  • AndEngine Physics Editor loading level

    - by Khawar Raza
    I have created a .pes file using PhysicsEditor and imported as xml and have added to my project. When I parsed it and created bodies, it is showing strange behavior. The mapping of bodies that I created in PhysicsEditor is totally different what I see in my application means the shapes I draw in PhysicsEditor are rendering differently in my app. Here is my xml and code to parse and add bodies to scene. PhysicsEditor XML file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!-- created with http://www.physicseditor.de --> <bodydef version="1.0"> <bodies numBodies="1"> <body name="car_path" dynamic="false" numFixtures="1"> <fixture density="2" friction="1" restitution="0" filter_categoryBits="1" filter_groupIndex="0" filter_maskBits="65535" isSensor="false" type="POLYGON" numPolygons="20" > <polygon numVertexes="6"> <vertex x="277.0000" y="152.0000" /> <vertex x="356.0000" y="172.0000" /> <vertex x="413.0000" y="194.0000" /> <vertex x="476.0000" y="223.0000" /> <vertex x="173.0000" y="232.0000" /> <vertex x="174.0000" y="148.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="4"> <vertex x="1556.0000" y="221.0000" /> <vertex x="1142.0000" y="94.0000" /> <vertex x="1255.0000" y="-15.0000" /> <vertex x="1554.0000" y="-14.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="-192.0000" y="177.0000" /> <vertex x="-888.0000" y="139.0000" /> <vertex x="-549.0000" y="-125.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="6"> <vertex x="1762.0000" y="24.0000" /> <vertex x="1862.0000" y="27.0000" /> <vertex x="1927.0000" y="68.0000" /> <vertex x="2078.0000" y="222.0000" /> <vertex x="1643.0000" y="212.0000" /> <vertex x="1642.0000" y="38.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="-1150.0000" y="146.0000" /> <vertex x="-1776.0000" y="140.0000" /> <vertex x="-1476.0000" y="-25.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="4"> <vertex x="-2799.0000" y="103.0000" /> <vertex x="-2684.0000" y="223.0000" /> <vertex x="-3112.0000" y="256.0000" /> <vertex x="-3108.0000" y="98.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="3112.0000" y="255.0000" /> <vertex x="2422.0000" y="222.0000" /> <vertex x="3120.0000" y="-71.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="4"> <vertex x="1142.0000" y="94.0000" /> <vertex x="1556.0000" y="221.0000" /> <vertex x="709.0000" y="226.0000" /> <vertex x="911.0000" y="93.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="6"> <vertex x="-2111.0000" y="89.0000" /> <vertex x="-2067.0000" y="94.0000" /> <vertex x="-2002.0000" y="139.0000" /> <vertex x="-2344.0000" y="223.0000" /> <vertex x="-2196.0000" y="112.0000" /> <vertex x="-2153.0000" y="91.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="4"> <vertex x="105.0000" y="233.0000" /> <vertex x="-94.0000" y="178.0000" /> <vertex x="69.0000" y="106.0000" /> <vertex x="91.0000" y="104.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="-2002.0000" y="139.0000" /> <vertex x="-2067.0000" y="94.0000" /> <vertex x="-2032.0000" y="110.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="4"> <vertex x="-1150.0000" y="146.0000" /> <vertex x="105.0000" y="233.0000" /> <vertex x="-2344.0000" y="223.0000" /> <vertex x="-2002.0000" y="139.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="413.0000" y="194.0000" /> <vertex x="356.0000" y="172.0000" /> <vertex x="376.0000" y="176.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="105.0000" y="233.0000" /> <vertex x="-192.0000" y="177.0000" /> <vertex x="-94.0000" y="178.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="4"> <vertex x="105.0000" y="233.0000" /> <vertex x="-1150.0000" y="146.0000" /> <vertex x="-888.0000" y="139.0000" /> <vertex x="-192.0000" y="177.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="3112.0000" y="255.0000" /> <vertex x="-3112.0000" y="256.0000" /> <vertex x="-2684.0000" y="223.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="3112.0000" y="255.0000" /> <vertex x="1556.0000" y="221.0000" /> <vertex x="1643.0000" y="212.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="709.0000" y="226.0000" /> <vertex x="173.0000" y="232.0000" /> <vertex x="476.0000" y="223.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="3112.0000" y="255.0000" /> <vertex x="2078.0000" y="222.0000" /> <vertex x="2422.0000" y="222.0000" /> </polygon> <polygon numVertexes="3"> <vertex x="3112.0000" y="255.0000" /> <vertex x="105.0000" y="233.0000" /> <vertex x="173.0000" y="232.0000" /> </polygon> </fixture> </body> </bodies> <metadata> <format>1</format> <ptm_ratio></ptm_ratio> </metadata> </bodydef> And here is my code: private void loadLevel() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub AssetManager assetManager = getAssets();   • Issue passing NSMutableDictionary to a method

    - by roswell
Hello all, I've got a chunk of code that's passing an NSMutableDictionary (amongst other things) to a method in another class: [self.shuttle makeAPICallAndReturnResultsUsingMode:@"login" module:@"login" query:credentials]; The NSMutableArray credentials is previously defined like this: NSMutableDictionary *credentials = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; [credentials setObject:username forKey:@"username"]; [credentials setObject:password forKey:@"password"]; The method that receives it looks like this: -(id)makeAPICallAndReturnResultsUsingMode:(NSString *)mode module:(NSString *)module query:(NSMutableDictionary *)query The code works fine up until this point within the above method: [query setObject:self.sessionID forKey:@"session_id"]; At this point, the application terminates -- the console informs me of this exception: * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: method sent to an uninitialized mutable dictionary object' This leads me to believe that I must initialize NSMutableDictionary in some way in my new method before I can access it, but I have no idea how. Any advice?

  • Struts 1 - struts-taglib.jar is not being found by my web application

    - by Yatendra Goel
I am using Struts-1. I have developed a struts-based web application. I am using struts tags in my JSP pages supplied in struts-taglib.jar by inserting the following lines in the JSP file: <%@ taglib prefix="html" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-html" %> <%@ taglib prefix="logic" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-logic" %> <%@ taglib prefix="bean" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-bean" %> Now the application is working fine when I run it on my localsystem but when I deploy it on a server, it shows the following exception: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: The absolute uri: http://struts.apache.org/tags-html cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application From the above exception, it seems that the application hasn't found the struts-taglib.jar file. But I have put the struts-taglib.jar in /WEB-INF/lib directory. Then where is the problem? Note: You can also look at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2452492/java-problem-in-deploying-web-application for more information

  • Outlook Interop Send Message from Account

    - by Reiste
Okay, the specs have changed on this one somewhat. Maybe someone can help me with this new problem. Manually, what the user is doing is opening an new message in Outlook (2007 now) which has the "From..." field exposed. They open this up, select a certain account from the Global Address List, and send the message on behalf of that account. Is this possible to do? I can get the AddressEntry from the Global address list like so: AddressList list = null; foreach (AddressList addressList in _outlookApp.Session.AddressLists) { if (addressList.Name.ToLower().Equals("global address list")) { list = addressList; break; } } if (list != null) { AddressEntry entry = null; foreach (AddressEntry addressEntry in list.AddressEntries) { if (addressEntry.Name.ToLower().Equals("outgoing mail account")) { entry = addressEntry; break; } } } But I'm not sure I can make an Account type from the Address Entry. It seems to happen manually, when they select the address to send from. How do I mirror this in the Interop? Thanks! (My Original Question): I developed a small C# program to send email using the Outlook 2007 interop. The client required that the mail not be send using the default account - they had a secondary account they needed used. No problem - I used the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Account class to access the availabled accounts, and choose the correct one. Now, it turns out they need this to work in Outlook 2003. Of course, the Account class doesn't exist in the Outlook interop 11.0. How can I achieve the same thing with Outlook 2003? Thanks in advance.

  • How to get SpecFlow working with xUnit.net as the test runner

    - by Mike Scott
I'm trying to use xUnit.net as the test runner for SpecFlow. The SpecFlow 1.2 binaries from the official download area don't contain an xUnit.net provider but the master branch on GitHub has one, so I build SpecFlow.Core.dll from that. I'm using xUnit.net 1.5. However, when I change the unitTestProvider name in the app.config in my spec project, I get a null reference custom tool error and the generated .feature.cs file is the single line: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Has anyone succeeded in getting SpecFlow to work with xUnit.net? If so, how?

  • AS3 : RegExp exec method in loop problem

    - by Boun
    Hi everyone, I need some help about RegExp in AS3. I have a simple pattern : patternYouTube = new RegExp ( "v(?:\/|=)([A-Z0-9_-]+)", "gi" ); This pattern is looking for the youTube id video. For example : var tmpUrl : String; var result : Object; var toto : Array = new Array(); toto = [http://www.youtube.com/v/J-vCxmjCm-8&autoplay=1, http://www.youtube.com/v/xFTRnE1WBmU&autoplay=1]; var i : uint; for ( i = 0 ; i < toto.length ; i++) { tmpUrl = toto[i]; result = patternYouTube.exec ( tmpUrl ); if ( result.length != 0 && result != null ) { trace(result); } } When i == 0, it works perfectly. Flash returns me : v/J-vCxmjCm-8,J-vCxmjCm-8 When i == 1, it fails. Flash returns me : null When I revert the two strings in my array such as : toto = [ http://www.youtube.com/v/xFTRnE1WBmU&autoplay=1, http://www.youtube.com/v/J-vCxmjCm-8&autoplay=1 ]; When i == 0, it works perfectly : Flash returns me : xFTRnE1WBmU When i == 1, it fails : Flash returns me : null Do you have any idea about the problem in the loop ?

  • CompliationLock throws HttpException when registering areas for ASP.NET MVC unit tests

The moment I added a unit test to my ASP.NET MVC application to test some of the area routing, I got an HttpException coming out of the System.Web.Complication.CompilationLock type initializer with the following stack trace. • Enum "does not have a no-arg default constructor" with Jaxb and cxf

    - by Dave
A client is having an issue running java2ws on some of their code, which uses & extends classes that are consumed from my SOAP web services. Confused yet? :) I'm exposing a SOAP web service (JBoss5, Java 6). Someone is consuming that web service with Axis1 and creating a jar out of it with the data types and client stubs. They are then defining their own type, which extends one of my types. My type contains an enumeration. class MyParent { private MyEnumType myEnum; // getters, settters for myEnum; } class TheirChild extends MyParent { ... } When they are running java2ws on their code (which extends my class), they get Caused by: com.sun.xml.bind.v2.runtime.IllegalAnnotationsException: 2 counts of IllegalAnnotationExceptions net.foo.bar.MyEnuMType does not have a no-arg default constructor. this problem is related to the following location: at net.foo.bar.MyEnumType at public net.foo.bar.MyEnumType net.foo.bar.MyParent.getMyEnum() The enum I've defined is below. This is now how it comes out after being consumed, but it's how I have it defined on the app server: @XmlType(name = "MyEnumType") @XmlEnum public enum MyEnumType { Val1("Val1"), Val2("Val2") private final String value; MyEnumType(String v) { value = v; } public String value() { return value; } public static MyEnumType fromValue(String v) { if (v == null || v.length() == 0) { return null; } if (v.equals("Val1")) { return MyEnumType.Val1; } if (v.equals("Val2")) { return MyEnumType.Val2; } return null; } } I've seen things online and other posts, like (this one) regarding Jaxb's inability to handle Lists or things like that, but I'm baffled about my enum. I'm pretty sure you can't have a default constructor for an enum (well, at least a public no-arg constructor, Java yells at me when I try), so I'm not sure what makes this error possible. Any ideas? Also, the "2 counts of IllegalAnnotationsExceptions" may be because my code actually has two enums that are written similarly, but I left them out of this example for brevity.

  • Disposables, Using & Try/Catch Blocks

    - by Aren B
Having a mental block today, need a hand verifying my logic isn't fubar'ed. Traditionally I would do file i/o similar to this: FileStream fs = null; // So it's visible in the finally block try { fs = File.Open("Foo.txt", FileMode.Open); /// Do Stuff } catch(IOException) { /// Handle Stuff } finally { if (fs != null) fs.Close(); } However, this isn't very elegant. Ideally I'd like to use the using block to dispose of the filestream when I'm done, however I am unsure about the synergy between using and try/catch. This is how i'd like to implement the above: try { using(FileStream fs = File.Open("Foo.txt", FileMode.Open)) { /// Do Stuff } } catch(Exception) { /// Handle Stuff } However, I'm worried that a premature exit (via thrown exception) from within the using block may not allow the using block to complete execution and clean up it's object. Am I just paranoid, or will this actually work the way I intend it to?

  • Report Viewer problem after moving to new server

    - by SystemicPlural
I have just moved a site from a Windows 2003, IIS6 SQL 2005 server to a new one with Windows 2008, IIS7 and SQL 2008. I am having problems with the Report Viewer. I have installed the Report Viewer Re-distributable (I've tried 2005, 2005sp, 2008 and 2008sp) I've Mapped a handler in IIS for Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd to type Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler, Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a However whenever I run a report on the website I get the following error message: Could not load type 'Microsoft.Reporting.Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler' from assembly 'Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. I am stumped. Any ideas?

  • Visual Studio 2008 - App_webreferences and dynamic urls

    - by Patrick Hempton
When you add a web service reference in VS 2008 Web site project, you get a new folder in App_webreferences. This contains a disco, wsdl and discomap file. Additionally, you get a key/value pair in the web.config which contains the endpoint URL. Within the disco, wsdl and discomap files, the URL is strewn about leaving many places to change the url as we move from dev/test/stage/production. Why is it that when I change the URL in the web.config and perform an update on the web reference, the old URL remains in all three of those files? Why does it not get updated? Has anyone figured out how to manage this? Any insight is appreciated.

  • UITableView background customization strange behavior

    - by Omer
Hi, There is a couple of hours that I'm trying to set a tableView background image. My controller is a subclass of UITableViewController, and I simply wrote this lines of code in ViewDidLoad method. UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"home-portrait-iphone.png"]; UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; self.tableView.backgroundView = imageView; Everything looks great on the simulator, I mean, I see my table and as background view, y can see the image. But when the app is running on the device (ipod touch), I get this error: Program received signal: “SIGABRT”. and the stack says: * -[UITableView setBackgroundView:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x812e00 Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '** -[UITableView setBackgroundView:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x812e00' and the exception is thrown in the assignment, a mean this line: self.tableView.backgroundView = imageView; any ideas? Thank you in advance.

  • Web Site in solution where "Rebuild Solution" compile succeeds cannot launch debugger

    - by fordareh
I have a solution that includes a Web Site (created using the web site template not the web app project template - converting isn't an option, btw). When I rebuild all, the compile succeeds, but strangely displays 3 errors, all of which are "Could not get dependencies for project reference 'PROJNAME'". When I try to launch the debugger, I get the "There were build errors." dialogue. Two questions: If I choose the 'Yes' option in the debug error dialogue to run the last successful build, will it run on the code that my Rebuild All just compiled? How do I resolve this issue? I checked this post and am disheartened by my prospects. What is strange, though, is that I added these same projects to a separate web site solution that compiled/debugged fine, removed the test web site and re-added the target website I would like to debug, and it failed in the same manner. Is there a secret web site .proj file for .NET web sites? http://stackoverflow.com/questions/863379/could-not-get-dependencies-for-project-reference

  • Is there a better way than this to find out if an IsolatedStorage file exists or not?

    - by Edward Tanguay
    I'm using IsolatedStorage in a Silverlight application for caching, so I need to know if the file exists or not which I do with the following method. I couldn't find a FileExists method for IsolatedStorage so I'm just catching the exception, but it seems to be a quite general exception, I'm concerned it will catch more than if the file doesn't exist. Is there a better way to find out if a file exists in IsolatedStorage than this: public static string LoadTextFromIsolatedStorageFile(string fileName) { string text = String.Empty; using (IsolatedStorageFile isf = IsolatedStorageFile.GetUserStoreForApplication()) { try { using (IsolatedStorageFileStream isfs = new IsolatedStorageFileStream(fileName, FileMode.Open, isf)) { using (StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(isfs)) { string lineOfData = String.Empty; while ((lineOfData = sr.ReadLine()) != null) text += lineOfData; } } return text; } catch (IsolatedStorageException ex) { return ""; } } }

  • HTTP 404 Error manifests itself as EndPointNotFoundException on a WCF client

    - by dudia
How can I make my client treat 404 Error correctly? Right now it catches a general exception... My WCF Server uses WebOperationContext.Current.OutgoingResponse.SetStatusAsNotFound(); To return a 404 Error code however my WCF client interperts it as an EndPointNotFoundException There was no endpoint listening at http://myUrl that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details. The inner exception is WebException "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

  • Retrieve EF4 POCOs using WCF REST services starter kit

    - by muruge
I am using WCF REST service (GET method) to retrieve my EF4 POCOs. The service seem to work just fine. When I query the uri in my browser I get the results as expected. In my client application I am trying to use WCF REST Starter Kit's HTTPExtension method - ReadAsDataContract() to convert the result back into my POCO. This works fine when the POCO's navigation property is a single object of related POCO. The problem is when the navigation property is a collection of related POCOs. The ReadAsDataContract() method throws an exception with message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Below are my POCOs. [DataContract(Namespace = "", Name = "Trip")] public class Trip { [DataMember(Order = 1)] public virtual int TripID { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 2)] public virtual int RegionID { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 3)] public virtual System.DateTime BookingDate { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 4)] public virtual Region Region { // removed for brevity } } [DataContract(Namespace = "", Name = "Region")] public class Region { [DataMember(Order = 1)] public virtual int RegionID { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 2)] public virtual string RegionCode { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 3)] public virtual FixupCollection<Trip> Trips { // removed for brevity } } [CollectionDataContract(Namespace = "", Name = "{0}s", ItemName = "{0}")] [Serializable] public class FixupCollection<T> : ObservableCollection<T> { protected override void ClearItems() { new List<T>(this).ForEach(t => Remove(t)); } protected override void InsertItem(int index, T item) { if (!this.Contains(item)) { base.InsertItem(index, item); } } } And this is how I am trying retrieve a Region POCO. static void GetRegion() { string uri = "http://localhost:8080/TripService/Regions?id=1"; HttpClient client = new HttpClient(uri); using (HttpResponseMessage response = client.Get(uri)) { Region region; response.EnsureStatusIsSuccessful(); try { region = response.Content.ReadAsDataContract<Region>(); // this line throws exception because Region returns a collection of related trips Console.WriteLine(region.RegionName); } catch (Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine(ex.Message); } } } Would appreciate any pointers.

  • FTP OVER SSL - Invalid Token Error

    - by crazsmith
I am trying to implement FTP over SSL to upload encrypted files. I've created a SSL certificate and send it to the vendor. But I couldn't make a FTPS connection to the server. When connecting via FTPS, I'm authenticating using my private key file. I have tried .NET FTPWebRequest, SmartFTp,CuteFTP Pro. I am getting the following error:- A call to SSPI failed. See inner exception. The inner exception is "The token supplied to the function is invalid" FtpWebRequest request = (FtpWebRequest)FtpWebRequest.Create("ftp://RemoteHost.Com"); request.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("UserName", "Password"); request.KeepAlive = false; request.EnableSsl = true; X509Certificate2 cert2 = new X509Certificate2("PrivateKeyFile.pfx", "password"); request.ClientCertificates.Add(cert2); FtpWebResponse response = (FtpWebResponse)request.GetResponse(); Any Help Appreciated. Thanks.

  • CRM 2011 XAML Workflows in VS 2012

    - by AlexR
I'm writing this knowing there's another topic like this to be found here the answer provided however does not make much sense to me and whatever I tried doesn't seem to work so I'm seeking clarification. The situation is as follows: * New CRM 2011 toolkit solution * New project added for Xaml workflow * Adding CRM "Workflow" activity causes error The error: It shows a redbox "Could not generate view for Workflow" The Exception: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. --- System.IO.IOException: Cannot locate resource 'workflowdesigner.xaml' I have VS 2012 SP2 with the latest (June) CRM SDK Toolkit installed. I did a clean install of the toolkit so it's not "upgraded" to prevent any old assemblies being referenced. I tried the things from the referenced question and moved the assemblies over and also re-referenced the latest assemblies to make sure everything works fine. I also tried downloading a workflow XAML created in CRM and opening but it gives the same error. I also opened the "example" workflow XAML solution in the SDK, again same result.

  • Mat matrix multiplication, openCV?

    - by facebook-1593205594
I initialized two Mat images as: Mat ft=Mat::zeros(src.rows,src.cols,CV_32FC1),h=Mat::zeros(src.rows,src.cols,CV_32FC1); and then i have some calculations: ft has fourier transform stored for an image, and h has matrix for Laplacian filtering in fourier domain.......they both have same dimensions, and then i did multiplication of them using both h*ft and gemm(h,ft,1,NULL,0,temp); function call but while executing it shows some problems..... it reads like this: opencv error assertion failed (some long code and at last says something about gemm in ....matmul.cpp)......termination called after throwing exception of 'cv::exception'

  • State Machine WF: Issues with workflow termination

    - by AgentHunt
Hello, We have a state machine workflow for maintaining the state of an application submitted by a user. One of the issues I am having is related to workflow termination. In one of the states, I had a bug. When the application reached that state, it threw an exception and as a result, the terminate event of the workflow was called and the particular workflow instance got removed from the persistence database. So I am not able to load that workflow instance anymore. I would have hoped, if there is an error in one of the states, an exception would be thrown(so that we know what the issue is), yet the entire workflow instance should not disappear. Can the fault handler activity ensure that the workflow does not terminate. Also, is there a way, when the terminate event is called, the instances do not get removed from the persistence store. Thanks for any help/suggestions.

My webapp talks to Siebel just fine in one test environment, but in another we are getting the following error message: <Exception> <Major No.>256</Major No.> <Minor No.>6750384</Minor No.> <Message> The workflow/task engine cannot determine a next step while executing process definition 'Dynamic Pricing Procedure'. • UIPopoverController gesture handling in UISplitViewController for iOS 5.1 and below

    - by 5StringRyan
I've (along with many others) have noticed that Apple changed the appearance of the popover controller to use a "slider" window rather than the usual "popover" tableview that I've used. While I'm okay with the new appearance, like others I'm having issues with the swipe gesture that is introduced: iOS 5.1 swipe gesture hijacked by UISplitViewController - how to avoid? The fix for this seems to be to set the split view controller method "presentWithGesture" to "NO." UISplitViewController *splitViewController = [[UISplitViewController alloc] init]; splitViewController.presentsWithGesture = NO; This works great if the user is using iOS 5.1, however, if this code is run using iOS 5.0 or below, an exception is thrown since this method is only available for iOS 5.1: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[UISplitViewController setPresentsWithGesture:]: unrecognized selector Is it possible to get rid of this gesture without using this method so that it's backwards compatible with iOS' 5.0 and below?

  • Bluetooth connect to a RS232 adapter in android

    - by ThePosey
Hello All, I am trying to use the Bluetooth Chat sample API app that google provides to connect to a bluetooth RS232 adapter hooked up to another device. Here is the app for reference: http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/BluetoothChat/index.html And here is the spec sheet for the RS232 connector just for reference: http://serialio.com/download/Docs/BlueSnap-guide-4.77%5FCommands.pdf Well the problem is that when I go to connect to the device with: mmSocket.connect(); (BluetoothSocket::connect()) I always get an IOException error thrown by the connect method. When I do a toString on the exception I get "Service discovery failed". My question is mostly what are the cases that would cause an IOException to get thrown in the connect method? I know those are in the source somewhere but I don't know exactly how the java layer that you write apps in and the C/C++ layer that contains the actual stacks interface. I know that it uses the bluez bluetooth stack which is written in C/C++ but not sure how that ties into the java layer which is what I would think is throwing the exception. Any help on pointing me to where I can try to dissect this issue would be incredible. Also just to note I am able to pair with the RS232 adapter just fine but I am never able to actually connect. Here is the logcat output for more reference: I/ActivityManager( 1018): Displayed activity com.example.android.BluetoothChat/.DeviceListActivity: 326 ms (total 326 ms) E/BluetoothService.cpp( 1018): stopDiscoveryNative: D-Bus error in StopDiscovery: org.bluez.Error.Failed (Invalid discovery session) D/BluetoothChat( 1729): onActivityResult -1 D/BluetoothChatService( 1729): connect to: 00:06:66:03:0C:51 D/BluetoothChatService( 1729): setState() STATE_LISTEN - STATE_CONNECTING E/BluetoothChat( 1729): + ON RESUME + I/BluetoothChat( 1729): MESSAGE_STATE_CHANGE: STATE_CONNECTING I/BluetoothChatService( 1729): BEGIN mConnectThread E/BluetoothService.cpp( 1018): stopDiscoveryNative: D-Bus error in StopDiscovery: org.bluez.Error.Failed (Invalid discovery session) E/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp( 1018): event_filter: Received signal org.bluez.Device:PropertyChanged from /org/bluez/1498/hci0/dev_00_06_66_03_0C_51 I/BluetoothChatService( 1729): CONNECTION FAIL TOSTRING: java.io.IOException: Service discovery failed D/BluetoothChatService( 1729): setState() STATE_CONNECTING - STATE_LISTEN D/BluetoothChatService( 1729): start D/BluetoothChatService( 1729): setState() STATE_LISTEN - STATE_LISTEN I/BluetoothChat( 1729): MESSAGE_STATE_CHANGE: STATE_LISTEN V/BluetoothEventRedirector( 1080): Received android.bleutooth.device.action.UUID I/NotificationService( 1018): enqueueToast pkg=com.example.android.BluetoothChat callback=android.app.ITransientNotification$Stub$Proxy@446327c8 duration=0 I/BluetoothChat( 1729): MESSAGE_STATE_CHANGE: STATE_LISTEN E/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp( 1018): event_filter: Received signal org.bluez.Device:PropertyChanged from /org/bluez/1498/hci0/dev_00_06_66_03_0C_51 V/BluetoothEventRedirector( 1080): Received android.bleutooth.device.action.UUID The device I'm trying to connect to is the 00:06:66:03:0C:51 which I can scan for and apparently pair with just fine.

    - by raqz
i have this app that i developed and it works great on the simulator with no errors what so ever. but the moment i try to run the same on the phone for testing, the app crashes stating filenotfoundexception. it says the file /res/drawable/divider_horizontal.9.png is missing. but actually speaking, i have never referenced that file through my code. i believe its a system/os file that
