  Hi, First of all, quickly what exactly I want to achieve: translate particular exception into the HTTP 404 so the ASP.NET can handle it further. I also tried to raise new HttpExcepton(404, "Not Found") from the handler but then the response code is 200 which I don't understand why. So the questions are: What is the proper way of translating AnException into HTTP 404 response? How does customErrors section work when handling exceptions in Application_Error? • Advice on optimzing speed for a Stored Procedure that uses Views

  Based on a previous question and with a lot of help from Damir Sudarevic (thanks) I have the following sql code which works great but is very slow. Can anyone suggest how I can speed this up and optimise for speed. I am now using SQL Server Express 2008 (not 2005 as per my original question). What this code does is retrieves parameters and their associated values from several tables and rotates the table in a form that can be easily compared. Its great for one of two rows of data but now I am testing with 100 rows and to run GetJobParameters takes over 7 minutes to complete? • MagicLibrary.dll 32bit convert for 64bit

  Hi Guys, I recently received an email about a guy who like to make my software compatible with 64Bit Windows 7 OS. I have 1 single problem though .. I have followed a steps regarding on compiling VS Solution/Project for 64bit. But when I start to to compile the solution for 64bit, this "Crownwood.Magic.Forms" (MagicLibrary.dll) doesn't work anymore. This is the compilation error message "Error 6 The type or namespace name 'Crownwood' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)" Please don't tell me I did not referenced the MagicLibrary.dll It's a bit of confusing because the MagicLibrary.dll is already in my reference list. I also remove and add it back. There was this CorFlags.exe but am not sure how to convert it to 64bit. "CorFlags MagicLibrary.dll /32BIT- /Force" did not work.. :( Please help. Thanks in advance - Jayson

I am of course assuming master pages caused this, since it's the only thing I've changed besides minor updates (that should not affect this in any way).

  I am trying to handle a drag & drop interaction, which involves mouse down, mouse move, and mouse up. Thirdly, the reference to the ellipse seems to be in a silly place. If there's two subscriptions, that variable reference will get overwritten quite quickly. I'm sure that there should be some way we can leverage the let keyword to introduce a variable to the linq expression that will mean the correct ellipse reference is available to both the mouse move and mouse up handlers How would you write this code?

  I use Eclipse (Helios) with PDT and egit. I have a project without versioning, so I created a git repository for it by doing: Team -> Share Project When I try to add the files of my project to the repository: Team -> Add I get an exception: Failed to add resource to index Failed to add resource to index Exception caught during execution of add command When I add the files manually on the command line, everything is working fine. Any ideas?   When I call a SQL statement via JDBC on the DB2 and the statement fails, I catch an SQLException with the following message text: com.ibm.db2.jcc.a.nn: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-206, SQLSTATE=42703, SQLERRMC=O.METADATENSATZ, DRIVER=3.52.95 I tried an automatic translation of the message according to the error list published by IBM, but there are placeholders inside the messages referencing other elements of the exception. While looking for these elements inside the exception, I found the DB2ExceptionFormatter and tried to use it to access the missing elements. But here I stopped, because the DB2ExceptionFormatter gave me a clue: Error occurred while trying to obtain message text from server. Only message tokens are available. So my question is: What do I have to configure to get the correct messages from the DB2 server? If I can get a human readable message from the server, I could use it directly and wouldn't have to translate it by myself.

• vb.net pdf reader load problem

  From the tools menu I have done right clickchoose itemCOM (tab) and ticked adobe pdf reader. From here I simply dragged the pdf tool onto my form. That's all I've done. Now on form load it throws a bug. "InvalidOperationException was unhandled" hovering over the message it says the following, An error occurred creating the form. • I just don't get AudioFileReadPackets

  I've tried to write the smallest chunk of code to narrow down a problem. It's now just a few lines and it doesn't work, which makes it pretty clear that I have a fundamental misunderstanding of how to use AudioFileReadPackets. I've read the docs and other examples online, and apparently I'm just not getting. Could you explain it to me? Here's what this block should do: I've previously opened a file. I want to read just one packet - the first one of the file - and then print it. But it crashes on the AudioFileReadPackets line: AudioFileID mAudioFile2; AudioFileOpenURL (audioFileURL, 0x01, 0, &mAudioFile2); UInt32 *audioData2 = (UInt32 *)malloc(sizeof(UInt32) * 1); AudioFileReadPackets(mAudioFile2, false, NULL, NULL, 0, (UInt32*)1, audioData2); NSLog(@"first packet:%i",audioData2[0]); (For clarity, I've stripped out all error handling.) It's the AFRP line that crashes out. (I understand that the third and fourth argument are useful, and in my "real" code, I use them, but they're not required, right? So NULL in this case should work, right?) So then what's going on? Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

• What can i do about an ObjectDisposedException in a dll i cannot access?

  Hey guys, I'm using a dll to monitor calls (Atapi.dll). Sometimes when events occur, there's an ObjectDisposedException. This seems to be random, i don't know what causes it. I can't debug it and i don't have the source code to it. The events that cause the exception are call events (conencting calls) through Tapi 2.0. It does not causes my app to crash. If i press on the continue button of the window visual studio is generating, the app continues ignoring the exception, but i'd rather not see it happening. I tried catching all code (not much) i have writting, but nothing catches it, and it also says i cannot debug it, because it is thrown in the dll. Does anyone have any idea how to solve or get pass this obstacle? Thanks in advance.

  We have a JAVA application that pulls the data from SAP, parses it and renders to the users. The data is pulled using JCO connector. Recently we were thrown an exception: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Character reference "&#00" is an invalid XML character. So, we are planning to write a new level of indirection where ALL special/illegal characters are replaced BEFORE parsing the XML. My questions here are : 1. Is there any existing(open source) utility that does this job of replacing illegal characters in XML? 2. Or if I had to write such utility, how should i handle them? 3. • Loading a RSA private key from memory using libxmlsec

  Hello, I'm currently using libxmlsec into my C++ software and I try to load a RSA private key from memory. To do this, I searched trough the API and found this function. It takes binary data, a size, a format string and several PEM-callback related parameters. When I call the function, it just stucks, uses 100% of the CPU time and never returns. Quite annoying, because I have no way of finding out what is wrong. Here is my code: d_xmlsec_dsig_context->signKey = xmlSecCryptoAppKeyLoadMemory( reinterpret_cast<const xmlSecByte*>(data), static_cast<xmlSecSize>(datalen), xmlSecKeyDataFormatBinary, NULL, NULL, NULL ); data is a const char* pointing to the raw bytes of my RSA key (using i2d_RSAPrivateKey(), from OpenSSL) and datalen the size of data. My test private key doesn't have a passphrase so I decided not to use the callbacks for the time being. Has someone already done something similar ? Do you guys see anything that I could change/test to get forward on this problem ? I just discovered the library on yesterday, so I might miss something obvious here; I just can't see it.   Within Async handler I'm creating an IObservable from webrequest which returns a redirect string. I'm subscribing to that observable and calling AsyncResult.CompleteCall() but I'm forced to use Thread.Sleep(100) in order to get it executed. And it doesn't work every time.
