The problem is ofcourse that this only covers errors on the server side. My question to the community is: What are you doing about client side errors, especially in javascript? And what about other quality of service issues, such as slow processing and other things that might be due to the client machine?

  • ASP.NET Rendering XMl/XSLT direct from the web - problem with non virtual path

    Hi, i have a small problem. Im using the ASP.NET Xml control and want to pass it a url to a rss feed and a stylesheet - so that i can style the rss myself on my website. When applying the full web path to the xml control (http://www.myserver.com/myfeed.rss) i get an exception telling me that the document source is not a valid virtual path. What am i doing wrong? I would hate to download the file before showing it...

    I am looking for a site that allows you to input a project name, choose a doctype, a js library etc. and then generates the directory structure and files to start a web project. I know about project deploy, but it is no longer maintained. There was a new one that was created within the last 2 or 3 months, but for the life of me I can't find it either through Google nor my delicious bookmarks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     I have two servers -- a backend server, and a frontend server. Every night, the backend server generates static .html files, which are then compressed into .tar format. I need to write a script that resides on the backend server that will transfer the .tar file to the frontend server, and then decompress that .tar file into to the public web directory of the frontend server.     I'm trying to set the Default URL of my MVC application to a view within an area of my application. The area is called "Common", the controller "Home" and the view "Index". I've tried setting the defaultUrl in the forms section of web.config to "~/Common/Home/Index" with no success. I've also tried mapping a new route in global.asax, thus: routes.MapRoute( "Area", "{area}/{controller}/{action}/{id}", new { area = "Common", controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = "" } ); Again, to no avail.

    I want to query from dbpedia using their sparql interface (http://dbpedia.org/sparql) I want to get the abstract of http://dbpedia.org/page/Herbie_Mann I know that I have to call abstract ontology http://dbpedia.org/ontology/abstract and my final sparsql query is like following : SELECT ?abstract WHERE { { <http://dbpedia.org/page/Herbie_Mann> <http://dbpedia.org/ontology/abstract> ?abstract} } but yet I'm not able to see anything. please help me as I am beginner in semantic web!
