    Hey guys quick question, I am kind of a noob at administering my server right now. I was just wondering if anyone could let me know what I was doing wrong in trying to enable mod_deflate. I have Apache 2.0+ and tried the code in my htaccess file AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html text/plain text/xml text/css <FilesMatch "\\.(js|css|html|htm|php|xml)$"> SetOutputFilter DEFLATE </FilesMatch> It did not compress any of my files when I tested my site in firebug. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong, would really appreciate any pointers.

  • Iterating through a range of dates in Python

    This is working fine, but I'm looking for any feedback on how to do it better. Right now I think it's better than nested loops, but it starts to get Perl-one-linerish when you have a generator in a list comprehension. Any suggestions are welcome. day_count = (end_date - start_date).days + 1 for single_date in [d for d in (start_date + timedelta(n) for n in range(day_count)) if d <= end_date]: print strftime("%Y-%m-%d", single_date.timetuple()) Notes: I'm not actually using this to print; that's just for demo purposes. The variables start_date and end_date are datetime.date objects, because I don't need the timestamps (they're going to be used to generate a report). I checked the StackOverflow questions which were similar before posting this, but none were exactly the same. I am trying to creating a form on Frontpage 2003 and right now all my boxes are all over the place, as shown below: Name: [----] Email: [----] I want the boxes to be like this: Name: [----] Email: [----] I have tried using table to line up the boxes but when it come to giving an ID using the 'Lable' on the 'Form' tool bar by highlighting the text box and 'Name', the table get highlighted and wont create an lable. I just want to line up vertically all the boxes and i am new to web design so i dont understand much about HTML or CSS. I dont think Frontpage 2003 has CSS.   • Python: Give a class its own `self` at instantiation time

    I've got a button class that you can instantiate like so: engine.createElement((0, 0), Button(code=print, args=("Stuff!",))) And when it is clicked it will print "Stuff!". However, I need the button to destroy itself whenever it is clicked. Something like this: engine.createElement((0, 0), Button(code=engine.killElement, args=(self,))) However, that would just kill the caller, because self refers to the caller at that moment. What I need to do is give the class its own 'self' in advance... I thought of just making the string 'self' refer to the self variable upon click, but what if I wanted to use the string 'self' in the arguments? What is the way to do this? Is my architecture all wrong or something? Thanks.
