In my development environment, I use a virtual-host for each project. The virtual-host for a project is configured during the "deploytodevelopment" ANT task. Which method would you recommend for integrating PHP into my build process? Change the virtual-hosts setup to point to the workspace/myproject/src folder. Edit the PHP in the workspace/myproject/src folder. or Check out another working copy of the myproject/src folder to the build/myproject folder. • Ubuntu dpkg error , after crash and filesystem error recovery

  Ubuntu recently crashed , causing it's partition damaged ( which is EXT4) and Ubuntu was unable to boot , because it couldn't mount anything , only displays Busybox So I used the Live CD to run fsck on the partition, which fixed it , but deleted some nodes Now Ubuntu is working , but some files were missing , for example I lost the Panels configurations and Chromium's Extensions The Most Annoying problem , that there is some files corrupted , for example when I try to install any program, I got this (Reading database ... 95%dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting: files list file for package 'libservlet2.4-java' is missing final newline I tried these commands dpkg --configure -a apt-get -f install and from GUI , Synaptic Package Manager Fix Broken Packages So this file "libservlet2.4-java" Does anyone knows what it does ! and where it's location ? and how can I fix/get-correct-version-of it ? Also , is there any way I could tell Ubuntu to Check for ALL it's file , and if there is something corrupted it should recover it form the CD ?

• Ubuntu won't boot after initializing the Build Environment for Android

  My laptop worked perfectly util I initialized the build environment for Android. The GUI won't start. It looks like some kinds of graphics card problems. I tried to fix it but after trying a lot of solutions on the internet nothing worked. (I only know basic linux stuffs.) I've already reinstalled the OS. However, I still want to build the Android from source. Any idea what might cause the problem? any workaround? • Configuration Manager Setting Causing Error PRJ0019

  Recently I ran into an issue with a project failing to build on an automated build server using CruiseControl. When I looked into the build log I saw that the Post-Build project was failing with the error message: "error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Post-Build Event..." This was most frustrating especially since the solution was building without issue on my local development environment. The Post-Build project was a C++ project that basically called several batch files to unregister/register assemblies, copy resources and supporting files, and place other dependencies in the GAC. I decided to run each of the batch files manually to see if that would provide more information as to why this project was failing. This lead me to determine that the batch file that was placing assemblies in the GAC was the culprit and that it was failing to find a particular assembly. The missing assembly was the output of another project. The project that was not producing the expected output was another C++ project that called a batch file. This batch process was actually embedding resource files into an assembly and then copying the assembly to the expected location. The real confusion started when I looked back into my Subversion log and noted that nothing had changed in this project in more than 2 months! It was almost as if the project had stopped building altogether. But what would cause that?! The Configuration Manager, obviously! Checking the solution's Configuration Manager settings, I found that the project that was not producing any output was in fact not selected to be part of the build process when the "Any CPU" platform was selected. This was the problem! I had recently updated the CruiseControl configurations to force the solution to be built targeting the platform "Any CPU". As a result, the project that was at the root of the problem was not configured to be built and the post-build process was failing when it couldn't find what it needed.

NTFS is inconsistent. Run chkdsk /f on Windows then reboot it TWICE! The usage of the /f parameter is very IMPORTANT! No modification was and will be made to NTFS by this software until it gets repaired. I don't have windows installed, how can I run chkdsk /f from ubuntu?

• 0xC0017011 and other error messages - what is the error message text?

  Recently there was a bug raised against BIDS Helper which originated in my Expression Editor control. Thankfully the person that raised it kindly included a screenshot, so I had the error code (HRESULT 0xC0017011) and a stack trace that pointed the finger firmly at my control, but no error message text. The code itself looked fine so I searched on the error code but got no results. I’d expected to get a hit from Books Online with the Integration Services Error and Message Reference topic at the very least, but no joy. There is however a more accurate and definitive reference, namely the header file that defines all these codes dtsmsg.h which you can find at- C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\SDK\Include\dtsmsg.h Looking the code up in the header file gave me a much more useful error message. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // The parameter is sensitive // // MessageId: DTS_E_SENSITIVEPARAMVALUENOTALLOWED // // MessageText: // // Accessing value of the parameter variable for the sensitive parameter "%1!s!" is not allowed. Verify that the variable is used properly and that it protects the sensitive information. // #define DTS_E_SENSITIVEPARAMVALUENOTALLOWED ((HRESULT)0xC0017011L) Unfortunately I’d forgotten all about this. By the time I had remembered about it, the person who raised the issue had managed to narrow it down to something to do with having  sensitive parameter. Putting that together with the error message I’d finally found, a quick poke around in the code and I found the new GetSensitiveValue method which seemed to do the trick. The HResult fields are also listed online but it only shows the short error message, and it doesn’t include that all so important HRESULT value itself. So let this be a lesson to you (and me!), if you need to check  SSIS error go straight to the horses mouth - dtsmsg.h. This is particularly true when working with early builds, or CTP releases when we expect the documentation to be a bit behind. There is also a programmatic approach to getting better SSIS error messages. I should to take another look at the error handling in the control, or the way it is hosted in BIDS Helper. I suspect that if I use an implementation of Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.Wrapper.IDTSInfoEvents100 I could catch the error itself and get the full error message text which I could then report back. This would obviously be a better user experience and also make it easier to diagnose any issues like this in the future. See ExprssionEvaluator.cs for an example of this in use in the Expression Editor control.

With boost 1.41 (which is in ports) mapnik doesn't build. somewhere in internet, i found that mapnik successfully builded with boost 1.42. • How to build the mainline kernel source package?

  Ubuntu kernel PPA only provides linux-headers*.deb and linux-image*.deb packages. How can I build the corresponding linux-source*.deb package ? Context: I'm currently running Ubuntu 11.10 with the mainline kernel (3.2 rc6 now) to get a better support for my sandybridge IGP (Dell E6420 laptop with intel i5-2520M CPU). Appears, i'd like to install this touchpad driver, ALPS touchpads being badly supported (see previous link bug report), while waiting for upstream support in kernel version 3.3. Problem is, DKMS keeps complaining about not finding the full kernel source: Module build for the currently running kernel was skipped since the kernel source for this kernel does not seem to be installed. Appears I may not need the full source but I'd still like to try having it installed to see if it solve my problem. What I tried : Uncompressing the kernel.org source archive in /usr/src/. DKMS still complaining. Manually updating the kernel source package with uupdate and the mainline source package like explained here. Did not succeed. Manually building the linux-source package following @roadmr and @elmicha instructions. I eventually succeeded to build it but DKMS still complained about the missing source. At last I noticed an error I did not catch in the first place while reinstalling the kernel headers. Appears the .deb I got may have been corrupted, downloading it again did the trick :) Alas, while DKMS agreed to compile the module i ran into the following error which appears to have already been reported. This issue isn't yet solved but I won't try to because of the following: in the end I decided to test the precise kernel version 3.2-rc6 through the xorg-edgers ppa which appears to be correctly patched: it works. Nevertheless, it might still be of some interest to know how to build the mainline linux-source package as the Ubuntu Kernel Team doesn't provide it. Not to mention that I learned a lot in the process ^^

  Hello I compiled & installed gcc4.4 using macports. When I try to compile using - g++ -g -Wall -ansi -pthread -std=c++0x main.cpp...: #include ... std::thread t(handle); t.join(); .... The compiler returns: cserver.cpp: In member function 'int CServer::run()': cserver.cpp:48: error: 'thread' is not a member of 'std' cserver.cpp:48: error: expected ';' before 't' cserver.cpp:49: error: 't' was not declared in this scope But std::cout <<... compiles fine..   Hi everyone ! I was getting a symbol lookup error in player stage, I rectified it after hours of hit and trial ! ( see my blogspot ). Even then in about 30 uses, the error resurfaces and I have to rectify it !. As of now, I am able to work fine ! the rectification just takes about 30 seconds.   Hey all, I know that this error has been discussed elsewhere on the web, and this may seem like a stupid question, but I've got a very strange situation on my hands here. I'm running on Snow Leopard, with fully updated ruby and rails gems. I created a new rails project (ruby new testing), then navigated into that folder (cd ~/testing), and tried to create a basic scaffolding (ruby script/generate scaffold newtest name:string), and I got this error back: "ruby: No such file or directory -- script/generate (LoadError)" I have searched google thoroughly and tried to implement every solution that I could, but nothing has been working. I don't understand why I have this error or how to fix it. Can anyone help me, please?
