  • Shared Cookies between WebView and HTTPClient?

    - by Arpit
An Android app I am building requires web authentication for users to make data calls. In Adobe AIR and later the iPhone, we did this by rendering a login page in a webview-equivalent page and setting a cookie when the user signs in. Subsequent data calls use the same Cookie Jar and so are seen as authenticated. In the Android version, I authenticate the user using a WebView and then once thats done, I make a data call using DefaultHttpClient, however I cant seem to load the data on the second call. Is there some cookie gotcha I am missing? I imagine the HTTPClient and WebView would share the same Cookie space. Am I wrong?

  • Zend_Json::decode returning null

    - by davykiash
Am trying to validate my form using an AJAX call $("#button").click(function() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "<?php echo $this->baseUrl() ?>/expensetypes/async", data: 'fs=' + JSON.stringify($('#myform').serialize(true)), contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json" }); }); On my controller my code is as follows //Map the form from the client-side call $myFormData = Zend_Json::decode($this->getRequest()->getParam("fs") ,Zend_Json::TYPE_ARRAY); $form = new Form_Expensetypes(); $form->isValid($myFormData); My problem is that I cannot validate since Zend_Form::isValid expects an array Am not quite sure wether the problem is at my serialisation at the client end or Zend_Json::decode function does not function with this kind of JSON parsing.

  • Deleting blog post using Blogger API, Javascript and Prototype

    - by Mikhail
Hello, everyone! I'm trying to delete a blog post on blogger.com using Blogger API via Prototype Javascript library. Here's my code: var request = new Ajax.Request( 'http://www.blogger.com/feeds/'+remoteBlogId+'/posts/default/'+postId { method:'DELETE', requestHeaders:['Authorization', 'GoogleLogin auth='+authKey], on200:function(){/*onSuccess*/}, onFailure:function(){/*onFailure*/} } ); As far as I can see from API description, everything's alright, but when I run this, it fires onSuccess function, but doesn't delete the entry on the server. I guess that Prototype doesn't work well with HTTP methods other than GET and POST (here's the ticket describing similar problem though proposed patch didn't work for me) Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance, Mikhail.

  • Can I prevent window.onbeforeunload from being called when doing an AJAX call

    - by Paul
I have an AJAX-based grid control. We hook into the window.onbeforeunload event to check if they have unsaved data and if so present them with a message "Are you sure you want to navigate away...you have unsaved data...". All this is good. But AJAX calls also trigger window.onbeforeunload and so if the grid has unsaved data and we make an AJAX call (such as to delete a row in another grid) the user gets the "Are you sure you want to navigate away...you have unsaved data..." message which is not good. Is it possible to suppress the onbeforeunload event for AJAX calls? Or is it possible to detect that a call is an AJAX call? Otherwise we'll have to get hacking! Thanks

  • "Executing SQL directly; no cursor" error when using SCOPE_IDENTITY/IDENT_CURRENT

    - by Chris
There wasn't much on google about this error, so I'm askin here. I'm switching a PHP web application from using MySQL to SQL Server 2008 (using ODBC, not php_mssql). Running queries or anything else isn't a problem, but when I try to do scope_identity (or any similar functions), I get the error "Executing SQL directly; no cursor". I'm doing this immediately after an insert, so it should still be in scope. Running the same insert statement then query for the insert ID works fine in SQL Server Management Studio. Here's my code right now (everything else in the database wrapper class works fine for other queries, so I'll assume it isn't relevant right now): function insert_id(){ return $this->query_first("SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY() as insert_id"); } query_first being a function that returns the first result from the first field of a query (basically the equivalent of execute_scalar() on .net). The full error message: Warning: odbc_exec() [function.odbc-exec]: SQL error: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Executing SQL directly; no cursor., SQL state 01000 in SQLExecDirect in C:[...]\Database_MSSQL.php on line 110

  • WCF client service call very slow

    - by JohnIdol
I have a WCF client (running on Win7) pointing to a WebSphere service. All is good from a test harness but when my calls to the service originate from an HttpHandler or a standard aspx page the calls are extremely slow (it takes up to 10 times longer) and not just the first time. If I send the exact same envelopes through Soap-UI or without an HttpHandler it's all good. If the envelope is the same the only thing left is the HttpHeader. What should I be looking for and is there some config setting that might do the trick? Any help appreciated!

  • Do WPF ComboBox SelectedIndex and SelectedValue have different behavior on SelectionChanged event?

    - by Junior Mayhé
Hello guys I got this cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged firing as expected. The problem is when a external method tries to set cbxJobPosition. cbxJobPosition is databinded with a list of objects of type JobPosition: JobPositionID: 1, JobPositionName: Manager JobPositionID: 2, JobPositionName: Employee JobPositionID: 3, JobPositionName: Third party Here's the XAML: <ComboBox Cursor="Hand" DataContext="{Binding}" ItemsSource="{Binding}" FontSize="13" Name="cbxJobPosition" SelectedValuePath="JobPositionID" DisplayMemberPath="JobPositionName" SelectedIndex="0" Width="233" Height="23" SelectionChanged="cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged" /> On UserControl_Loaded method, it reads from database the list of jobs and try to set the specific job position "Third party": //calls cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged and passes the correct SelectedValue within cbxJobPosition.SelectedIndex = 3; //calls cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged and but won't pass the correct SelectedValue within cbxJobPosition.SelectedValue = "3"; As you can notice, when the processing is automatically redirected to cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged, the SelectedValue attribute will have different values for each statement above when you're debugging within cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged event. Does anyone know if this difference is expected, am I missing something or it could be a bug?

  • How to add icons to a PopUpMenuButton in Flex 3 using an XML file

    - by user168610
Hi, I've been looking at the following example for populating a PupUpMenuButton http://blog.flexexamples.com/2008/02/21/creating-a-custom-label-function-on-a-flex-popupmenubutton-control/ and would like to add icons to each menu. Ideally, I would specify the icon in the xml and assign it in a similar way to using labelFunction for the text. I'm pretty new to Flex and would appreciate some guidance with this. The only information I've found via google is to create a menu as follows (seems I can't include more than one url, but it is an example that creates a menu object using the following function): private function initMenu():void { menu = new Menu(); menu.dataProvider = xmlList; menu.labelField = "@label"; menu.iconField = "@icon"; } but I would really prefer to build it all from the XML file. Many thanks, Bryn

  • SendMessage vs. WndProc

    - by Poma
I'm trying to extend TextBox control to add watermarking functionality. The example I've found on CodeProject is using imported SendMessage function. [DllImport("user32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto, SetLastError = false)] static extern IntPtr SendMessage(IntPtr hWnd, uint Msg, uint wParam, [MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPWStr)] string lParam); void SetWatermark() { SendMessage(this.Handle, 0x1501, 0, "Sample"); } I'm wondering why not use protected WndProc instead void SetWatermark() { var m =new Message() { HWnd = this.Handle, Msg = 0x1501, WParam = (IntPtr)0, LParam = Marshal.StringToHGlobalUni("Sample") }; WndProc(ref m); } Both seem to work fine. Almost all examples I've seen on internet use SendMessagefunction. Why is that? Isn't WndProc function designed to replace SendMessage? P.S. I don't know right to convert string to IntPtr and found that Marshal.StringToHGlobalUni works ok. Is it right function to do this?

  • What is a proper way to pass a parameter to Set-Alias in powershell?

    - by Nick Gorbikoff
Hello. A little background: I use PowerShell on windows xp at work and I set a bunch of useful shortcuts in Microsoft.PowerShell_profile.ps1 in My Documents, trying to emulate Mac environment inspired by Ryan Bates's shortcuts I have things like: Set-Alias rsc Rails-Console function Rails-Console {Invoke-Expression "ruby script/console"} Which works just fine when in command prompt I say: rsc #it calls the proper command However this doesn't work properly Set-Alias rsg Rails-Generate function Rails-Generate {Invoke-Expression "ruby script/generate"} So when I do : rsg model User which is supposed to call ruby script/generate model User all it calls is ruby script/generate #Dumping my params So how would I properly modify my functions to take params I send to functions? Thank you!!

  • memory not freed in matlab?

    - by noam
I am running a script that animates a plot (simulation of a water flow). After a while, I kill the loop by doing ctrl-c. After doing this several times I get the error: ??? Error: Out of memory. And after I start receiving that error, every call to my script will generate it. Now, it happens before anything inside the function that I am calling is executed, i.e even if I add the line a=1 as the first line of the function I am calling, I still get the error and no printout, so the code inside the function doesn't even get executed. What could be causing this?

  • JQuery Tablesorter memorizeSortOrder widget

    - by echedey lorenzo
Hi, I've found this code in the internet: $.tablesorter.addWidget({ id: "memorizeSortOrder", format: function(table) { if (!table.config.widgetMemorizeSortOrder.isBinded) { // only bind if not already binded table.config.widgetMemorizeSortOrder.isBinded = true; $("thead th:visible",table).click(function() { var i = $("thead th:visible",table).index(this); $.get(table.config.widgetMemorizeSortOrder.url+i+'|'+table.config.headerList[i].order); }); } // fi } }); Found in: http://www.adspeed.org/2008/10/jquery-extend-tablesorter-plugin.html I would like to memorize the sorting of my ajax tables so on each update (table changes completely so there is no append) it keeps sorted the as it was. Question is.. how can use this? $("#tablediv").load( "table.php", null, function (responseText, textStatus, req) { $("#table").trigger("update"); } ); What changes do I need?

  • How to execute "eval" without writing "eval" in JavaScript

    - by Infinity
Here's the deal, we have a big JS library that we want to compress, but YUI compressor doesn't fully compress the code if it finds an "eval" statement, out of fear that it will break something else. That's great and all, but we know exactly what is getting eval'd, so we don't want it to get conservative because there's an eval statement in MooTools JSON.decode So basically the question is, is there any alternative (maybe creative) way of writing a expression that returns the eval function? I tried a few, but no dice: window['eval'](stuff); window['e'+'val'](stuff); // stuff runs in the global scope, we need local scope this['eval'](stuff); // this.eval is not a function (new Function( "with(this) { return " + '(' + stuff + ')' + "}"))() // global scope again Any ideas? Thx

  • JQuery Validation Plugin: Use Custom Ajax Method

    - by namtax
Hi Looking for some assistance with the Jquery form validation plugin if possible. I am validating the email field of my form on blur by making an ajax call to my database, which checks if the text in the email field is currently in the database. // Check email validity on Blur $('#sEmail').blur(function(){ // Grab Email From Form var itemValue = $('#sEmail').val(); // Serialise data for ajax processing var emailData = { sEmail: itemValue } // Do Ajax Call $.getJSON('http://localhost:8501/ems/trunk/www/cfcs/admin_user_service.cfc?method=getAdminUserEmail&returnFormat=json&queryformat=column', emailData, function(data){ if (data != false) { var errorMessage = 'This email address has already been registered'; } else { var errorMessage = 'Good' } }) }); What I would like to do, is encorporate this call into the rules of my JQuery Validation Plugin...e.g $("#setAdminUser").validate({ rules:{ sEmail: { required: function(){ // Replicate my on blur ajax email call here } }, messages:{ sEmail: { required: "this email already exists" } }); Wondering if there is anyway of achieving this? Many thanks

  • callback execution order in jQuery getJSON

    - by lau
I'm trying to implement a iGoogle like dashboard interface using widgets that get their content from other sites using JSONP calls. The problem is that if the first widget that calls the "$.ajax" takes 8 seconds to get the content back, it seems that the callbacks of the other widgets will only be called after the callback of the first widget gets executed. For the user experience, it would be better if the widgets could be displayed as soon as they get the content back from the remote sites, and not wait for those that were scheduled before to complete. Is there a way I can do that?

  • Using Jquery to get JSON objects from local file.

    - by ThoughtCrhyme
I'm trying to get a list of JSON objects (products) from a local file using Jquery and store all the objects in a single array called allItems. The file is co-located in the same directory as the code, and it's called "allItems.json". Here's how I'm doing it now: function getAllSupportedItems(){ var allItems = new Array(); $.getJSON("allItems.json", function(data){ $.each(data.items, function(item){ allItems.push(item); }); }); return allItems; } Based on this example: http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.getJSON/

  • Can a .Net 1.1 client call a .Net 2.0 web service? If so, how?

    - by Colin
We have finally upgraded our web services from .Net 1.1 to .Net 2.0/3.5. One of the clients that calls these web services is run as a windows service. It is probable that the server will be upgraded at customer sites and the windows service will not (at least for some time). Is it possible to massage my .Net 2.0 web services so they will correctly service the calls from the .Net 1.1 client? It doesn't happen in my test environment and I can't find any docs about it online. Thanks for your help, -colin-

  • Interface implementation Diferences

    - by carlos
What is the diference of using interfaces like ... I have an interface Public Interface IProDataSource Function read() As Integer End Interface Then a class Public Class DataSource : Implements IProDataSource Function read() As Integer Implements IProDataSource.read some code... End Function End Class Then I use this the next way ... but what is the difference? ... boths approaches are working ... Dim obj As IProDataSource = New DataSource obj.read() vs Dim datas as new Datasource datas.read() The only difference I have notice is that if the method is declare private it will be visible using the first approach only. Thanks for any comments !!!

  • awk and cat - How to ignore multiple lines?

    - by Filipe YaBa Polido
I need to extract Voip log from a D-Link router, so I've setup a little python script that executes a command in this router via telnet. My script does a "cat /var/log/calls.log" and returns the result, however... it also sends non-important stuff, like the BusyBox banner, etc... How can I ignore lines from 1 to 6 and the last 2 ? This is my current output: yaba@foobar:/stuff$ python calls.py BusyBox v1.00 (2009.04.09-11:17+0000) Built-in shell (msh) Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands. DVA-G3170i/PT # cat /var/call.log 1 ,1294620563,2 ,+351xxx080806 ,xxx530802 ,1 ,3 ,1 DVA-G3170i/PT # exit And I just need: 1 ,1294620563,2 ,+351xxx080806 ,xxx530802 ,1 ,3 ,1 (it can have multiple lines) So that I can save it to a CSV and later to a sql db. Thanks, and sorry my bad english.

  • Using separate model methods to manage transactions

    - by DCrystal
If i’ve got 2(or more) model methods which do (for example, in billing system) enrolling/withdrawing, and one controller’s method that calls 2(or more) of these model methods. Is it a good way(maybe, any suggestions how to do it better) to write/use 2model methods like these: public function start_transaction(){ $this->db->trans_start(); } public function end_transaction(){ $this->db->trans_complete(); } And call in controller’s method: public function smth(){ //something $this->model->start_transaction(); $this->model->enroll(); //something else $this->model->withdraw(); $this->model->end_transaction(); } Will transaction be reversed, if model's withdraw() method fails? Thanks.

  • Private members when extending a class using ExtJS

    - by Protron
I have done some research on the ExtJS forum regarding private methods and fields inside a extended class, and I couldn't find any real answer to this. And when I say an extended class I mean something like this: Ext.ux.MyExtendedClass = Ext.extend(Ext.util.Observable, { publicVar1: 'Variable visible from outside this class', constructor: function(config) { this.addEvents("fired"); this.listeners = config.listeners; }, // to show that I need to use the base class publicMethod1: function() { return 'Method which can be called form everywhere'; }, publicMethod2: function() { return this.publicMethod1() + ' and ' + this.publicVar1; } // to show how to access the members from inside another member }); The problem here is that everything is public. So, how do I add a new variable o method within the scope of MyExtendedClass that cannot be accessed from outside but can be access by the public methods?

  • How do I set the title of Terminal.app with the fish shell?

    - by lorin
I'm trying the fish shell in Mac OS X, intalled using MacPorts. I'd like to have the title of my Terminal window be my current directory. Currently, the title just says Terminal - fish - 80x24 According to the fish documentation, the default fish_title function should provide this behavior. It doesn't do the right thing in Terminal.app, although it does work with iTerm. Defining my own fish_title function doesn't fix the problem. Has anybody been able to get this to work?
