Hi,
I am using a third party library that provide some callbacks for a widget, but I'm not sure what the callback parameter objects are (no docs on them).
Is there a way to just dump all the attributes of an object in javascript, then print them using alert(), maybe? I just want to see what methods and attributes they contain,
Thanks
I'm writing a program in .NET that will need to utilize the statistical and data analysis functions of R or MATLAB. I have used R but am now contemplating moving to MATLAB since it has a .Net compiler while R can only interface via COM objects. Can anyone recommend going either way? I know MATLAB is infinitely more expensive than R (since R is free) but I'm thinking that may translate to an easier development cycle?
Hi. Am I the only one experiencing this issue? I'm using the html5media library and the test page they provide no longer plays in Firefox 3.6.3, though it plays on the latest Safari, Chrome, Opera, and IE. On FF 3.6.3, it shows the video and the audio with large X through them. I'm using this library on my site and noticed the issue as well. I'm not seeing any errors in the error console.
What are the internal features/aspects of C++/ VC++ and MFC that are used for embedded(semiconductor) projects by large IT companies. I ask this becuase I need to be prepared for one such poistion.
please reply.
I feel a little stupid for having to ask this… But I can't seem find it documented anywhere.
If I've got a Model with FileField, how can I stuff an uploaded FILE into that FileField?
For example, I'd like to do something like this:
class MyModel(Model):
file = FileField(...)
def handle_post(request, ...):
mymodel = MyModel.objects.get(...)
if request.FILES.get("newfile"):
mymodel.file = request.FILES["newfile"]
But that doesn't appear to work.
In Java, the wrapper class Integer has the static method parseInt() which is used like this: Integer.parseInt(). I thought only methods of static classes could be called like this (ie. Class.doMethod()). All non-static classes need objects to be instantiated to use their methods. I checked the API, and apparently Integer is declared as public final Integer - not static. Someone please help me understand this.
Im using the .NET framework 1.1 and Im hoping someone could help me implement a dynamic array of objects?
A watered-down example of the object I wish use is below.
Class CarObj
{
public string CarName;
public string CarYear;
}
Should I use an ArrayList or do you think it would be better to make a CarList class to implement an IList interface? Is there a performance benefit for one over another?
Is there a way to access the super object when extending objects using $.extend?
I would like to extend an object, override a method, but call the overridden superclass method in the subclass method.
I want to copy a large a ram-based file (located at /dev/shm direcotry) to local disk, is there some way for an efficient copy instead of read char one by one or create another piece memory? I can use only C language here. Is there anyway that I can put the memory file directly to disk? Thanks!
Hi,
I use C# 3.5 DotNet Framework and Linq.
I have 2 Views which have the same result-schema, but in linq that are different objects of course.
How can I convert List a to List b?
Hi,
Can any body provide me sample code or sample applications to retrieve list of items and list of objects from web service and to parse it.
Thanks in advance

I am currently designing a solution to a problem I have. I need to dynamically generate an XML file on the fly using Java objects, in the same way JAXB generates Java classes from XML files, however the opposite direction. Is there something out there already like this?
Alternatively, a way in which one could 'save' a state of java classes.
The goal I am working towards is a dynamically changing GUI, where a user can redesign their GUI in the same way you can with iGoogle.
hi,
Can I use IsInRole with customized objects??
Like I want to do some operations only for Employee while other only for Managers.
How can I achieve this?
Using sed or similar how would you extract lines from a file? If I wanted lines 1,5,1010,20503 from a file, how would I get these 4 lines?
What if I have a fairly large number of lines I need to extract?
If I had a file with 100 lines, each representing a line number that I wanted to extract from another file, how would I do that?
Hey.
I have a large amount of log data that I need to get some relevant information out of.
The syntax is:
WORD1 some text KEYWORD some text WORD2 WORD1 some text KEYWORD some text WORD2 WORD1 some text KEYWORD some text WORD2 WORD1 some text KEYWORD some text WORD2
Would it be possible to use regex to get a certain block out of it - so that when I queried some keyword it would return WORD1 some text THIS_KEYWORD some text WORD2
PS: There could be multiple instances of one keyword, it should return all of the blocks (preg_match_all, PREG_SET_ORDER?).
One thing I have in mind is, that datasets in Core Data (or lets say: managed objects) have no ID like known from other databases such as MySQL. Also, they're not in a specific guaranteed order.
What else makes Core Data much more "special" compared to working with a relational database like MySQL? Besides the whole object graph persisting and ORM stuff?
I have a display object container and I am trying to add a paste event to it. But the event is not being registered. The documentation at liveDocs mentions that classes that derive from Interactive objects can dispatch paste event but I dont understand why it wouldnt work for me.
My app is not an AIR app, could it be a reason ?
I'm building a little script that will connect to an IMAP account and grab the content of the email and also the attachments. It works well for the most part, but when a really large file comes in, it causes the script to time out. Is there any way that I can check the file size before trying to grab it? I think that would be the simplest solution. Otherwise, I may have to upgrade to a server that has more memory.
I'm in a situation now were I need to convert a datarow I've fetched from a query into a new instance of an object. I can do the obvious looping through columns and 'manually' assign these to properties of the object - or I can look into reflection such as this: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/11914/Using-Reflection-to-convert-DataRows-to-objects-or
What would I base the decision on? Just scalability??
I noticed in the main Django introductin they show a feature that maps python objects to the database. This doesn't strike me as being mutually exclusive with with development, is there any reason why this can't be used for non web apps? Is it easy to separate out?
I have fairly large map overlay that I am displaying over the google maps data but would still like to see the country/state/province lines through my overlay (so the lines would essentially be on top of my overlay).
As I understand, these lines are simply polygons drawn over the maps. Is there any way to access these? If so, how do I get them to show up through my overlay images?
What I want to do is pretty simple:
f=Foobar.objects.get(id=1)
foo='somefield'
bar='somevalue'
f.foo=bar
f.save()
This doesn't work as it tries to update the f object's 'foo' field, which of course doesn't exist. How can I accomplish this?
Hi,
I'm using ".align 16 \n\t" in some inline ARM assembly that is implementing some loops
to align it on a 16 byte boundary however gcc asm compiler is complaining that alignement
is too large
i want to implement -falign-loops=16 in asm for a particular loop
Thanks
Given the following method: (real method has a few more parameters, but the important ones are below...)
public string DoSomething(string formatter, params string[] values)
{
// Do something eventually involving a call to String.Format(formatter, values);
}
Is there a way to tell if my values array has enough objects in it to cover the formatter, so that I can throw an exception if there aren't (short of doing the string.Format; that isn't an option until the end due to some lambda conversions)?
