  I am getting the following error on one of our production servers. Not sure why it is working on the DEV server? Parser Error Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately. Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'TestMvcApplication.MvcApplication'. Source Error: Line 1: <%@ Application Codebehind="Global.asax.cs" Inherits="TestMvcApplication.MvcApplication" Language="C#" % Source File: /global.asax Line: 1 Not sure if anybody came across this error before and how it was solved, but I have reached the end. Any help would be appreciated. I also need to mention that this is the published code, so all is compiled. Can there be something wrong with my compiler settings?

• JSON parser for J2ME

  I need a basic JSON parser that works with J2ME / CLDC 1.1. A Google search returns tons of answers on this (some even on stackoverflow), but it appears that all point to libraries and solutions that are no longer available (for example, lots point to an implementation that is supposed to be on the json.org site, but at least I can't find anything that isn't J2SE only there). My best hope so far is the source linked here: https://meapplicationdevelopers.dev.java.net/mobileajax.html, but from that one I can't even find a straight forward way to download the code. Given the mature state of Java in all other aspects, surely there must be somewhere I can get a pre-compiled JAR to use for parsing JSON from J2ME?

• Shell extension installation not recognized by Windows 7 64-bit shell

  I have a Copy Hook Handler shell extension that I'm trying to install on Windows 7 64-bit. The shell extension DLL is compiled in two separate versions for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. The DLL implements DLLRegisterServer which adds the necessary registry entries. After adding the registry entries, it calls the following line of code to nofity the Windows shell: SHChangeNotify(SHCNE_ASSOCCHANGED, SHCNF_IDLIST, NULL, NULL); Everything works great on Windows7 32-bit. The shell recognizes the extension immediately. On 64-bit, the shell extension is only recognized after the shell is restarted. Is there anything I can do to cause the extension to be recognized without restarting the 64-bit shell?

No errors so far when installing PIL or when I compiled(?) the jpeg and freetype libraries so far. I'm on django 1.1.1, python 2.6.2.

• QuickReport throws "There Is No Default Printer Currently Selected" Exception

  I have created a Delphi Service which prints TQuickReports. Everything works fine if compiled and run as a Windows Application. But when converted to operate as a service trying to create a form containing a TQuickRep component throws the exception. This service runs fine on many other boxes but not this one in particular. Here are some details: Using QuickReport version 4.07 Box is a Windows Server 2008 operating system. Using Delphi 2007 Printer.Printers.Count is returning a positive value. In fact I can list out all of the printers. I have tried running the service both using Local System Account and Logged on as an Admin.

• Deselect dates in Web Calendar c#

  Hello, I'm trying to select and de-select dates on a C# Web Calendar control. The problem I have is that I can select or deselect dates except when there is only a single date selected. Clicking on it does not trigger the selection changed event, so Ineed to do something on the dayrender event but I'm not sure what or how. Any ideas? • windbg dv cmd fail - Private symbols (symbols.pri) are required for locals

  i have a C++ application compiled with VS 2008 with pdb file enabled. After i tried to use dv command to display local vars, it shows the following message: Unable to enumerate locals, HRESULT0x80004005 Private symbols (symbols.pri) are required for locals. Type ".hh dbgerr005" for details. Note that: i've run the "dv" command on the correct frame which has the symbol file. i can use "dt" command successfully. i've included the symbol path and the pdb file has been loaded successfully as following: start end module name 00400000 0043f000 helloworld (private pdb symbols) c:\test... Does anyone know the cause? Is there any configuration i missed to enable local var watch? Or VS 2008 pdb is not supported by windbg (i'm using the latest windbg version)?

• Is it safe to delete the "ipch" folder - Precompiled headers?

  Hello, I was looking through the folder for an application I am working on and noticed the "ipch" folder, for my solution which has two small projects it weighs in at about 90mb+ in size. I have found an article discussing the use for the files and was wondering if they were safe to delete? It's for an assignment hand in and I would like to keep the electronic hand in as small as possible. If I were to delete the folder will the application remain in a safe and stable state? • Building cURL & libcurl with Visual Studio 2010

  With the help of question #197444, I have managed to build cURL & libcurl from source on Windows from within the Visual Studio 2010 IDE, OpenSSL 1.0.0, and zlib 1.2.5. The problem I see is that at the moment, if I run the resulting curl.exe with the argument -V, then the version that it report is curl 7.20.1 (i386-pc-win32) libcurl/7.20.1 OpenSSL/0.9.8d zlib/1.2.3 Protocols: dict file ftp ftps http https imap imaps ldap pop3 pop3s rtsp smtp smtps telnet tftp Features: AsynchDNS Largefile NTLM SSL libz Note the versions reported for both OpenSSL & zlib doesn't match if what I actually used. Any idea on how to fix this? p.s. Is there a clear list of optional components that can be compiled into libcurl and what options/preprocessor directive to use? (e.g. SSPI, libidn, ...?)

• OAuth with Google Reader API using Objective C

  I'm using the gdata OAuth controllers to get an OAuth token and then signing my requests as instructed. [auth authorizeRequest:myNSURLMutableRequest] It works great for GET requests but POSTs are failing with 401 errors. I knew I wouldn't be able to remain blissfully ignorant of the OAuth magic. The Google Reader API requires parameters in the POST body. OAuth requires those parameters to be encoded in the signature like they were on the query string. It doesn't appear the gdata library does this. I tried hacking it in the same way it handles the query string but no luck. This is so difficult to debug as all I get is a 401 from the Google black box and I'm left to guess. I really want to use OAuth so I don't have to collect login credentials from my users but I'm about to scrap it and go with the simpler cookie based authentication that is more mature. It's possible I'm completely wrong about the reason it's failing. This is my best guess. Any suggestions for getting gdata to work or maybe an alternative iphone friendly OAuth library?

• Common Table Expressions slow when using a table variable

  I have been experimenting with the following (simplified) CTE. When using a table variable () the query runs for minutes before I cancel it. Any of the other commented out methods return in less than a second. If I replace the whole WHERE clause with an INNER JOIN it is fast as well. Any ideas why using a table variable would run so slowly? FWIW: The database contains 2.5 million records and the inner query returns 2 records. • crystal reports : cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report

  I've recently come across the following error in one of my crystal reports following an accounting system update. Group #1: ? - A : This group section cannot be printed because its condition field is nonexistent or invalid. Format the section to choose another condition field. I've verified every database field being used to ensure it still exists for consistency and checked the formulas for that section. No dice. So to hopefully fix the problem, i remove the section using the Section expert. I run the same database checks. It then complains with the same error for Group #5. So i remove that as well. now I have a new and unusual error when i attempt to run 'Show Query'. the error is: "Cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report" I have tried to logon/logoff the database and verify database. No complaints until i try to run, show query. When I attempt to run the report, it also throws the same error. any ideas? Am I approaching this incorrectly? this is done in crystal reports 10. note: this report is run with the sql sa user to eliminate any permission issues.

• AVR sbi command - Error: number must be positive and less than 32

  I've spent a good while getting my AVR development system set up with the full GCC tool chain (everything is the most recent current stable version) and I have solved most issues with it but one. This following code gives me an error which I just don't get. The AVR assembly manual states that the sbi instruction can accept 0-7 as a constant expression but it still errors out on me. • Google Datastore w/ JDO: Access Times?

  I'm hitting what appears (to me) strange behavior when I pull data from the google datastore over JDO. In particular, the query executes quickly (say 100 ms), but finding the size of the resulting List< takes about one second! Indeed, whatever operation I try to perform on the resulting list takes about a second. Has anybody seen this behavior? Is it expected? Unusual? Any way around it? • jQuery Autocomplete - Multicolumn and Return Data rather than Value

  I am currently using the DevBridge jQuery Autocomplete plugin - it works fine as is, however I would like to display the returned information in a multi-column view, but yet when clicked only return the first value. • Problem with cvCreateVideoWriter in OpenCv. Again )

  I know, that the issue had been widely discussed before, but after 5 hours of inefficient googling I guess I deserve to ask :) By the way, all such problems concerned earlier versions of OpenCV, so.. I've compiled fresh OpenCV 2.1. from source under Ubuntu 9.10. It works fine except of cvCreateVideoWriter, which returns null to the following request: CvVideoWriter *writer = cvCreateVideoWriter("video.avi", CV_FOURCC('M','J','P','G'), fps, size, 0); I've walked through the OpenCv folders - it even seems to have ffmpeg inside. I've also installed it on the system to make sure. I've changed CV_FOURCC('M','J','P','G') to -1 - all worthless. I would appreciate your help soo much! P.S. I've also explored some new way for writing videos here: http://opencv.willowgarage.com/documentation/cpp/reading_and_writing_images_and_video.html#videowriter But it fails to work as well, showing the mistake: error: no match for ‘operator>>’ in ‘writer >> frame’ My code is here: http://pastie.org/984734

• Why doesn't Data Driven Subscription in SSRS 2005 like my Stored Procedure?

  I'm trying to define a Data Driven Subscription for a report in SSRS 2005. In Step 3 of the set up you're asked for: " a command or query that returns a list of recipients and optionally returns fields used to vary delivery settings and report parameter values for each recipient" This I have written and it returns the data without a hitch. I press next and it rolls onto the next screen in the set up which has all the variables to set for the DDS and in each case it has an option to "Select Value From Database" I select this radio button and press the drop down. No fields are available to me. Now the only way I could vary the number of parameters returned by the SP was to have the SP write the SQL to an nvarchar variable and then at the end execute the variable as sql. I have tested this in the Management Studio and it returns the expected fields. I even named them after the fields in SSRS but the thing won't put the field names into the dropdowns. I've even taken the query body out of the Stored Proc, verified it in SSRS and then tried that. It doesn't work either. Can anyone shed any light into what I'm doing wrong?

  I've seen example com.example.android.apis.view.List11 from ApiDemos. In that example, each row takes the view android.R.simple_list_item_multiple_choice. Each such view has a TextView and a CheckBox. Now I want each view to have 2 TextView's and 1 CheckBox, somewhat similar to the List3 example. • Enable PDO for PHP5 on CentOS5 where PHP is configured as '--disable-pdo'

  Hi I have been given access to a CentOS5 machine by my client for their new site which uses Zend Framework. phpinfo() states in Configure Command that PDO is disabled ('--disable-pdo'). How can enable it? Do I need to recompile PHP5 to enable it? I have tried adding 'extension=pdo.so' in php.ini and restarting Apache, but this didn't work. It would also be nice to understand what '--disable-pdo' actaully means, does it mean it's not compiled into PHP or does it mean its just not enabled? Thanks for your time

Since it's a non-fatal error , there is no crash and all seems to works fine..but i don't like the error. If i close the cursor at the end of this code..the listview stay's empty. if i close the cursor in onStop , i get the same error. • Load ActiveX DLL in Internet Explorer with elevated privileges

  I have an ActiveX control that I'm loading with JavaScript in Internet Explorer. It needs to run as medium integrity under UAC in Vista and Win7. This is written in C/C++, compiled in Visual Studio. One way to elevate privileges is to create a broker process that can request a medium integrity level. However, for this project, this is not a practical solution. I really need the ActiveX control itself to run elevated. My question is: what's the easiest way to do this? Can I change the build options on the project to be an exe, and use the COM interprocess connect system to automatically handle the communications, or do I need to be more sophisticated? Do I need to do anything complicated like manually call CreateProcess and make some kind of broker, or can it just work as an ActiveX exe that elevates itself?
