    How can i setup different power profile settings? For example i want to set low screen brightness when i am on battery power and full brightness when i am not. From "power settings" i can setup brightness but it is persistent no matter what power i use. Is there any software that i can use to prolong my battery power when i use ubuntu? I can use my laptop at least 1 more hour when i am using windows....

Members will set their schedules and available hours. Buyers can select one member, and book when they want to visit the member and reserve time online. Lets say our WP membership site has thousands of members each offering one service. We have 25 categories. On their profile page is his appointment or booking calendar, along with his personally created and uploaded (into S3) profile video. Website visitors should be able to easily book hours & days as desired. For now all members have a free membership. WE earn $ by bringing customers to the registered members and collecting one dollar for our service. Therefore, we need an affordable script and one that handles our members needs. We already have a paid copy of Jrox. What are those needs?   • Minecraft running slow after 13.10 upgrade

    What to took for when Minecraft is running slow (~10 FPS) after a simple Ubuntu upgrade (from 13.04 to 13.10) without any manual change in the hardware/software graphic configuration and in the Minecraft configuration? Before the upgrade, it was running very well everytime (~60 FPS constantly).     Using software RAID only Is it possible to start with a 2TB disk full of data and safely add it to a RAID 1 array? Is it then possible to add a third disk and migrate the RAID 1 array into a RAID 5 array? OR Is it possible to start with a 2 disk degraded RAID 5 array and then add the third disk later to create a health RAID 5 array? Backstory: I wish to migrate from a 2 disk NAS (RAID 1) to a 3 disk NAS and only purchase one new disk in doing so

Installing the program works fine, as soon as I go to run it however I get the message Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime. Runtime Error I have installed the above package using wine tricks, but still nothing. Have goggled to try and find if I am missing Dependencies or anything obvious, but after that I am stuck.     The ongoing chaos over Government Agency’s snooping has ignited a heated debate on privacy of personal data and its use by government and/or other institutions. It has created a feeling of disapproval and distrust among users. This incident proves to be a lesson for companies that are looking to leverage their business using a data driven approach. According to analysts, the goal of gathering personal information should be to deliver benefits to both the parties – the user as well as the data collector(government or business). Using data the right way is crucial, and companies need to deploy the right software applications and systems to ensure that their efforts are well-directed. However, there are various issues plaguing analysts regarding available software, which are highlighted below. According to a InformationWeek 2013 Survey of Analytics, Business Intelligence and Information Management where 541 business technology professionals contributed as respondents, it was discovered that the biggest concern was deemed to be the scarcity of expertise and high costs associated with the same. This concern was voiced by as many as 38% of the participants.     I am trying to install Hadoop in Ubuntu 12.04 version. Following the instructions from http://michael-noll.com/tutorials/running-hadoop-on-ubuntu-linux-single-node-cluster/, I installed java-6-openjdk from Ubuntu software-center. I have set java_home in .bashrc. Also set java_home in Hadoop conf/env.sh. While formatting the namenode, I am getting the following error: usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/bin/java no such file or directory. Thank you. But it's a 64bit OS.
