    I am having an issue on OS X 10.7.5 as I used to use MAMP but for .htaccess issues I am now using my own compiled local server from a long time ago, the problem is i forgot the root password for mysql. I have tried updating the password through terminal using mysql -u root, but I get this error message - ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) Thanks Ric

I am trying to use this one http://kin.klever.net/libopkele/requirements but it stops the configure with this message: checking for OPENSSL... configure: error: no openssl library found. get one from http://www.openssl.org/ but my debian has openssl installed and libssl-dev libssl installed... any help please?   • Getting 404 when attempting to POST file to Google Cloud Storage from service account

    I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the proper syntax & formatting for a service account to send a POST Object to bucket request? I'm attempting it programmatically using the HttpComponents library. I manage to get a token from my GoogleCredential, but every time I construct the POST request, I get: HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><Error><Code>AccessDenied</Code><Message>Access denied.</Message><Detailsbucket-name</Details></Error The Google documentation that describes the request methods, mentions posting using html forms, but I'm hoping that wasn't suggesting the ONLY way to get the job done. I know that HttpComponents has a way to explicitly create form data by using UrlEncodedFormEntity, but it doesn't support multipart data. Which is why I went with using the MultipartEntity class. I've been contemplating writing a simple "event log" that takes a paramater list and stores event messages in a log file, trouble is, I forsee this file growing to be rather large (assume 1M entries or more) the question is, how can I implement this system without pulling teeth, I know that SQL would be a possible way to go. XML would be ideal but not really practical for scaleability if i'm not going nuts.     Hi all, Trying to build the OCaml Win32 API binaries for OCaml 3.11.0 on Win 7 and I consistently get a message when I try nmake dynamic: 'cannot open input file "ocamlrun.lib"'. My google skills seem to be failing me--is there something I need to do to get this .lib file? It doesn't seem to be part of the libraries which are included in the OCaml binary distribution for Windows. Can anyone give me a pointer in the right direction?

  • MVC Entity Framework: Cannot open user default database. Login failed.

    This type of stuff drives me nuts. I'm having trouble finding the exact issue that I'm having, maybe I just don't know the terminology. Anyway, I had a working website using MVC and Entity Framework, but then I coded an error in a partial view page (ascx). Then all of a sudden I started to get this message. Cannot open user default database. Login failed. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' I've found plenty of suggestions about opening SQL Server Management Studio, Double Click on Security, Double Click on Logins, Double click on NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM and then double click on User Mapping. In this view I'm suppose to check the box for my database so that this user is mapped to this login. However, since I created my database in Visio Studio 2008 as part of my solution, it doesn't show up to allow me to click on it. So what do I do now? What drives me nuts is that everything was working fine. I was using my computer name to access the website and everything was working fine until the coding error. I've fix the error but still getting the error. I should also mention that this error started yesterday too around the same time but later cleared itself up. If I use localhost to access the site, it works just fine. IIS7 configuration for my website: Application Pool = DefaultAppPool Physical Path Credentials Logon = ClearText With in connection strings. I do see the one for my database in this solution. Entry Type is local metadata=res://*/Models.DataModel.csdl|res://*/Models.DataModel.ssdl|res://*/Models.DataModel.msl; provider=System.Data.SqlClient; provider connection string="Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\FFBall.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True;MultipleActiveResultSets=True" And somewhere I remember changing the identity from Network Service to LocalSystem. Because when I first stared I was getting this same message, but I changed this value and it started working. I saw that suggested somewhere too but I do not recall. Wait I remember now, I believe in IIS7, under Application Pools, DefaultAppPool identity is set to LocalSystem. Additional things I've tried. Restart the computer Recycle the application pool. Antivirus isn't running. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    I have a .Net web application that for performance issues gets all the static data (CSS, Images, JS) from an external server that is on different location and different hosting company. I want to enable SSL on my site without the users getting a message: "Page contains both secure and insecure elements" Does this means I’ll have to get two SSL Certificates one for each server? If I want the users to continue getting the static content from the external server what other options do I have? Thanks.

    I'm running into the Windows Vista/7 Program Compatibility Assistant problem described here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1069135/this-program-might-not-have-installed-correctly-message-in-windows-7-rc The solution (backed-up by similar questions elsewhere, and MSDN), is apparently to add a 'compatibility' section to setup.exe's manifest. InstallShield 10 SP1 does this automatically, but unfortunately I only have InstallShield 2009. How would I go about editing the manifest? Is there a way to do this programmatically, so I can integrate it into my build?
