  • How do you pause before fading an element out using jQuery?

    I would like to flash a success message on my page. I am using the jQuery fadeOut method to fade and then remove the element. I can increase the duration to make it last longer, however this looks strange. What I would like to happen is have the element be displayed for five seconds, then fade quickly, and finally be removed. How can you animate this using jQuery?

    If I am using a block cipher such as AES which has a block size of 128 bits, what do I do if my data is not an even multiple of 128 bits? I am working with packets of data and do not want to change the size of my packet when encrypting it, yet my data is not an even multiple of 128? Does the AES block cipher allow handling of a final block that is short without changing the size of my message once encrypted?

I know I had the login info correct, and I also know that for nearly any exception in the login process, the Login control displays the standard error message, "Your login failed", so I assume something is wrong in the code/config.     I have and NSMutableArray and I want to replace it with another, but if I try to do it like this... firstArray = secondArray; ...then it seems to erase the entire firstArray and I get this error message.. Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '*** -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (0) beyond bounds (0)' ...and the bounds should be (6) not (0). Is there a correct way to replace the array? PS: I already checked the secondArray and it functions fine.

    I know it's possible to deploy earlier versions of the .NET framework using AD deployment, for example: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc160717.aspx. How do it do this for .NET 4? I tried unpacking the standalone .NET 4 installer and deploying the netfx_Extended_x86.msi package. This didn't work. After a reboot the event log shows that it tried but it failed to install with a message saying to run setup.exe.

Does the rescue in any way 'interrupt' the rollback process? I'm assuming rails automatically does a rollback. When does it happen? Has it already happened by the time I get in the rescue clause?     I'm trying to implement printing a range of pages in c# While printing, the .net framework throws up a message box that says "Page # of document". This starts at 1, and counts up to the number of pages printed. If I'm printing pages 10-11, I want that count to start at 10, not 1. Is there a way to set the starting value? The logical thing would be if it started at PrinterSettings.FromPage, but it ignores that value.
