    Hi there, I am working on a windows installer project. And now I only want the software only can be installed on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 RC system, I tried to use this: <Condition Message='Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 is required'>(VersionNT = 600 AND ServicePackLevel = 1) OR VersionNT = 601 </Condition> but it can still be installed on Windows Vista.     Hi everyone, I've playing around with linux and noticed that for some mysterious reason commands like '/bin/sh ' just will not work. Each time I'm trying to start a process it yields 'cannot execute binary file' error message. m@sanctuary:~$ sh sed /bin/sed: /bin/sed: cannot execute binary file When I first launch sh and try to execute sed, it succeeds. I'm starting to loose my wits. It would be just great, if somebody could help me. Thank you.

  • Not able to create a datasource registration with WAMP MysQL 5.0 in DBArtisan

    I try in a test version of DBArtisan to set up a datasource and register both servere as localhost, database to use, my username and password, but, when testing the connection, I get message that connection failed. Hooking up from eg. Delphi and other utilities run nicely. But not DBArtisan, Is MySQL 5.0 not supported yet ?? Or is it WAMP that is the culprit naming the service wampmysqld insted of just mysqld ??

    I have set up Synergy on Unix systems with no problems, however when I set up a Synergy server on a Windows Server 2003 box using I get an error message that the mouse cursor is locked when trying to move to the client system. I use a Microsoft Natural keyboard in case that matters (seems Scroll Lock might be involved). Does anyone have experience with using Synergy on Windows systems that have reported mouse screen locking in the log when unable to mouse over to a client system?

    in OO programming, is there some conceptual pattern, ideas, about handling multiple errors? for example, i have a method that performs some checks and should return an error message for each error found ['name is too short', 'name contains invalid unicode sequences', 'name is too long'] now, should i use an array of exceptions (not thrown exceptions)? or something like this is better: class MyExceptionList extends Exception{ public Void addException(Exception e){} public Array getExceptions(){} } any theory behind this argument will be appreciated!     When I attempt to connect to SQL server using enterprise manager I get the strange message: "SQL Server is not known to be running. Are you sure you want to connect?" What is it trying to tell me? Is there some special caution required in trying to connect to a server that is not known to be running? If so, how do I find out if a server is running before trying to connect to it, and why doesn't enterprise manager provide this service?
