  • Why i get everytime the error-message that i've already sent the headers

    - by mikep
    Hey, i've another question about web-programming. I programmed a login script, but everytime when i try to login it says that i've send the header informations already. Here are the 2 files: <?php if($_GET['logout'] == 1) { setcookie('authorized', 1, time()-3600); } ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>Login - photoAdminSite</title> </head> <style type="text/css"> body { text-align: center; font-family: helvetica; } #loginForm { padding: 1em; background: #e3e3e3; width: 260px; margin: 3em auto 0; text-align: left; } </style> <body> <div id="loginForm"> <form method="post" action="confirm_login_credentials.php"> <h2>LOGIN</h2> <p>Username: <input type="text" name="username" /></p> <p>Password: <input type="password" name="password" /></p> <p><input type="submit" value="Login" name="submit" /></p> </form> </div> </body> </html> <?php $username = $_POST['username']; $password = $_POST['password']; require 'database.php'; $q = "SELECT id FROM users_photoadminsite WHERE user_name = '$username' AND password = '$password'"; $result = $mysqli->query($q) or die(mysqli_error()); if (mysqli_num_rows($result) == 1) { setcookie('authorized', 1, 0); header("Location: index.php"); } else { header("Location: login.php"); } ?> i would be really happy about some helpful answers.

  • Does this incorporate JavaScript closures?

    - by alex
    In trying to learn JavaScript closures, I've confused myself a bit. From what I've gathered over the web, a closure is... Declaring a function within another function, and that inner function has access to its parent function's variables, even after that parent function has returned. Here is a small sample of script from a recent project. It allows text in a div to be scrolled up and down by buttons. var pageScroll = (function() { var $page, $next, $prev, canScroll = true, textHeight, scrollHeight; var init = function() { $page = $('#secondary-page'); // reset text $page.scrollTop(0); textHeight = $page.outerHeight(); scrollHeight = $page.attr('scrollHeight'); if (textHeight === scrollHeight) { // not enough text to scroll return false; }; $page.after('<div id="page-controls"><button id="page-prev">prev</button><button id="page-next">next</button></div>'); $next = $('#page-next'); $prev = $('#page-prev'); $prev.hide(); $next.click(scrollDown); $prev.click(scrollUp); }; var scrollDown = function() { if ( ! canScroll) return; canScroll = false; var scrollTop = $page.scrollTop(); $prev.fadeIn(500); if (scrollTop == textHeight) { // can we scroll any lower? $next.fadeOut(500); } $page.animate({ scrollTop: '+=' + textHeight + 'px'}, 500, function() { canScroll = true; }); }; var scrollUp = function() { $next.fadeIn(500); $prev.fadeOut(500); $page.animate({ scrollTop: 0}, 500); }; $(document).ready(init); }()); Does this example use closures? I know it has functions within functions, but is there a case where the outer variables being preserved is being used? Am I using them without knowing it? Thanks Update Would this make a closure if I placed this beneath the $(document).ready(init); statement? return { scrollDown: scrollDown }; Could it then be, if I wanted to make the text scroll down from anywhere else in JavaScript, I could do pageScroll.scrollDown(); I'm going to have a play around on http://www.jsbin.com and report back

  • How to record user interaction in Flash app?

    - by Trung Vu
    I am looking for a way to capture the user interactions with a text input control in Flash over a period of time (not a screen cast)? For example: If the user enter some text, then delete, then enter something, I would be able to store that interaction as it happens and replay that later. Any help would be extremely useful Thanks

  • WPF multibound textblock not updating

    - by Superstringcheese
    I want to create a program which calculates how long it will take to repeat a process a certain number of times. I've scaled this down a lot for this example. So, I have some textboxes which are bound to properties in a class: Count: <TextBox x:Name="txtCount" Text="{Binding Count, Mode=TwoWay}" Width="50"/> Days: <TextBox x:Name="txtDays" Text="{Binding Days, Mode=TwoWay}" Width="50"/> and a textblock which is multibound like so: <TextBlock x:Name="tbkTotal"> <TextBlock.Text> <MultiBinding StringFormat="Days: {0}, Count: {1}"> <Binding Path="Days" /> /* This isn't updating */ <Binding Path="Count" /> </MultiBinding> </TextBlock.Text> </TextBlock> My DataContext is set in the Window1.xaml.cs file. public Window1() { InitializeComponent(); Sample sample = new Sample(); this.DataContext = sample; } I can update the multibound textblock with the Count property just fine, but the Days property always shows 0, even though the Days input accurately reflects changes. I believe that this is because my accessors are different for Days - namely, the Set method. This class is in a different file. public class Sample : INotifyPropertyChanged { private int _count; private TimeSpan _span; public int Count { get { return _count; } set { _count = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("Count"); /* Doesn't seem to be needed, actually */ } } public TimeSpan Span { get { return _span; } } /* The idea is to provide a property for Days, Hours, Minutes, etc. as conveniences to the inputter */ public double Days { get { return _span.Days; } set { TimeSpan ts = new TimeSpan(); double val = value > 0 ? value : 0; ts = TimeSpan.FromDays(val); _span.Add(ts); NotifyPropertyChanged("Span"); /* Here I can only get it to work if I notify that Span has changed - doesn't seem to be aware that the value behind Days has changed. */ } } private void NotifyPropertyChanged(string property) { if (null != this.PropertyChanged) { PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(property)); } } public Sample() { _count = 0; _span = new TimeSpan(); } public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; }

  • Splitting tables by field to optimize MySQL?

    - by AK
    Do splitting fields into multiple tables ever yield faster queries? Consider the following two scenarios: Table1 ----------- int PersonID text Value1 float Value2 or Table1 ----------- int PersonID text Value1 Table2 ----------- int PersonID float Value2 If Value1 and Value2 are always being displayed together, I imagine Table1 is always faster because the second schema would require two SELECT statements. But are there any situations where you would choose the second? If the number of records were expected to be really large?

    - by bEtTy Barnes
    hello I've got problem with my combobox. It's not saving the selected value in Edit page. Here what I'm working with: private function inputCAR(){ $html = ""; $selectedId = $this->CAR; //$html .= '<option value="Roadmap Accelerator - Core">Roadmap Accelerator - Core</option>'; //$html .= '<option value="Roadmap Accelerator - Optional Core">Roadmap Accelerator - Optional Core</option>'; //$html .= '<option value="Regulatory">Regulatory</option>'; //$html .= '<option value="Mission Critical">Mission Critical</option>'; //$html .= '<option value="Various CARs/Types">Various CARs/types</option>'; $selection = array( "Roadmap Accelerator - Core", "Roadmap Accelerator - Optional Core", "Regulatory", "Mission Critical", "Various CARs/types" ); $html .= '<label for="car">CAR Type</label>'; $html .= HTML::selectStart("car"); foreach($selection as $value){ $text = $value; $html .= HTML::option($value, $text, $selectedId == $value ? true : false); } $html .= HTML::selectEnd(); return $html; } My option function: public static function option($value, $text, $isSelected=false) { $html = '<option value="' . $value .   • Using Java Script to pass data

    - by Doodle
    How can I pass data from client to server? I have a very simple text editor created on a site and every few minutes or so I would like to send the information that has been typed in back to the server as a text file. I am trying to create an effect similar to the live type of googleWave. Speed and efficiency isn't all that important at the moment. A quick and dirty way would be suffice.

  • Placeholder for UITextView

    - by Gill Bates
    Anyone ever implements something in UITextView that stopping it from receiving future inputs when the text length is smaller than certain threshold? I plan to implement a textview like we have in the mail composer interface. We have a placeholder "Subject" there, and the cursor starts after. Placeholder in UITextView Inspired from this question, I wonder if there are some methods which could be used to stop changing the text in the UITextView once the cursor is moving back to the placeholder string. Any ideas?

  • Supersized image captions - render outside of JavaScript

    - by Sol
    I am using the jQuery supersized script for a full screen slideshow (not the WordPress plugin as this didn't give me enough control). However, one issue that I am trying to tackle is how to render the image caption text outside of the javascript slides[ ] call - and instead, render them within the page div - to improve SEO on the page. My code works fine right now, images and the caption text are correctly displaying, but looking at the source code, there is very little text outside of the javascript (which is bad for SEO), so I would just like to improve it, if possible. I haven't been able to find any other topic on this subject and so far, I've been unsuccessful at improving on the current code, which is as follows; <!-- Supersized 3.2.7 - By Sam Dunn / One Mighty Roar (www.onemightyroar.com) Released under MIT License / GPL License --> <script type="text/javascript"> var slides=[]; <?php $my_query = new WP_Query ( array( 'post_status' => 'publish', 'post_type' => 'featured', //'numberposts' => 5, 'orderby' => 'menu_order', 'order' => 'ASC', 'showposts' => 50 )); while( $my_query->have_posts() ) : $my_query->the_post(); $slink = get_post_meta($post->ID,'FS_link',true); ?> slides.push({image : '<?php echo get_image_path(get_post_meta($post->ID, 'FS_slideimage_src', true)); ?>', title : '<div class="slidecaptioninside"><h1><?php echo the_title(); ?></h1><p><?php echo strip_tags(get_post_meta($post->ID, 'FS_fitemcaption', true)); ?>...<a href="<?php echo $slink;?>">find out more</a></p></div>', url : '<?php echo $slink;?>'}); <?php endwhile; ?> // start supersized JS $j = jQuery.noConflict(); $j(window).load(function() { $j.supersized({ //Functionality slideshow: 1, // ..... additional functions go here... slide_captions : 1, //Slide caption (Pull from "title" in slides array) slides : slides, slide_links : 'blank', progress_bar : 1, mouse_scrub: 1 }); }); </script> <div id="slidecontainer"> <div id="slidecaption"></div> <!--Thumbnail Navigation--> <div id="prevthumb"></div> <div id="nextthumb"></div> <!--additional tray divs here--> </div><!--slidecontainer--> I have tried to get Supersized to output the content into a parent div [div id="supersized"] using $j('#supersized').supersized({ but this doesn't appear to work. Has anyone managed to do this differently to improve page SEO?
