  • How to export opened tabs in Chrome?

    Are there any extensions for Chrome that allow me to export all currently opened tabs as a text file, containing all the URLs of those tabs? I don't necessarily need it to be a text file if there is another way that you can think of. My goal is to share the URLs with someone via email. I'm currently using Session Manager to save my open tabs but it has no functionality to export them as described above.

  • Chrome keeps chrashing a short while after startup

    Hi, whenever I turn on Chrome, it crashes after a very short while (less than a minute). It started happening about a week ago for no apparent reason. I didn't install any new software, update or uninstall anything (as far as I remember), it just crashes. It doesn't matter wether I even open any page or not, Chrome just dies, period. Doesn't anybody have an idea why might that be? I'm running on Windows Vista Home Basic.

    I've VirtualBox on a Windows 7 PC and created a virtual machine for Windows XP. Here is what I want to do: Run VirtualBox Power on guest OS (named "Windows XP") Open Winword in guest OS I want to accomplish these 3 steps at once (by using a batch file for example). Any help would be appreciated.   • Reverse proxy a directory through IIS 6 with HTTPS

    I have an asp.net based website running on IIS 6 that needs to incorporate a java application running on the same server on a different port. The requests will be coming in via https and I need to invisibly (preserving the https session) proxy domain.com/ over to domain.com:8080/. Does IIS have a built-in mechanism for doing this? If not, are there any reliable free/open source ISAPI extensions that allow it? Thanks in advance

  • montoring service to detect when email is not received

    I would like to monitor an email server - not whether the port is open and receiving, but rather that a "canary" message sent every so often actually arrives somewhere else. I have had a problem with a server getting firewalled off and no one noticing that cron jobs are not coming from the machine for a few weeks. Of course, the machine itself cannot send out a notification if it is having problems, so this requires an outside service. Any ideas?

    I tried to install an OpenVPN access server in Centos 6 on a linode VPS. The installation error occours when adding the user "openvpn". However, the installation is okay for my ubuntu 11.10 distro in another VPS. The error message is "useradd: canot open /etc/passwd" The detail of My "/etc/passwd" file: "-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1194 Oct 9 00:33 /etc/passwd" So how can I add the user "openvpn" to setup the VPN service?     What options are available to load balance web service traffic on Linux with the ability to add or remove servers from the server pool without restarting the load balancer? This post: http://serverfault.com/questions/71437/mod-proxy-change-without-restart looks like a very promising way to switch between two servers, but I don't know enough about mod_proxy and mod_rewrite to understand how/if I can use an external file to specify the BalancerMember entries for a section. Are there other open source load balancers that support reconfiguration without restart?

  • How to convert a really big HTML file to PDF in Windows

    We have a few really large HTML files (60-100 MB) that we cannot convert to PDF with any reliability. Adobe Acrobat 9 crashes - hits the 2GB limit for applications. Open Office converts, but removes some of the anchors (). ActivePDF webgrabber crashes. Is using a 64 bit situation an option for this type of thing? I see a bunch of options out there, but can they do better than Adobe Acrobat 9 itself?

  • Windows 7 on Laptop: Show 3 power Profiles instead of just 2

    The only thing I miss from Vista on W7 is that, you can click the batery icon and select one of three power profiles without having to open the Energy option Window. Can I archieve this on W7 Without having to install a third party tool? I have tried one, but with so many bugs and problems, but I guess there are maybe one tool out there that works fine.   • Exchange 2010 SP1 won't allow messages to be deleted in OWA

    Before upgrading to Service Pack 1 of Exchange 2010, OWA worked fine. We were able to do everything with no issues. After the upgrade, we can no longer delete messages within OWA unless we open up the message and delete it using the delete button inside of the message window. The error we get is this: We've searched online and only found several posts pointing us to rename or delete the web.config file in the inetpub directory. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

  • Determine who is opening a .PST file from a network drive on the local network?

    Our system admin has been struggling with the issue of our network getting completely locked up when users open PST files from network drives. Apparently Microsoft is aware of this problem but there is no fix for it. The entire local network is unable to use Outlook while this file is being opened (which may take hours). Is there a way to determine which user is opening the file instead of forcing everyone in the office to close outlook (like a traffic monitor or something)?

    I installed Windows 7 on my laptop, and now the 3D doesn't work. According to dxdiag DirectX 11 is installed, but when I open up World of Warcraft, this error comes up. World of Warcraft World of Warcraft was unable to start up 3D acceleration. Please make sure DirectX 9.0c is installed and your video drivers are up-to-date. There are no alerts from Windows to update any drivers. Why doesn't the 3D work?

    How do I change the colors in a Cygwin mintty session which is already open? Is it possible? Use case: Under environment-imposed time constraints, multiple terminal windows have been opened without forethought. In order to reduce the risk of typing the commands for system A into the terminal for system B, it would be nice if they were different colors. Is there some escape sequence or whatnot that can change the color scheme for a running session?

    When working from Windows, I prefer to use RoyalTS instead of the default Microsoft RDP client, because it allows me to save multiple connections, the credentials of the connection, etc; as well has having more than 1 connection open at a time. Is there a similar (or any) alternative to the Microsoft RDP client for connecting from OSX to Windows? Aside from VNC, that is; at this point I'm hoping to continue using the RDP protocol.

    I am looking for a Windows utility that can copy the currently selected filename, including the path, to the clipboard, ideally through the right-click menu. Some degree of flexibility would be useful, like the ability to copy just the filename, path+filename, filename minus extension, etc. This isn't essential, though, as long as it can copy the path+filename. Must be compatible with XP, Vista and Win7. Free and/or open source would be ideal. Thanks!

  • Advanced Chrome/ Chromium won't set as the default browser

    I've downloaded Advanced Chrome (http://browser.taokaizen.com/) and am now using it instead of Chrome. Each time I open the browser, it keeps asking me if I would like to set it as the default browser, which I do. When the browser is reopened, it asks me again. I've looked at Settings and tried to click the 'make Chromium my default browser' button, but it doesn't appear to register my wish to make it the default browser - nothing happens! Any ideas?

    I have multiple PuTTy sessions open to my SunOS 5.10 server, and I am using ksh, and SOMETIMES the command history is shared among the different sessions and SOMETIMES it is not. I cannot figure out what determines whether it is or is not shared. By shared what I mean is that a command run in one session will be seen as previous command run in another session. I prefer it not to be shared, is there a config setting for that? Thanks

  • Many TCP connexions localajaxchat <=> 1e100

    Hi all! I don't get that: as soon as I open a Webpage, whether it's with Firefox or Chrome (I hate so much IE that I didn't test with it), there are tons of TCP connexions between "localajaxchat" and a supposed google ("1e100") domain. I've already read this topic, but my problem seems strange because there are so many TCP connexions for only one page... I don't get it. If someone could explain this problem to me... Thanks a lot!
