  I am not good in regular expressions and I need help in replacing the string. String str = "Name_XYZ_"; str = "XYZ_NAME_"; So how can I replace "Name_" or "_NAME_" from above two strings with empty string? The conditions are "Name" can be in any case and it can be at index 0 or at any index but preceded by "_". So far I tried, String replacedString = str.replaceAll("(?i)Name_", ""); // This is not correct. This is not the homework. I am working on XML file that needs such kind of processing. Please help. • iPhone developing FOR jailbroken devices (not USING jailbroken devices!)

  I would like to dig into developing for jailbroken devices, just to test what the device could do. I would like, for instance, to alter the ipod music based on geo-location, so i have to program a new daemon that runs in background and fetch gps informations at regular interlavs and then make something with them. Longitude, longitude, for instance, does exactly this, even when the device is locked, and then upload the informations on google latidude. I have some experience as an iphone developer, but i'm not sure on where to find documentation to accomplish such a task. I know about the books "iphone open application development" and "the iphone developer's coockbook", but i don't own them and i'm not sure they have what i'm looking for. Any advice on this?

  Duplicate: Random string that matches a regexp No, it isn't. I'm looking for an easy and universal method, one that I could actually implement. That's far more difficult than randomly generating passwords. I want to create an application that takes a regular expression, and shows 10 randomly generated strings that match that expression. It's supposed to help people better understand their regexps, and to decide i.e. if they're secure enough for validation purposes. Does anyone know of an easy way to do that? One obvious solution would be to write (or steal) a regexp parser, but that seems really over my head. I repeat, I'm looking for an easy and universal way to do that. Edit: Brute force approach is out of the question. Assuming the random strings would just be [a-z0-9]{10} and 1 million iterations per second, it would take 65 years to iterate trough the space of all 10-char strings.

  Hello... I am using rhino and Scripting for the Java Platform in order to allow the user extend my application. However the user can write some cases eg (ASTO.value>440) || (ASTO.bellowNormal) etc... The problem is that before running the script from my JAVA application using ScriptEngine i want to get the names of all the variables! Because i should know which variables are required for the script to run... I know that a regular expression would do the job but i amnt sure...   Hey group, first time posting here I am somewhat new to the JSON/PHP/mySQL world, but been around iPhone designing for the past few years, though this topic of conversation is a while new area I am entering. I have done JSON iPhone examples that allow me to create a UITableView and display the JSON data into the TableViewCells (CustomCells) and displays the data (NSDictionary)into UILabels The problem I am having now, is that I want an APP that displays this information from the JSON into just a couple of UILabel's on a regular UIViewController and not a UITableView any help would greatly be appreciated, the example I used and learned for JSON and UITABLE was from http://tempered.mobi/%20 I used that example from my app, but incorporated a few other things like CUSTOM cells however now when the USER selects the specific CELL I want it to load specific data from another JSON file, and cannot get it to load in a UILabel or UITextView in a UIViewController HELP :-)

• Form submission and hyperlinks using GET and POST

  I have a search resource, the user can perform searches by filling out a form and submitting it, the create action is called, the Search is saved, the show action is called, and the results are displayed. This all happens with the default POST, and all works fine. The user may want to save his search in the saved_search table (i don't use the Search table for this purpose as this table stores all searches for the purpose of compiling statistics, and gets cleared on a regular basis). Once the Search is saved, it can be re-run by clicking a hyperlink, this is where i start to get problems. I see no way of getting my hyperlink to run the create action of Search, with a POST request, and the necessary data. I then decided to try to get both form submission and the hyperlink to perform a search using a GET request, i was unable to get form_for to run my Search create action using a GET request, it always seems to get routed to my index action. Can someone suggest a good restful solution to this problem please. Many thanks

  I'm not sure if I worded the title correctly. Basically is it possible to treat a string as HTML as if it was on the page? So I can use $("#elem") and all the other jQuery functions? The HTML is loaded into a string from an ajax request and stored in a string. Instead of using regular expressions to access the data needed is it possible to use jQuery functions? ajaxTextResponse.$("#telephone"); I know the above won't work, but you see what I am getting at. • Do (statically linked) DLLs use a different heap than the main program?

  I'm new to Windows programming and I've just "lost" two hours hunting a bug which everyone seems aware of: you cannot create an object on the heap in a DLL and destroy it in another DLL (or in the main program). I'm almost sure that on Linux/Unix this is NOT the case (if it is, please say it, but I'm pretty sure I did that thousands of times without problems...). At this point I have a couple of questions: 1) Do statically linked DLLs use a different heap than the main program? 2) Is the statically linked DLL mapped in the same process space of the main program? (I'm quite sure the answer here is a big YES otherwise it wouldn't make sense passing pointers from a function in the main program to a function in a DLL). I'm talking about plain/regular DLL, not COM/ATL services EDIT: By "statically linked" I mean that I don't use LoadLibrary to load the DLL but I link with the stub library

  Anyone know of any controls that you can add to your application to allow the user to check out the content of an object? I'm thinking of something like QuickWatch in Visual Studio, just list all properties of an object and its values and allow the user to drill down. I started writing one using reflection but it turned out be a lot of work to handle different kind of collections. This functionality would be used for debugging purposes mostly and not by regular users. I prefer WPF but Winforms would work as well.

  So I'm working on creating a very simple C program that just preforms shell commands. This is what I have so far: #include <stdio.h> int main() { char input[30]; fputs("$ ", stdout); fflush(stdout); fgets(input, sizeof input, stdin); system(input); } It works, but only for one command. For example if I compile and type ./cmd I get the $ prompt. If I type ls I get what I'm supposed to get. But then it exits and goes back to the regular system shell. How can I make it so after the user types a command it goes back to the "$" input.

If a message is nested I get the information but I need the file. • How do you install cocos2d-iphone on the Mac?

  There are no good instructions for installing cocos2d for iPhone on the mac. I downloaded the current build from git, a folder called "cocos2d-iphone-0.99.1". i put this folder in /Developer/Libary. Q: is this right? I tried running the file called "install_template.sh". it said the templates were already installed. Instead, I manually dragged the templates folders where they belong, and they ~do~ appear in the XCode's "New Project" dialog. When I create a new cocos2d project, I see all these red links for project files, instead of the regular black links. When I try to open them in the finder, nothing happens. I can tell that something is not linked. Can someone please help walk me through this? Thanks!

I am compiling under JDK 1.5 Take this line as an example that I read from standard input: ab:Some string po:bubblegum What I would like to do is split by the two characters and colon. That is, once the line is split and put into a string array, these should be the terms: ab:Some string po:bubblegum I have this regex right now: String[] split = input.split("[..:]"); This splits at the semicolon; what I would like is for it to match two characters and a semicolon, but split at the space before that starts. Is this even possible? Here is the output from the string array: ab Some String po bubblegum I've read about Pattern.compile() as well. Is this something I should be considering?

  I need to take a particular action if a user logs in from the home page. In my LogOnModel, I have a hidden field: @Html.Hidden("returnUrl", Request.Url.AbsoluteUri) In my Controller, I need to check if that value is the Home page or not. In the example below, I'm checking to see if the user is on a particular page ("Account/ResetPassword"). Is there a way to check to see if they're on the home page without resorting to regular expressions?   Background: I'm trying to come up with a regex for a rewrite rule that will take anything that does not start with a particular prefix, and add that prefix to it. But urls that already have the prefix should be rejected by the regular expression (because they already have the url). Example: If the prefix is s1 a string like home will capture the home part. But a string like s1/home, will not capture anything. This way I can add the capture group onto the prefix, so that 'home' will become 's1/home'. I've tried (^s1/), but I'm missing something here, because that rejected 'home' for some reason.
