  • $(document).ready() and partial view load

    - by user252160
    I am developing an application using Asp.net mvc and jquery. I'd like to use the same naming convention (classes and ids) for html elements in different views. In case when I want to load a partial view asynchronously, the $(document).ready() piece of code in the main view loses its usefulness because none of the patial view's html tags and css naming is recognized by jquery. I certainly do not want to write the same code for every view. What's th ebest way to solve this issue?

  • click events issue in jquery.

    - by alex
    I don't know if the title explain this situation well. Below is a code i wrote to create div elements when the button is pressed. Then By clicking on any of the created divs, we can change the div background by choosing a color from the drop down box. However if i click on another div and tried to change the color by selecting another color from the drop down, the previously clicked divs also gets affected by the new color. Why is this happening. I only want the selected div to change color, without affecting the previously clicked divs. I read allot of threads on this site, some of which talks about unbinding clicks, but I'm unable to solve the problem. Thanks for the help. <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <style> .aaa { width:100px; height:100px;background-color:#ccc;margin-bottom:5px;} p{widht:500px; height:500px; margin:0px; padding:0px;border:2px solid red;color:#000;} </style> <select id="item_select" name="item"> <option value="1">red</option> <option value="2">blue</option> <option value="3">green</option> </select> <button>Click to create divs</button> <p id="ptest"></p> <script type="text/javascript"> var dividcount = 1; $("button").click(run); function run(){ var myDiv = $('<div id=lar'+dividcount+' class=aaa></div>'); $(myDiv).clone().appendTo('#ptest'); $(dividcount++); $("div").bind('click',(function() { var box = $("div").index(this); var idd = (this.id); $("#"+idd).text("div #"+idd); $("select").change(function(){ var str= $("select option:selected").text(); $("#"+idd).css("background-color",str); }); })); }; </script>

  • Going to IE8 with DOCTYPE HTML 4.01 Transitional any suggestions appeciated.

    - by Marco Demaio
    Hello, we use in all our pages in the 1st line of our HTML code the: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> We are moving on to the new IE8 and we would like to keep the DOCTYPE unchanged, is there any suggestions/warnings we better be aware of? I mean like: "Be careful that CSS min-width is not working anymore in IE8 transitional, be careful that it will screw up page in this and that, etc." Thanks!

  • jQTouch animated table cell hight

    - by Brett
    Hi everybody, I am using jQTouch to show a table list. When a cell (really a < li tag in jQTouch) is clicked, I would like to animate the height of the cell down to 0, then hide the element. I have tried using jquery.animate() for this, and it works on firefox/chrome/opera, but it is super slow on the iPhone. Does anyone have any idea how to use -webkit-animate (or some iPhone compatible framework, such as jQTouch), to do this? Thanks, Brett

  • Problems with office automation in asp.net. I can use alternatives such as open-office, if I knew ho

    - by Vinicius Melquiades
    I have a ASP.NET 2.0 web application that should upload a ppt file and then extract its slides to images. For that I have imported office.dll and Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint.dll assemblies and wrote the following code public static int ExtractImages(string ppt, string targetPath, int width, int height) { var pptApplication = new ApplicationClass(); var pptPresentation = pptApplication.Presentations.Open(ppt, MsoTriState.msoTrue, MsoTriState.msoFalse, MsoTriState.msoFalse); var slides = new List<string>(); for (var i = 1; i <= pptPresentation.Slides.Count; i++) { var target = string.Format(targetPath, i); pptPresentation.Slides[i].Export(target, "jpg", width, height); slides.Add(new FileInfo(target).Name); } pptPresentation.Close(); return slides.Count; } If I run this code in my local machine, in asp.net or a executable, it runs perfectly. But If I try running it in the production server, I get the following error: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005): PowerPoint could not open the file. at Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint.Presentations.Open(String FileName, MsoTriState ReadOnly, MsoTriState Untitled, MsoTriState WithWindow) at PPTImageExtractor.PptConversor.ExtractImages(String caminhoPpt, String caminhoDestino, Int32 largura, Int32 altura, String caminhoThumbs, Int32 larguraThumb, Int32 alturaThumb, Boolean geraXml) at Upload.ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) The process is running with the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE. IIS is configured to use anonymous authentication. The anonymous user is an administrator, I set it like this to allow the application to run without having to worry about permissions. In my development machine I have office 2010 beta1. I have tested with the executable in a pc with office 2007 as well. And if I run the code from the executable in the server, with office 2003 installed, it runs perfectly. To ensure that there wouldn't be any problems with permissions, everyone in the server has full access to the web site. The website is running in IIS7 and Classic Mode. I also heard that Open-office has an API that should be able to do this, but I couldn't find anything about it. I don't mind using DLLImport to do what I have to do and I can install open-office on the web server. Don't worry about rewriting this method, as long as the parameters are the same, everything will work. I appreciate your help. ps: Sorry for bad English.

    Hi, My Requirement is to show two sub reports in a Report. What I am doing is, I have created two sub-reports and put that into a report. I am designing website for mobile access and I want to set page width, height and button sizes, so they display filling up the screen. For example if user is using HTC HD , the whole screen would be 480x800 with button sized 240x200. However IE mobile as well as Opera load the page with some zoom level, so the buttons display either too large or too small. How can I either read current zoom level in javascript or set it from javascript?

  • Flash AS3 blur or liquify part of an image with mouse

    Hi, I am very beginner in flash. I want to load an image, show a cursor over the image and on mousedown I want to blur that actual part of the image. I can delete parts of the image with white line, but I would like to blur it instead // LIVE JPEG ENCODER 0.3 // from bytearray.org import asfiles.encoding.JPEGEncoder; import flash.external.ExternalInterface; ExternalInterface.addCallback("flash_saveImage", inflash_saveImage); var loader:Loader = new Loader(); loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, handleComplete); loader.load(new URLRequest(loaderInfo.parameters._filename)); //loader.load(new URLRequest("b.jpg")); var container_mc:MovieClip = new MovieClip;//create movieclip function handleComplete(e:Event):void { addChild(container_mc); var bitmapData:BitmapData = Bitmap(e.target.content).bitmapData; var matrix:Matrix = new Matrix(); container_mc.graphics.clear(); container_mc.graphics.beginBitmapFill(bitmapData, matrix, false); //container_mc.graphics.beginFill(0xFFFFFF,0); container_mc.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, bitmapData.width, bitmapData.height); container_mc.graphics.endFill(); swapChildren(container_mc, pencil); container_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, startDrawing); container_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, stopDrawing); container_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, makeLine); } stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, moveCursor); Mouse.hide(); function moveCursor(event:MouseEvent):void { pencil.x = event.stageX; pencil.y = event.stageY; } function startDrawing(event:MouseEvent):void{ container_mc.graphics.lineStyle(20, 0xFFFFFF, 1); container_mc.graphics.moveTo(mouseX, mouseY); container_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, makeLine); } function stopDrawing(event:MouseEvent):void{ container_mc.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, makeLine); } function makeLine(event:MouseEvent):void{ container_mc.graphics.lineTo(mouseX, mouseY); } function inflash_saveImage ( ):void { var myURLLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); var myBitmapSource:BitmapData = new BitmapData ( container_mc.width, container_mc.height ); // render the player as a bitmapdata myBitmapSource.draw ( container_mc ); // create the encoder with the appropriate quality var myEncoder:JPEGEncoder = new JPEGEncoder( 80 ); // generate a JPG binary stream to have a preview var myCapStream:ByteArray = myEncoder.encode ( myBitmapSource ); var header:URLRequestHeader = new URLRequestHeader ("Content-type", "application/octet-stream"); var myRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ( "save.php" ); myRequest.requestHeaders.push (header); myRequest.method = URLRequestMethod.POST; myRequest.data = myCapStream; myURLLoader.load ( myRequest ); } Thanks, hamlet

  • jQuery Dialog + Chrome - opening a second modal dialog doesn't dim the page

    - by psychotik
    I have a jQuery modal dialog with a button. When clicked, it closes the current dialog and open another modal dialog. This works fine in FF and IE, but in Chrome I lose the dimmed main page after the first dialog and the second one is opened. It looks like the CSS isn't applied anymore? I'm using jQuery UI 1.7.2 and jQuery 1.3.2 (can't upgrade to 1.4.1 for an unrelated reason). Any ideas/workarounds?

  • jquery.ui sortable using a table and item:tr , placeholder difficulties

    - by greg
    Hi I would really like to give some sortable goodness to the myriad old tables I have created. A little work has a proof of concept behaving ok. My one sticking point is that the placeholder does not work at all in IE 7 when using item:TR . It works OK in FF. I can make an perform correctly. It seems to be specific to tables and Any ideas, I have been running through forums, not seeing a lot of people using sortable with tables. <style type="text/css"> .dndPlaceHolder { background-color:Red ; color:Red; height: 20px; line-height:30px; border: solid 2px black; } .dndItem { background-color: #c0c0c0; border:solid 1px black; padding:5px; } </style> <script type="text/javascript" > $(function() { $("#myTable").sortable( { placeholder:'dndPlaceHolder', distance:15, items:'tr', forcePlaceholderSize:true, change : dndChange, update : dndUpdate } ); $("#myTable").disableSelection(); $("#myList").sortable( { placeholder:'dndPlaceHolder', distance:15, items:'li', forcePlaceholderSize:true, change : dndChange, update : dndUpdate } ); $("#myList").disableSelection(); }); function dndChange(event,ui){ } function dndUpdate(event,ui){ var msg = ''; } </script> <table id='myTable' > <tr class='dndItem' id='1'> <td>0 Active - Active</td> </tr> <tr class='dndItem' id='2'> <td>1 Closed - Closed</td> </tr> <tr class='dndItem' id='3'> <td>2 OnHold - On Hold</td> </tr> <tr class='dndItem' id='4'> <td>3 Pending - Pending</td> </tr> </table> <BR> <UL id='myList' > <li class='dndItem' id='1'>0 Active - Active</li> <li class='dndItem' id='2'>1 Closed - Closed</li> <li class='dndItem' id='3'>2 OnHold - On Hold</li> <li class='dndItem' id='4'>3 Pending - Pending</li> </ul>

  • Problem with JOGL and Framebuffer Render-to-texture: Invalid Framebuffer Operation Error

    - by quadelirus
    Okay, so I am trying to render a scene to a small 32x32 texture and ran into problems. I get an "invalid framebuffer operation" error when I try to actually draw anything to the texture. I have simplified the code below so that it simply tries to render a quad to a texture and then bind that quad as a texture for another quad that is rendered to the screen. So my question is this... where is the error? This is using JOGL 1.1.1. The error occurs at Checkpoint2 in the code. import java.awt.event.*; import javax.media.opengl.*; import javax.media.opengl.glu.*; import javax.swing.JFrame; import java.nio.*; public class Main extends JFrame implements GLEventListener, KeyListener, MouseListener, MouseMotionListener, ActionListener{ /* GL related variables */ private final GLCanvas canvas; • ColumnChart google visualization column color change

    - by drozzy
    Does anyone know if I can hack google's visualization ColumnChart api chart somehow, to make a single column stand out with a different color, like so: I know you can do it with ImageChart, so I don't need that (it fires no events and has no x/y labels). Can I traverse the result with javascript somehow and change the CSS style, if it is truly rendered in SVG?
