    I have developed my own word breaker for SQL 2005 and the Full Text Search feature. I know how to use it by simply hijacking an existing language and add the wordbreaker to the registry for the hijacked language. However I'm not completely satisfied with that solution. I want to create a completely new language is this possible?

  • How to reduce compile time with C++ templates

    I'm in the process of changing part of my C++ app from using an older C type array to a templated C++ container class. See this question for details. While the solution is working very well, each minor change I make to the templated code causes a very large amount of recompilation to take place, and hence drastically slows build time. Is there any way of getting template code out of the header and back into a cpp file, so that minor implementation changes don't cause major rebuilds?

    I'm working on a project for school, we use visual studio 2008 there and I use it at home, both are express edition. The project in question I started at school, but I cannot edit it at home, when I open the .sln I get this "The IntelliSense information will not be available for .VC++ projects because the Intellisense database file Location/Junk.ncb could not be opened for writing. Other features will also be affected if the solution directory is read-only." How do I open my project so that I can edit it?

  • Dll resources in resource editor: Where do they come from?

    Hi, I have a small C++ dll which was written in Visual Studio (of course). In the solution code, I have a resource file that includes only version information. The strange dact is, that when I frag the compiled dll to Visual Studio, it opens a resource viewer with bitmaps, dialogs and a string table - where do all of them come from?? Is there any way to remove them? Thanks in advance.

    I am trying to find a way to display numerical digits as a larger font size than chars on a website (not my idea!). The reason for this is to make the numbers stand out. I have looked for a font that would satisfy this without coding but I could not find any. Also, I don't want to slow down the website by having the font coverted to an image.     I'm building a WPF application and working with the MVVM pattern. I have 4 projects in my solution, 3 class libraries, Data, Model and ViewModel and the WPF executable View. Is there anything wrong with the Model referencing WindowsBase so that I can use ObservableCollection<T> for example or can I just make use of what I intuitively feel I need without worrying about the original purposes of the class in the framework e.g. collection databinding.

And I want to filter out all stop words (i.e. "some" and "of") but I don't want to change letter case of other words which should be retained. If letter case was unimportant I would do this: str.toLowerCase().replaceAll ("a|the|of|some|any", ""); Is there an "ignore case" solution with regular expressions in java?

I am not using a svn client for this repo, but managing everything with ankhsvn (including adding solution file and project files to the new repo).   • visual studio crashes when i view a javascript file

    i start up an existing solution, click on a javascript file, the file opens up in the IDE for a few seconds and then visual studio disappears. This is consistent and reproducible. I saw this patch for KB958502 and installed it but it didn't seem to do anything. Any suggestions on how i can proceed as this is completely stopping my development here.
