  • Silverlight: Set Items Widths in ItemsControl to Stretch

    - by Tom Allen
I've got an ItemsControl which fills from top to bottom, but I can't get it's child items to occupy the whole width of the ItemsControl: I basically need to stretch the green bits to fill the width of the control (as shown by the blue bits). I've tried things like setting the HorizontalAlignment property of the template item to Stretch and I've even tried binding it's Width property to the ItemsControl Width, but neither worked. Should be a straight forward one, but it's something I just can't quite figure out...

  • Creating a ListView and setting the background color of a view in each row.

    - by Tarmon
Hey Everyone, I am trying to implement a ListView that is composed of rows that contain a View on the left followed by a TextView to the right of that. I want to be able to change the background color of the first View based on it's position in the ListView. Below is what I have at this point but it doesn't seem to due anything. public class Routes extends ListActivity { String[] ROUTES; TextView selection; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); ROUTES = getResources().getStringArray(R.array.routes); setContentView(R.layout.routes); setListAdapter(new IconicAdapter()); selection=(TextView)findViewById(R.id.selection); } public void onListItemClick(ListView parent, View v, int position, long id) { selection.setText(ROUTES[position]); } class IconicAdapter extends ArrayAdapter<String> { IconicAdapter() { super(Routes.this, R.layout.row, R.id.label, ROUTES); } } public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { LayoutInflater inflater = getLayoutInflater(); View row = inflater.inflate(R.layout.row, parent, false); TextView label = (TextView) row.findViewById(R.id.label); label.setText(ROUTES[position]); View icon = (View) row.findViewById(R.id.icon); switch(position){ case 0: icon.setBackgroundColor(R.color.Red); break; case 1: icon.setBackgroundColor(R.color.Red); break; case 2: icon.setBackgroundColor(R.color.Green); break; case 3: icon.setBackgroundColor(R.color.Green); break; case 4: icon.setBackgroundColor(R.color.Blue); break; case 5: icon.setBackgroundColor(R.color.Blue); break; } return(row); } } Any input is appreciated and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! • Android Drawable question.

    - by Tarmon
    Hey Everyone, I am trying to create a drawable in code and change the color based on some criteria. I can get it to work but it doesn't want to let me set the padding on the view. Any help would be appreciated. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ImageView android:id="@+id/icon" android:layout_width="50px" android:layout_height="fill_parent" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/label" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:paddingLeft="17px" android:textSize="28sp" /> ImageView icon = (ImageView) row.findViewById(R.id.icon); ShapeDrawable mDrawable; int x = 0; int y = 0; int width = 50; int height = 50; float[] outerR = new float[] { 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12 }; mDrawable = new ShapeDrawable(new RoundRectShape(outerR, null, null)); mDrawable.setBounds(x, y+height, x + width, y); switch(position){ case 0: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xffff0000); //Red break; case 1: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xffff0000); //Red break; case 2: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff00c000); //Green break; case 3: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff00c000); //Green break; case 4: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff0000ff); //Blue break; case 5: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff0000ff); //Blue break; case 6: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff696969); //Gray break; case 7: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff696969); //Gray break; case 8: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xffffff00); //Yellow break; case 9: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff8b4513); //Brown break; case 10: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff8b4513); //Brown break; case 11: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xff8b4513); //Brown break; case 12: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xffa020f0); //Purple break; case 13: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xffff0000); //Red break; case 14: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xffffd700); //Gold break; case 15: mDrawable.getPaint().setColor(0xffff6600); //Orange break; } icon.setBackgroundDrawable(mDrawable); icon.setPadding(5, 5, 5, 5); If I set the padding in XML it just ignores it. Thanks, Rob

  • Eventlet and locking

    - by TheDude
Since Eventlet uses green threading and asynchronous I/O, do I still need to set locks before accessing objects? My understanding is that greenlets are all part of one thread and locking isn't necessary. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

  • Getting XML data from a external page and parsing it with PHP

    - by James P
I'm trying to create a database of World of Warcraft gems. If I go to this page: http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=purple&searchType=items And go to View Source in Firefox, I see a tonne of XML data which is exactly what I want. I wrote up this quick script to try and parse some of it: <?php $gemUrls = array( 'Blue' => 'http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=blue&searchType=items', 'Red' => 'http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=red&searchType=items', 'Yellow' => 'http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=yellow&searchType=items', 'Meta' => 'http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=meta&searchType=items', 'Green' => 'http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=green&searchType=items', 'Orange' => 'http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=orange&searchType=items', 'Purple' => 'http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=purple&searchType=items', 'Prismatic' => 'http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=purple&searchType=items' ); // Get blue gems $blueGems = file_get_contents($gemUrls['Blue']); $xml = new SimpleXMLElement($blueGems); echo $xml->items[0]->item; ?> But I get a load of errors like this: Warning: SimpleXMLElement::__construct() [simplexmlelement.--construct]: Entity: line 20: parser error : xmlParseEntityRef: no name in C:\xampp\htdocs\WoW\index.php on line 19 Warning: SimpleXMLElement::__construct() [simplexmlelement.--construct]: if(Browser.iphone && Number(getcookie2("mobIntPageVisits")) < 3 && getcookie2( in C:\xampp\htdocs\WoW\index.php on line 19 I'm not sure what's wrong. I think file_get_contents() is bringing back data that isn't XML, maybe some Javascript files judging by the iPhone parts in the errors. Is there any way to just get back the XML from that page? Without any HTML or anything? Thanks :)

  • Looking for MDI Manager with tab grouping that allows show and hide of groups?

    - by Jeff Lundstrom
I am looking for a MDI manager solution that allows documents to be grouped and show/hidden programmaticly. Example, 3 document types, red, yellow and green. When you click a button the MDI manager shows only the red documents by hiding the other 2 types tabs. None of the MDI managers (Actipro, Infragistics, etx) I have looked at can do this. They require all documents to be visible... Anyone know of a good solution for this in C#? Thanks, Jeff

  • How to calculate the average rgb color values of a bitmap

    - by Matthias
In my C# (3.5) application I need to get the average color values for the red, green and blue channels of a bitmap. Preferably without using an external library. Can this be done? If so, how? Thanks in advance. Trying to make things a little more precise: Each pixel in the bitmap has a certain RGB color value. I'd like to get the average RGB values for all pixels in the image.

  • Is it a good idea to keep all the enums in one place?

    - by kzen
When I'm building a class library I usually create a file Enums.cs to hold all the enums used in the assembly. Here is an example: namespace MyNamespace { public enum Colors { Red, Green, Blue } public enum Shapes { Circle, Square, Triangle } } This makes all my enums easy to find, well organized and easy to access in code. I'm wondering if there is any reason why this would not be such a good idea?

  • Positioning element under another

    - by Cedar Jensen
I am not an expert web-dev so please bear with me here. I would like to display a banner style header for a page with the top part taken up by an image that is 275x116 and then a horizontal menu bar (styled using ul items) appearing at 70% from the top of the banner. How would I set this up so that the banner appears underneath my navigation? Currently, a portion of the left side of my menu bar sits underneath the image but I'd like it to be the opposite so the menu bar is above the image, some thing like this: ============= <start of header> =========== -------- | img | | | | Horizontal menu | | -------- ============= <end of header> =========== My css: #header { background-color: green; border: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0; overflow: hidden; width: 100%; height: 120px; } #logo { background: green url(images/logo.png) no-repeat scroll 0 0; margin: 0px 0px; border: 1px solid white; left: 20px; top: 20px; width: 275px; height: 116px; position: absolute; z-index: -1000; } .container { border:1px solid grey; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; width:960px; } My Html: <body> <div id="header"> <div id="logo"> </div> <div class="container" id="primaryNavbar"> <ul> <li><a href="#">Home</a></li> <li><a href="#">Books</a></li> <li><a href="#">Shows</a></li> <li><a href="#">Movies</a></li> </ul> <div class="clear">&nbsp;</div> </div> <!-- end of container --> </div> <!-- end of header --> </body> I thought that setting the position to "absolute" for the logo element and adding in a very low z-index would achieve this but that isn't the case here. Any suggestions?
