    I've got a solution which I setup / cleanup using batch files ... - there are a pair of MSMQ ports, send and receive, with another application on the end of the queues I'm finding I can't properly stop the orchestration in the batch file ... the error is the send port is unenlisted - I'm using the StopOrch.vbs script from the SDK samples But I can go into BizTalk Admin Console and manually stop the orchestration with Full Terminate Ok The setup / cleanup works Ok if I don't actually push any messages down the MSMQ queues

  • Reopening serial port fails if not closed properly with CloseHandle

    I am working with USB device on Windows that is seen as a virtual serial port. I can communicate with the device using CreateFile and ReadFile functions, but in some cases my application does not call CloseHandle (when my application in development crashes). After that all calls to CreateFile fail (ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED), and the only solution is to log in to my computer again. Is there any way to force closing the open handle (or reopening) programmatically?

  • Compile Qt Project To Run On A Linux System

    I have a Qt project. It uses the cross platform libraries SDL, OpenGL and FLTK. I want to be able to compile the project so that it can run on a Linux computer. I'm looking at a bunch of articles I have seen so far two ways to do this. Use a cross compiler, which seems to me a rather complicated thing to setup and compile with, or, the other options, is to compile the project simply on a Linux computer, simply the Linux version of Qt creator/SDK. My question is, If I have a Qt project that uses only cross platform libraries, then is creating a Windows version easy as compiling it in Qt/Windows, and creating the Linux version as easy as doing it in Qt/Linux? PS. Please don't ask/complain about why I didn't just try to see if it works myself, I don't have any Linux OS's installed on my computer right now, and I don't want to risk going into the trouble of installing a whole new OS just to have it not work in the end.

    I have previously talked about the installation of the Community ODBC adapter and also using the ODBC adapter to generate schemas and laterly the creation of a receive port using the ODBC Adapter.  But what about creating a send port? Select to add a new Send Port, select the ODBC Adapter and click configure. Clicking Connection string will open the DataSource window. Choose one of your system datasources and press OK. This will now update the Transport properties.  Select okay. All that remains is to set the standard send port properties and your ODBC send port is now ready.

    In my ubuntu box I am running flexlm licensing software on port 27000 and I am able to pull the license from the this port to run the simulation software locally. I am also trying to run the same software in another Linux machine (opensuse) by using the flexlm license from the Ubuntu box. However, my opensuse box is unable to communicate with port 27000 in my Ubuntu box. I have turned off the firewall on the Ubuntu box, played around with iptables and when I do a nmap from my opensuse box to Ubuntu box the message I get is that port 27000 is on filtered status. My understanding is that filtered status does not allow the opensuse box to communicate with Ubuntu. My question is how to change port 27000 from filtered status to open status? Hope someone can help me out. Thank you.

    Background: I have a desktop computer running Ubuntu 12.04. I have installed DRBL to handle DHCP server and Clonezilla Server. I have a network card in my desktop with 2 ports in it. These 2 ports are bonded together and are used by DRBL. There is a 3rd port integrated in the motherboard. I want to use this 3rd port for internet. DRBL knows that this is set for internet. Ubuntu Network-Manager has stopped recognising the connections (device not managed). It use to say that eth1 was default (first port in the network card) I want eth0 to be default as that is the Internet port. Question: How do I make network-manager see eth0 as the defualt port?

  • 2-Bay External HDD Enclosure in JBOD mode fails to detect both drives (Linux & Windows)

    I recently purchased a couple of USB 3.0 External HDD Enclosures to use for storage and backup; the idea was to have one act as backup to the other, with 4 x 3TB drives in total. However, the second drive in each is not accessible in either Linux nor Windows, and I could not determine the reason. 1. Situation The two enclosures are slightly different (couldn't find them in stock at the same time) yet from many little details appear to be the same Chinese base design with a tweaked outer shell. The models are: Sharkoon 2-Bay RAID Box Fantec MR-35DU3 The drives are Seagate 3TB Barracuda ST33000651AS, firmware CC44, all identical. From reading manuals and online sources, I determined that JBOD would be the optimal setup for my needs -- addressing the two drives separately in each enclosure would be important, making it easy to swap drives and mix&match them if needed; all the other modes implied the controller doing a combination of the drives. The software used was Debian GNU/Linux - testing/wheezy - kernel 2.6.39-2 and Windows 7 Ultimate. 2. Description of the problem Now, here comes the problem: every time I connect either of the enclosures to a PC using the supplied cable (tried a different one as well), only the HDD in the top bay is readable, the one below is detected yet errors out in various ways. According to the manuals, it should not happen: in JBOD, the system should be able to "see" two separate drives upon connection. This happens with both enclosures and any combination of HDDs (i.e. if I swap them, the same thing happens), so the HDDs are good and I think so are the enclosures (two different companies making similar products that failed in an identical fashion would be very unlikely). The top HDD can be used fine every time, I actually tried a speed test from Linux and got about 150MiB/s reads, so all is working as it should; the one below refuses to work every time. So the failure is consistent. To make sure this was not some obscure Linux bug, I tried the same under Windows 7, and the system also only created one drive letter for a drive of 3TB size (so it was only seeing one instead of both). Placing an older, known good, 2TB drive in the top bay made that the one recognised, so we have the same issue under Windows as well. Log entries under Linux (tested here with a 3TB and a 2TB drive so I could differentiate them; either one works in the top enclosure, in the test setup the 3TB one is on top).   • Upgrade issues due to broken "dependency problems prevent configuration of linux-image-generic" error

    okay, I've recently upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04 and I've been having some issues. I don't know if its a bug or not, but I thought I would submit it here. Okay here's a little background; I ran the distro update from the update manager and got a couple errors that I didn't catch. the computer restarted, and when I logged the Launcher and my top bar of the Ubuntu desktop didn't load. While it was trying to load a couple error messages came up, I think they were called "apport", saying they couldn't send the bug information for some reason. I believe it said somethings wrong with my internet connection, but nothing's wrong with it.     Hello. I'm facing a particular issue that regards serial communication under win32. I'm communicating with a device can only accept frames when it is not already communicating. So I must find a valid frame and then inmediatelly send my request. I developed a class named Serial that handles basic operations on serial port (open, close, read, write) and then a Thread calls inside a loop read and write functions. When this happens, it writes the frame through serial port. Here comes my problem. When device sends me small frames (around 30 bytes) everything works fine, but when larger frames are sent, the code is not able to find any free time between frames causing the thread to never be able send any frame because readed is never 0. If I increase the number of bytes to read inside the read() function, lose the ability to detect when the device "listens": bool ok = ::ReadFile(handle, buffer_in, 50, &bytes_read, &ov_reader ); This happens because my app can receive the end of a frame together with the start of the next one. This behaviour is very common. In the other hand, if I change the INFINITE argument by a valid timeout in the WaitForMultipleObjects function, I lose data. So my question basically is... what I'm doing wrong? Why when reading 1 byte each time I don't find any free time to send my own frames? Thank you

  • Can't seem to install imagick

    I'm trying to install the PHP PEAR PECL extension "imagick" (image magick), but failing horribly. It seems that I keed installing packages to progress, but this one has me stumped. It seems to fail all the way at the bottom. Please Note: I'm using ArchLinux, apt-get doesn't save me. [root@Crux tmp]# pecl install imagick downloading imagick-3.0.1.tgz ...   • Disable "longhaul" kernel module with a GRUB command?

    I've got a problem with a VIA C3 (1GHz)-system: the system freezes immediately when the CPU frequency goes under 731MHz because of an incompatibility with the (not completely implemented) i686 commands and a powersave feature of the kernel. There is a workaround: deactivate the "longhaul" kernelmodule via alias longhaul off in /etc/modprobe.d/aliases. But the system freezes before I can install any Linux distribution - even Clonezilla freezes. Is there a possibility to deactivate the module with a GRUB boot parameter before the kernel is loaded?

  • Implication of variable context switching time

    Hi, I know that constant switching time of the Linux scheduler was a big achievement. I was just asking myself the question what would be the implication of a non-constant switching time. The only obvious reason I can think of is real-time systems where we have to meet deadlines. There it is obviously no ideal if the switching time is "random".   • bridge traffic limiting via tc

    I have a Linux machine running as a bridge simulating various network conditions. I use tc for this. Introducing delays or packet loss is quite simple but I got into trouble trying to configure bandwidth limiting. Can you, please, show me how to limit all the traffic going through my bridge without any special rules and condition, simply limit it to 1Mb/s? Thanks.
