  Hi, Please let me know that how can I create a custom render extension in SSRS 2008. I have created it in SSRS 2005, but when I try using the same code in SQL Serever 2008, it does not work. The IRenderingExtension interface doesnot seem to be compatible with 2008.   I have a piece of code that sends email.. heres the code This is not working for me. This a remote smtp service ... and i double checked that email web access works fine .. i can login using the gui, recieve and send emails. But when i try to do it through code .. it fails with the message ... {System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. My current email sending code that works fine under full trust throws SecurityException under medium trust [SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.Mail.SmtpPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.] Examining my machine.config and allied files reveal that my SMTP access is restricted to Connect. <SecurityClass Name="SmtpPermission" Description="System.Net.Mail.SmtpPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"/> and <IPermission class="SmtpPermission" version="1" Access="Connect"/> According to MSDN, Connect allows request on port 25 only. But Gmail servers work on port 587. Any workarounds? suggestions?

  I have a problem with IE causing two errors: 1. Object doesn't support this property or method 2. Call was rejected by callee. My Intention: To call window.opener.myObject method that is going to retrieve some data using ajax and pass in callback function that live as nested function in popup window that initiated call that is going to handle response data and modify popup window html accordingly. Here is a scenario: I pull up popup window that handles some specific operation. This popup window calling window.opener.myObject method that using ajax call. I'm passing in popup window function that is going to handle response and it works with ff and safari but not with ie.   I have a problem with performance of my code under Windows Forms. Have a form, her layout is depending on constructor data, because he layout must be OnLoad or in Constructor generated. • Executing sequential stored procedures; works in query analyzer, doesn't in my .NET application

  Hello, I have an audit record table that I am writing to. I am connecting to MyDb, which has a stored procedure called 'CreateAudit', which is a passthrough stored procedure to another database on the same machine called MyOther DB with a stored procedure called 'CreatedAudit' as well. In other words in MyDB I have CreateAudit, which does the following EXEC dbo.MyOtherDB.CreateAudit. I call the MyDb CreateAudit stored procedure from my application, using subsonic as the DAL. The first time I call it, I call it with the following (pseudocode): Result = CreateAudit(recordId, "Opened") One line after that, I call: Result2 = CreateAudit(recordId, "Closed") In my second stored procedure it is supposed to mark the record that was created by the CreateAudit(recordId, "Opened") with a status of closed. It works great if I run them independently of one another, but when they run in sequence in the application, the record is not marked as "Closed". When I run SQL profiler I see that both queries ran, and if I copy the queries out and run them from query analyzer the record gets marked as closed 100% of the time! When I run it from the application, about once every 20 times or so, the record is successfully marked closed - the other 19 times nothing happens, but I do not get an error! Is it possible for the .NET app to skip over the ouput from the first stored procedure and start executing the second stored procedure before the record in the first is created? When I add a "WAITFOR DELAY '00:00:00:003'" to the top of my stored procedure, the record is also closed 100% of the time. My head is spinning, any ideas why this is happening! Thanks for any responses, very interested in hearing how this can happen.

  I am building a client server application using Java Sockets (in Windows XP). For that I need different consoles for both Client and Server(for Input and Output operations). But in eclipse both share a single console. Is there any plugin or some sort of cheat through which I can do this. To get the WebPart working fully, however I find that I need to modify the wss_custom_wss_minimaltrust.config by hand after deployment and set Unrestricted="true" on the permissions set <PermissionSet class="NamedPermissionSet" version="1" Description="Permission set for MyApp" Name="mywebparts.wsp-86d8cae1-7db2-4057-8c17-dc551adb17a2-1"> to <PermissionSet class="NamedPermissionSet" version="1" Description="Permission set for MyApp" Name="mywebparts.wsp-86d8cae1-7db2-4057-8c17-dc551adb17a2-1" Unrestricted="true"> It's all because I'm loading a User Control from the webpart. I don't believe there is a way to enable that using CAS but am willing to be proven wrong. Is there a way to set something in the manifest so I don't need to make this fix by hand? Thanks

It uses the default Django auth system for users and registration and session framework. Now I want to implement a referral system to my system where people can invite other people by giving their referral link (ie mysite.com/referral/123123/ ) and if a person signs up AND buys an item, the inviter gets 5$. How can this the implemented ?

• How do you measure latency in low-latency environments?

  Here's the setup... Your system is receiving a stream of data that contains discrete messages (usually between 32-128 bytes per message). As part of your processing pipeline, each message passes through two physically separate applications which exchange the data using a low-latency approach (such as messaging over UDP) or RDMA and finally to a client via the same mechanism. Assuming you can inject yourself at any level, including wire protocol analysis, what tools and/or techniques would you use to measure the latency of your system. As part of this, I'm assuming that every message that is delivered to the system results in a corresponding (though not equivalent) message being pushed through the system and delivered to the client. The only tool that I've seen on the market like this is TS-Associates TipOff. I'm sure that with the right access you could probably measure the same information using a wire analysis tool (ala wireshark) and the right dissectors, but is this the right approach or are there any commodity solutions that I can use?

• sudo taking long time

  On a Ubuntu 9 64bit Linux machine, sudo takes longer time to start. "sudo echo hi" takes 2-3 minutes. strace on sudo tells poll("/etc/pam.d/system-auth", POLLIN) timesout after 5 seconds and there are multiple calls(may be a loop) to same system call (which causes 2-3min delay). Any idea why sudo has to wait for /etc/pam.d/system-auth? Any tunable to make sudo to timeout faster? Thanks Samuel

Image tmp = (System.Drawing.Image)myManager.GetObject(tempImage); cfgPassPicture[m].Image = tmp.GetThumbnailImage(40, 40, new System.Drawing.Image.GetThumbnailImageAbort(ThumbnailCallback), System.IntPtr.Zero); How do I do this for images in directory (instead of resources), given only the URL? I can load image into PictureBox via ImageLocation property, but not sure how to use Image property of PictureBox for this. Thanks

  I use MQ for send/receive message between my system and other system. Sometime I found that no response message in response queue, yet other system have already put response message into response queue (check from log). So, how to check which point is cause of problem, how to prove message is not arrive to my response queue. In addition, when message arrive my queue it will be written to log file.
