  • Mercurial browser on Windows 2003 takes several refreshes before displaying repositories

    When attempt to browse my Mercurial repositories it usually takes several refreshes before the repository list is displayed. The configuration is as follows: Windows Server 2003 (Dedicated machine hosted by http://www.server4you.com/. Site has anonymous password protection with self-signed SSL. Mercurial 1.5.3 Python 2.6.5 Python for Windows 32 extensions 214 py2.6 isapi-wsgi 0.4.2 The repositories are being served via ISAPI using the standard hgwebdir_wspi.py file (copy to follow). Other problems with the repository server: Before doing a clone/push/etc I have to browse the repositories first otherwise hg on my local machine can not locate the site. I have one a repository with a large changeset that after a minute or so throw error "abort: error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". Will be asking another question for this problem.   • Compiling PHP with GD crashes with EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) on PPC Mac

    First of all, I should say that I have searched the whole Internet for this problem but I couldn't find any solution yet. I have a Mac mini PowerPC (PPC) and I run Apache webserver (httpd-2.2.22) with PHP (5.4.0) and I do all the configure & compilation jobs by myself. If configure with: './configure' '--prefix=/usr/local/php5' '--mandir=/usr/share/man' '--infodir=/usr/share/info' '--sysconfdir=/etc' '--with-config-file-path=/etc' '--with-zlib' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr' '--with-openssl=/usr' '--without-iconv' '--enable-exif' '--enable-ftp' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-mbregex' '--enable-sockets' '--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' '--with-pdo-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' '--with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config' '--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs' '--with-mcrypt' then the PHP works flawlessly. But if I add the GD module by adding these to the script above: '--with-gd' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/lib' '--with-freetype-dir=/usr/X11R6' '--with-png-dir=/usr/X11R6' '--with-xpm-dir=/usr/X11R6' the PHP gets configured and compiled without any errors but it causes EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) (see the Crash Reporter log below) when I request a page which calls PHP module. It's obvious that something related to the GD module is causing this, probably FreeType module because it's present in the log but it may not be definite of course. When the PHP crashes (or more accurately, httpd) the CPU goes 100% for 10 to 15 seconds until it recovers. I need to use the GD module and keep the Mac mini PowerPC.   • Perl program doesn't get displayed in browser (windows)

    system info: i have installed XAMPP on my machine having Window XP OS . also installed Apache2.2, now, i have created two folders in C:\xampp\htdocs they are php and perl . these folder contains programs in their respective languages (ie index.php and index.pl respectively) when i type in browser : http: //localhost:88/php/ the program in index.php gets executed and o/p is displayed in browser but , when i type: http://localhost:88/perl/ browser displays a blank page PROBLEM : how to run .pl file in above scenario ?

  • windows 8 network cant connect to other computers

    we just setup a windows 7 ultimate file server, and all the other computers on the network, found the server expect the windows 8 computer. computers on the network: vista, win 7 ultimate, mac os, win 8 (problem) I setup a homegroup on the win 7 server pc, but the windows 8 computer can't find the homegroup, nor can it connect to the server by typing its network ext //server-pc i've tried to turn on all the windows 8 sharing to discovery ON, on Private and Public and all Networks, and got nothing. should be noted that the computer is using norton firewall/AV, im not sure if that's a factor

  • progress bar for Hibernation in Windows Seven

    On XP, during hibernation a progress bar showd me how long I have to wait for completing the operation. On Seven, I see no progress bar and the monitor turn off at once while the OS saves the ram on the disk. Same thing during the wake up process after the hibernation. Is it possible to have the progress bar for hibernation and following wake up on Seven?

  • Can I resize the screen resolution of a remote desktop session?

    Is it possible to change the screen resolution of a Windows remote desktop session after I'm already logged on? For example: it's set for fullscreen but afterwards I want to make the window smaller but now it's Windowed with scrollbars etc. making it a real pain. Basically what I'm hoping for is like when you resize a VMWare session, the guest OS can resize the resolution and everything works beautifully.

I need a software that will have a good chance of still opening the files I create today, several years from now. Quicken has failed me in this regard.     When a new Windows server machine joins a domain, AD seems to create a machine account "DOMAIN\MACHINENAME$" for that machine with a SID. If the machine gets reimaged (with another OS, here: W2K8 instead of W2K3) and then rejoins the domin, will AD re-use the existing domain account with the same SID? (Reason I'm asking is that we use some machine accounts as logins in SQL2008 databases..) Thanks Max

    Possible Duplicate: Auto-tagging MP3s I'm currently using musicbranz picard to tag files that don't have any usable tagging information. For some reason, currently none of the files I trying to ID seem to be identified, despite some of them them being artists who are almost certainly on musicbrainz. So, I'm looking for something that uses an alternate database and does the same thing - to identify unknown music files off an audio fingerprint. Windows is preferred, but I would be fine with any of the big 3 OSes (Windows/Linux/OS X).

After a while on superuser, opening up a new windows for each question that interests me, Expose looks like this: It is of minimal value seeing each preview is so small.
