• Unicode characters not showing in System.Windows.Forms.TextBox

  These characters show fine when I cut-and-paste them here from the VisualStudio debugger, but both in the debugger, and in the TextBox where I am trying to display this text, it just shows squares. ??\r\n???????,3-9 ?????????,???2 ?,???3 ?;10 ????4 ???????????,???2 ??\r\n??\r\n??????????,???????\r\n I thought that the TextBox supported Unicode text. Any idea how I can get this text to display in my application?

• Getting 500 Error when trying to access Rails application through Apache2

• Clickin issue in Flash and XML

  Hi, I have the php backend that displays an xml page with data for flash consuming. Flash takes it and creates a textfields dynamicaly based on this information. I have a few items in menu on top and when I click one of them, data is taken from php and everything is displayed in scroll in flash. The problem is that if I click too fast between menu items, then I get buggy layout.   Is there a way to detect when the disabled attribute of an input changes in JQuery. I want to toggle the style based on the value. I can copy/paste the same enable/disable code for each change event (as I did below) but I was looking for a more generic approach. Can I create a custom event that will monitor the disabled attribute of specified inputs?   Hi experts, In tab container let say I have two tabs [Tab1 & Tab2] Tab1 has 2 text box with required field validator Tab2 has 3 text box with required field validator Now even if I am filling all the text boxes in the TAB1, it is not allowing me to postback. [because TAB2 text boxes are still empty] & When I am filling all the textboxes [Both Tab1 & Tab2], button is firing correctly. How to avoid this ?? I mean user has to fill details for the TAB1 & can submit the details. At that Time I don't want TAB2 validations to work. Please help & kindly let me know if anything else is required.

  when trying to translate the confirmation message to Norwegian i get the following error: Cannot have more than one binding on property 'OnClientClick' on 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton'. Update: removing the meta attribute prevents the exception from occurring but the original problem still exists. I can't get the Norwegian text to show. only the default English text shows. Another Update: I know this question is getting old but i still can't get the Norwegian text to display. If anyone has some tips please post a response.

• How can I validate/secure/authenticate a JavaScript-based POST request?

  A product I'm helping to develop will basically work like this: A Web publisher creates a new page on their site that includes a <script> from our server. When a visitor reaches that new page, that <script> gathers the text content of the page and sends it to our server via a POST request (cross-domain, using a <form> inside of an <iframe>). Our server processes the text content and returns a response (via JSONP) that includes an HTML fragment listing links to related content around the Web. This response is cached and served to subsequent visitors until we receive another POST request with text content from the same URL, at which point we regenerate a "fresh" response. These POSTs only happen when our cached TTL expires, at which point the server signifies that and prompts the <script> on the page to gather and POST the text content again. The problem is that this system seems inherently insecure. In theory, anyone could spoof the HTTP POST request (including the referer header, so we couldn't just check for that) that sends a page's content to our server. This could include any text content, which we would then use to generate the related content links for that page. The primary difficulty in making this secure is that our JavaScript is publicly visible. We can't use any kind of private key or other cryptic identifier or pattern because that won't be secret. Ideally, we need a method that somehow verifies that a POST request corresponding to a particular Web page is authentic. We can't just scrape the Web page and compare the content with what's been POSTed, since the purpose of having JavaScript submit the content is that it may be behind a login system. Any ideas? I hope I've explained the problem well enough. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Right now the closest I've gotten to this method is this: private void mysList_SelectionChanged(object sender, SelectionChangedEventArgs e) { ListBoxItem lbi = (ListBoxItem)myList.SelectedItem; appSettings["name"] = (string)lbi.Content; } But, when clicked I get an InvalidCastException. As I understand it, it's basically due to me trying to convert all four textboxes into a single string (or something like that). My input can be any XML document, with any number of nested levels so the structure isn't known to the XSLT. Due to the tools available to me, my solution has to use XSLT version 1.0.   I set my wordpress permalink structure to /%postname%/ but now when I go to a page other than the home page (for example if I went to somelink.com/about) I lose all javascript references. I think this happens because the links to the js files are no longer right as it is in the imaginary folder "about". Would a regular expression be the best way? I don't really want to start including external HTML parsing libraries.

  Hello, I'm working through the exercises in Accelerated C++ and I'm stuck on question 5-6. Here's the problem description: (somewhat abbreviated, I've removed extraneous info.) 5-6. Write the extract_fails function so that it copies the records for the passing students to the beginning of students, and then uses the resize function to remove the extra elements from the end of students. (students is a vector of student structures. student structures contain an individual student's name and grades.) More specifically, I'm having trouble getting the vector.insert function to properly copy the passing student structures to the start of the vector students. • How can I modify objects inside frames with AS3 in a permanent way?

  I have a MovieClip symbol created with flash in a fla file library. There is a textfield in frame one of this movieclip's timeline . There is another frame in the movieclip timeline. There is a custon class definition for this symbol. It is a flipping card in a memory game. I access the textfield by going to frame 2 (gotoAndStop(2)) and setting the textfield's text property ( this.field.text = "hello" ). However if I go to frame 1 and then return to frame 2, the text becomes the original one in the library's symbol. I have to modify the text propery again in a showFace method I've written. Besides, I cannot pass parameters in the constructor because it is a symbol in the library and that would give errors. I find this behaviour of flash extremely weird. Is there a way I can set properties inside frames permanently? Thank you
