• How do I target a div without a class or id but with all these specific style-attributes

  I'm restyling a certain page where I don't have access to all the source-HTML. So I'm left over with some hard to target elements within a page I need removed. For example the page is swamped with <div style="float: left; width: 10.25px; height: 284px;"></div>. To get rid of them I tried this in CSS: div[style="float: left; width: 10.25px; height: 284px;"] { display:none !important; } I'd like to fix this using CSS, because the the HTML that needs to be removed is updated using ajax. How do I target a div without a class or id but with all these specific style-attributes? • Strange javascript decoding behavior in IE

  I run the following html snippet in IE8 and IE7 with non-English characters (we tried both Hebrew and Chinese), and the second link never works properly. The displayed text in the alert box is mangled. This occurs in IE8 and IE7, but not in firefox. It is not dependent on Windows's regional settings. Here is the html snippet (html header and footer omitted for brevity, the content-type is "text/html; charset=utf-8", and so is the response header): <p> <a href="javascript:alert('ab????ab')">link with English and Hebrew text</a> <a href="javascript:alert('ab%D7%A9%D7%9C%D7%95%D7%9Dab')">same text, url encoded</a> </p> Here is the alert box that pops up when clicking the second link: I know that the string for "????" is encoded as 8 bytes in utf-8, thus there are 8 %NN items, and there are also 8 weird characters in the alert box. The problem is, how can I make IE recognize that this is utf-8 encoding text, like firefox does?

What I want to do go through all .productlistname and truncate the text and replace the current text with the truncated version. • wxpython: adding panel to wx.Frame disables/conflicts with wx.Frame's OnPaint?!

  Hi all, I just encountered this strange situation: I found an example, where wx.Frame's OnPaint is overridden, and a circle is drawn. Funnily, as soon as I add even a single panel to the frame, the circle is not drawn anymore - in fact, OnPaint is not called at all anymore ! Can anyone explain me if this is the expected behavior, and how to correctly handle a wx.Frame's OnPaint, if the wx.Frame has child panels ? Small code example is below.. • WPF: Binding items added to UserControl's exposed children

  I have a user control that allows items to be added to it by exposing a Grid's Children property. Any control I add shows up fine but when I try to bind a property on the added item to a control in the main window nothing happens (example): <TextBox Name="txtTest" Text="Success!" /> <mycontrols:CustomUserControl.ExposedGridChildren> <TextBox Text="{Binding ElementName=txtTest, Path=Text, FallbackValue=fail}"/> </mycontrols:CustomUserControl.ExposedGridChildren> This example always results in the TextBox's text showing "fail". Here is how I'm exposing the children in the user control: public UIElementCollection ExposedGridChildren { get { return grdContainer.Children; } } Any thoughts? Is it a scope issue? • Phonegap - iOS keyboard is not hiding on outside tap of input field

  On input text focus, keyboard appears as expected. But when I click outside of the input text, keyboard does not hide. I am using java script and jQuery. With jQueryMobile JS and CSS - page behaves correctly. But for this project we are not using jQueryMobile. This problem is only with iOS simulator/device. With Android, it's working perfectly fine. I even tried using document.activeElement.blur(); on outer element click/tap. But then I am unable to focus to input text, because that input text is inside that outer element.

• jQuery: On form input focus, show div. hide div on blur (with a caveat)

  Hi, I am able to make a hidden div show/hide when an input field is in focus/blur using the following code: $('#example').focus(function() { $('div.example').css('display','block'); }).blur(function() { $('div.example').fadeOut('medium'); }); The problem is I want div.example to continue to be visible when the user is interacting within this div. E.g. click, or highlighting the text etc. within div.example. However div.example fades out whenever the input is not in focus and the mouse is interacting with elements within the div. The html code for the input and div elements is as follows: <p> <label for="example">Text:</label> <input id="example" name="example" type="text" maxlength="100" /> <div class="example">Some text...<br /><br />More text...</div> </p> How do I make it such that the div.example only disappears when the user clicks outside the input and/or div.example? I tried experimenting with focusin/focusout to check the focus on <p> but that didn't work either. Would it matter that div.example is positioned directly below the input field #example using jQuery? • Button outside view... how to make it work

  I have a UIImageView based class that creates objects with the following characteristics: a small image square and a UITextView below. If the user drags the object by the image it can drag it around. If the user taps on the UITextView the keyboard has to appear and the user can change the text on it. The objects created by the class are like this: 1) the object creates a 60x60 pixels frame 2) puts an image inside that frame 3) creates a UITextView and puts it below that 60x60 frame. So, as the class is a UIImageView based and it creates an image with 60x60 pixels and the UITextView is located outside that area, in theory the text view is outside the area the tapping are for that object. Obviously I could make the class create a big square to encompass the image and the text view, but that frame would be too big and I have the objects created by this class to be as close as possible when I add them to another view. I could also create the text views from the same view I created the objects, but I would have to manage each object and each correspondent text view and I need them to move together... so, I have a problem. Any ideas on a simplest way to do that?

• JQuery Hover does not work Mozilla

  I have the following Snippet of code.The hover has a problem in Mozilla - It changes color on hover but some times it does not revert back when we go out.Mind you it only happens sometimes.Also in such cases if I examine the HTML using FireBug I can see that the Extra Class is assigned even after hover is out.It works OK on IE .This is a simplified version Also as you can see I am setting color on the TR.But this does not change the Color on TextBoxes inside TR. • How do I display a jquery dialog box before the entire page is loaded?

  On my site a number of operations can take a long time to complete. When I know a page will take a while to load, I would like to display a progress indicator while the page is loading. Ideally I would like to say something along the lines of: $("#dialog").show("progress.php"); and have that overlay on top of the page that is being loaded (disappearing after the operation is completed). Coding the progress bar and displaying progress is not an issue, the issue is getting a progress indicator to pop up WHILE the page is being loaded. I have been trying to use JQuery's dialogs for this but they only appear after the page is already loaded. This has to be a common problem but I am not familiar enough with JavaScript to know the best way to do this. Here's simple example to illustrate the problem. The code below fails to display the dialog box before the 20 second pause is up. I have tried in Chrome and Firefox. In fact I don't even see the "Please Wait..." text. • Consecutive Tables in Latex

  Hi, I wonder how to place several tables consecutively in Latex? The page with the text right before the first table has a little space but not enough for the first table, so the first table is to be placed on the top of the next page, although I use "\begin{table}[!h]" for it. The second table does not fit into the place in the rest of the page of the first table, so I think I might use longtable for it to span the rest of the page and the top of the next page. Similarly, I use longtable for the third table. The latex code is as follows: ... % some text \begin{table}[!h] \caption{Table 1. \label{tab:1}} \begin{center} \begin{tabular}{c c} ... \end{tabular} \end{center} \end{table} \begin{center} \begin{longtable}{ c c } \caption{Table 2. \label{tab:2}}\\ ... \end{longtable} \end{center} \begin{center} \begin{longtable}{ c c } \caption{Table 3. \label{tab:3}}\\ ... \end{longtable} \end{center} ... % some text In the compiled pdf file it turns out that the order of the tables is messed up. The first table is placed behind the second and third one, and the second one spans the page with text before the tables and the next page with the third one following it. I would like to know how I can make the three tables appear consecutively in order, and there are no space left blank between them and between the text and the tables? Or if what I hope is not possible, what is the best strategy then? Thanks and regards! EDIT: Removing [!h] does not make improvement, the first table is still behind the second and the third.

• Binding key/value pairs loaded from xml

  I want to load key/values configuration pairs stored in XML file. To bind a collection of data i know i need to use the ArrayList class, but the problem is that i want to be able to bind the loaded values using their corresponding keys and not by their indexes in the ArrayList object. For example i want to be able to do this : <mx:Text id="errorText" text="{Config.params['someKey']}" /> instead of : <mx:Text id="errorText" text="{Config.params[0]}" /> where Config.params is ArrayList (obviously i couldn't use ArrayList since it doesn't allow selecting a value by key) So the question is how to bind the key/value pairs loaded form XML. I don't want to go manually set variables, i want to bind them so when they are loaded the are set automatically. Did anyone had to do something like that ?
