  • Tumblr is visiting my blog?

    I have created a blog on Tumblr a few days ago. Looking over the statistics, it seems that Tumblr itself is visiting my website, using different browsers. What is this supposed to mean? Are these real visitors or is it a Tumblr bot? One example: Browser: Chrome 32.0 OS: Win8 Resolution: 1024x768 Location: New York, United States IP Address: Tumblr (66.6.40.249) Referring URL: (No referring link) Other browsers used include: Chrome 20.0.1090.0 Firefox 21 Opera 12.14 Chrome 15.0.861.0 Chrome 32.0.1667.0 Internet Explorer 6 Internet Explorer 9 Opera 12 Opera 12.02 They all use the same screen resolution (1024x768) and have no referrer. The flash version is not set, but they do support javascript. Unfortunately, I don't have the full user agent string.

  • My wireless connection isn't working well

    So this is my problem, I intalled ubuntu 12.04 with the wubi.exe and everything works fine, but my internet connection. When I try to install a program or use firefox, it goes with 24kb/s with a little luck for 1-2 seconds and then my internet terminates and it starts up again after 3-5 mins. Then it goes with an other 24kb/s and this will repeat. The thing is my connection works perfectly with windows. The laptop its running on is a Acer ASPIRE V3-771G. I tryed using a different network adaptor but that didn't help either. Please, some one help me with this. friendly regards, Maikel

    My laptop has both wireless and a wired connection capabilities. Can I connect to a router A using wireless and a separate router B using wired ethernet at the same time without having to switch back and forth? Thanks for replying so quickly. I wish to connect to two separate networks. The wireless connection is to router A which is connected to broadband internet. The wired connection is to router B which I wish to share files and a printer on 1 or 2 other desktops also using wired connections on B and maybe using synergy to have only one keyboard and mouse for 2 desktops. The wireless laptop is the only one required to have internet access.

    When I try to install a software using Ubuntu Software center I get: Failed to download repository information Check Your Internet connection When I try to do a apt get-install something, I get: 407 Proxy Authentication Required I use a proxy server that requires a user-name and a password. I have set my systems proxy manually, by plugging in the required numbers in the Networks proxy and applied it system wide. I guess the problem now is plugging in my user-name and password. When I use INTERNET via Mozilla, it specifically asks me for my user-name and password.

  • Couldnt find a way to open blender software

    I am new to Ubuntu. I downloaded the latest version of Blender (2.70a) from official blender.org site as an tar.bz2 file. My Ubuntu OS is 14.04 LTS amd64 bit os, and I am sure that I have downloaded the correct version of blender. I have read that for security reasons, Ubuntu does not allow executing exe files. Since the downloaded package contains blender as an executable/x-executable type, it is not able to execute. I do not have an internet connection in that computer too. Also the "Allow executing file as program" checkbox is checked by default. Still double clicking it does not execute the file. Can anyone say how to open this file? P.S: Wine also checked but requires active internet connection, which I dont have.

    Since a few years ago I stopped listening to CDs and began to listen to mp3 only. At the begining I continued to buy the CDs to support the artist, but later I started to buy the album direct online as mp3. The problem is, that by this, I don't have the lyrics for the songs. For the "commercial" or popular music it is not a big problem, but for others there are no lyrics on the Internet. How can I make use of the ID3-tag for the lyrics? Is there a music store that adds lyrics to the mp3 files sold? Can this be done with Ubuntu One? Another alternative would be to have an Internet lyrics databases like musixmatch.com supported.

    so today i popped out my hdd with ubuntu on it and put in a fresh hdd and installed win8 (wanted to try it). i got everything installed, upp and running and decided to go back to ubuntu (for obvious reasons lol) but when i boot back into ubuntu my internet connection will not connect. i booted into a live cd of ubuntu and it still would not work. i thought i blew up my onboard port so i booted back into win8 and the internet worked without flaw. so i booted back into my ubuntu install and i have a usb to ethernet adapter that im using but i still cant get my onboard to connect. any ideas?

    I am having an intermittent issue that is appearing on one server only, and is causing all MVC pages to fail to load with the error "An item with the same key has already been added."   • SSRS Export to Excel not working through VPN (Juniper SA4000)

    We have a SharePoint (MOSS 2007 on Win2003 R2) with SSRS reports (from SQL 2005) embedded in it. When we connect to the SharePoint portal through our VPN (firewall is Juniper SA4000) and using Internet Explorer (6, 7, and 8) and try to export any SSRS report under Excel, we get an error message: Internet Explorer cannot download . Internet Explorer was not able to open the internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. When not using the VPN (LAN from the office), everything (exporting under Excel) works fine. When using Firefox through the VPN, it works fine. When exporting to any other format (pdf or text or whatever), everything is fine under both IE and FF. Our firewall people suspect something in SSRS/MOSS/Office. Our MOSS consultants suspect something in the firewall Juniper SA4000.     Sometimes when I call ShowDialog on an OpenFileDialog Window in WPF, the dialog closes immediately with a return value of false. I'm calling ShowDialog in response to a button click event.     I think the default dir gets a trailing slash. But what if the user selects a different directory? Is there a way for the INSTALLDIR to NOT have a trailing slash? It's not that I want it to not have a trailing slash. I want to know if I can count on it, so that, for example, [INSTALLDIR]Filter.dll ...will always resolve to a real, valid filesystem path. Currently I use [INSTALLDIR]\Filter.dll and I get a double-slash in there. It's valid and resolves, but I'd like to eliminate the double slash. thanks.

The first is a web application, the second is a search server - they are located on different development servers, not in the same node, cell, or JVM, although they are on the same physical box. I'm doing the JNDI lookup via IIOP, and the URL I am using is as follows: iiop://searchserver:2819 In my hosts file, I've set searchserver to 127.0.0.1. The ports for my search server are bound to this hostname too. However, when the web app (that uses Spring btw) attempts to lookup the search EJB, it fails with the following error. This is driving me nuts, surely this kind of comms between the servers should be fairly simple to get working. I've checked the ports and they are correct.     I have created a new ActionFilter for an ASP.NET MVC application that I'm creating. I have an action which accepts an Http Post and the argument of the action method accepts an object, for which I have created and registered a custom model binder. I noticed that inside the IActionFilter.OnActionExecuting the value for filterContext.Controller.ViewData.Model is always null despite the fact that it looks like the model binder is always invoked before the action filter OnActionExecuting method. In contrast to this inside the IActionFilter.OnActionExecuted method of the same action filter the value for filterContext.Controller.ViewData.Model is not null. Any easy way to do this without iterating through the objects in the vhost delete?

    If you create a Filter object that contains criteria for Linq that normally goes in a where clause like this: var myFilterObject = FilterFactory.GetBlank(); myFilterObject.AddCondition("Salary", "lessThan", "40000"); var myResult = myRepository.GetEmployees(myFilterObject); How would you match the Linq field to the Field Name without using a big case statement? return from e in db.Employee where e.Salary < 40000 select new IList<EmployeeViewModel> { Name= e.name, Salary= e.Salary }; I assume you need to send an object to the Repository that specifies filtering so that you only pull what records you need. I assume Linq doesn't pre-compile (unless you create a customized delegate and function), so you should be able to dynamically specify which fields you want to filter. It would be nice if you could do something like e["Salary"] like some type of Expando Object.

  • QGraphicsView and eventFilter

    Hello everyone, This has been bugging me for more than two days now, so i thought i should ask. I am using Qt 4.5.3 (compiled with VC2008) on Win7. I have MyGraphicsView (inherits QGraphicsView) and MyFilter (inherits QObject) classes. When i install the MyFilter object as an event filter to MyGraphicsView, Mouse events are delivered to MyFilter after they are delivered to MyGraphicsView whereas Key events are delivered to MyFilter before they are delivered to MyGraphicsView. In the second case, i install the MyFilter object as an event filter to MyGraphicsView-viewport() (which is a standart QGLWidget), Mouse events are delivered to MyFilter before they are delivered to MyGraphicsView, whereas Key events are delivered to only MyGraphicsView. The events are supposed to be delivered to event filters before they are delivered to the actual object, so why is this happening? What should i do to ensure this order? Thanks in advance.   • apache syslog-ng error logs and access logs

    I am trying to send all my apache logs to syslog-ng(on remote machine) which in turn writes to a file. so I configure syslog-ng this way source s_apache { unix-stream("/var/log/apache_log.socket" max-connections(512) keep-alive(yes)); }; filter f_apache { match("error"); }; destination df_custom { file("/var/log/custom.log"); }; log { source(s_apache); filter(f_apache); destination(df_custom); }; and add the following line to apache2.conf ErrorLog "|/usr/bin/logger -t 'apache' -u /var/log/apache_log.socket" but only logs being written to "/var/log/custom.log" are [Mon Jul 13 17:24:36 2009] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down and [Mon Jul 13 17:26:11 2009] [notice] Apache/2.2.11 (Ubuntu) configured -- resuming normal operations I want all logs to be sent to custom.log..... Please help me.... where am I going wrong?
