• dojo/dijit ContentPane setting content

  I am trying append some XML retrieved via a dojo.XHRGet to a dijit.layout.ContentPane. Everything works ok in Firefox (3.6) but in Chrome, I only get back 'undefined' in the particular ContentPane.   hi, i am trying to show a list of users of my application "school", when admin logs in then he can view all the users in list but when school principals logins, he should get only users of his school, So i thought to get the current loggedIn userId first and then by that userId i'll get schoolId since userId is foreign key in school table...once i'll get the schoolId i can show the members of that school. But my problem is how to get the UserID of currently loggedIn. I'm using MVC 1.0 Asp.Net -- "Membership" if my logic above is wrong then please tell me the alternate good idea, so that principal can see only his users list..

• horizontal scrolling only!

  Hi all i have a that contains a HORIZONTAL menu. the menu consists of an unordered list. i would like the div to get a horizontal scroller whenever the menu exceeds the width of the <div>. i tried using these CSS definitions for my <div>: position: absolute; width: 380px; overflow: auto; overflow-y: hidden; height: 30px; but than realized that since the menu is LIST, the different list items break the line whenever they reach the width of the <div> and move on to the next line, thus the browser doesnt see the need for a horizontal scroller (it doesnt display a vertical one as well because of the overflow-y: hidden; line) any ideas how i can create a 1 line horizontal menu which will scroll horizontally only? thank you all so much.

Clicking the Flash container in Firefox will work Perfectly fine. You should get alert boxes in this order containing: span, div and body. Flash bubbles the event to the HTML. But this is not happening in IE. So why is Flash in IE not bubbling events to HTML? Edit: As mentioned by Andy E this behavior can also bee seen in Google Chrome which to my knowledge is not using ActiveX to embed the flash movie into the page.

After the post the same page is shown on which this drop down is present. I want to know about the HTML attribute for the drop down which will let me preserve the list selection change. But as of now the list shows its first element after the post. e.g. The dropdoen contains elements like 1,2,3,etc. By default 1 is selected. If I select 2, the post is invoked and the same page is shown again but my selection 2 goes and 1 is selected again. How can preserve the selection? Thanks, Kapil

On my local server I could run bconsole and the server responds but when I run bconsole or bat on my windows client the server does not respond. So far I am accomplishing it like this: <div style="float: left"> <table> ... </table> </div> <div style="float: right; overflow: scroll; width: 1000px"> <pre> ... </pre> </div> However, I don't like that I have to specify an absolute width in the 2nd div. I just want the 1st div to be the minimum width to display the table and 2nd div to take up the rest of the space without overflowing. Is there a better way?

I wanted as 2 objects, with the below format. {"partyTo":[ {"partyId":12 , "partyName":"Ar"}, {"partyId":9 , "partyName":"Sr"} ] } I'm getting 4 objects, probably because I use an array to build JSON.   Hi all, I currently have an SQL query which is currently called multiple times like this (pseudo code): foreach(KeyValuePair kvp in someMapList) { select col1 from table where col2 = kvp.key and col3 = kvp.value; //do some processing on the returned value } The above could obviously call the database a large number of times if it is a big list of pairs. Can anyone think of a more efficient piece of SQL which could essentially return a list of specific values based on a list of two unique pieces of information so that the processing can be done in bulk? One obvious one would be to build up a big piece of SQL with ORs but this would probably be quite inefficient? Thanks Carl

  I am creating a library API which will take the backup of all the VM's running on KVM hypervisor. My VM's can be of any type. I am taking this backup from a remote machine and need to put the backup at remote server. I have KVM, Libvirt installed on my system. Some of my VM's are LVM based and some are normal VM's running on KVM. I research and found out an excellent perl script for taking the backup http://pof.eslack.org/2010/12/23/best-solution-to-fully-backup-kvm-virtual-machines/ but since I am developing this library in C++ I cannot use it however it has given me a good understanding of how it will work. One thing I didnot able to sort out is if my VM's are not created using virt-manager or are created using any other tool them virsh system list command does not give them in the list of running VM's however they are running perfectly on my KVM server. Is there a way to list these VM's in my system list anyhow? secondly, when I am taking backup from the remote machine I am getting out of my ssh mode as soon as my libvirt command finishes and for every command I need to ssh again, Is there a way that I do not need to ssh each and every time? I have already used the rsa key for ssh but when once my command finishes my control moves to the remote machine again and try to find out my source VM location in remote machine's local drives which in turn fails it. here is the main problem I am facing. also for the LVM based VM I am able to take the live backup but for non LVM based my machines are getting suspended and not been able to take the live backup. Since my library will work on the remote machine only I might not know the VM's configruation on the KVM server. so need to make it consistent for all the VM's. Please share any thing related to this issue so that I may be able to take the live backup of the non lvm vm's also. I'll update my working and any research findings time to time to all of you. • What is causing a Hibernate SQL query exception?

  Hi all and sorry in advance for this post but I've spent way too much time going around in circles so I'm hoping someone could shed a light on it here for me. I updated a webapp on Tomcat and I'm getting the following error which didn't exist on the previous version. Though I am quite confident that the part of code I modifed isn't to blame as I have tested the app on two different dev servers. The production server is configured thus: CentOS 5.4 virtual server with tomcat 5.5.23 running mysql 5.0.77. The two dev servers are: Windows XP SP2 running tomcat 5.5.23 with mysql 5.1.49 Mac OSX 10.6.6 Running tomcat 6 with mysql 5.1.51 The application was developed using struts (1.1 as far as I can gather) with hibernate 3 as the peristence layer. It only fails on the production server for some reason I can't fathom. I'd like to draw your attention to the java.sql.SQLException near the bottom. After some long searching I found this but because it was posted years ago (about 1 year before development started on this app I'm sure Hibernate has evolved from that version. as I can't find a way of implementing his solution. I use Eclipse Helios as an IDE.
