    I am writing a client - server system in which I used NON-BLOCKING sockets. My problem is to detect error { while performing send() or write() } that may occur while data transfer. Example lets say, while the data is being transferred the peer crashes. Another case there is some network problem, something like wire unplugged etc. As of now, I am using a high level ACK, that peer sends after receiving the complete data. Ripunjay Tripathi

    That is detect when the user makes web part changes and selects to exit editing the page. I want to be able to capture a page event, then create a SharePoint task to instruct a user to translate that page to another language (note that MOSS and variations is not an option because the client wants to use the free version of SharePoint). So the customer wants essentially the same WSS site in multiple languages.

In this login i call the loogout() client side from hyperlink: Sys.Services.AuthenticationService.logout(null,onLogoutCompleted,null,null); return false; My Webservice make : [WebMethod] public void Logout() { FormsAuthentication.SignOut(); } logout work but my page make one big postback. Some way to make NO postback at logout? Thanks

    I am creating a secure document portal for a client. One of the things that they are worried about is having someone upload a document with a virus. One solution that might work is to enforce that they only upload pdf files. My question is two fold: Most importantly, is a pdf document virus proof? The transferring is working fine, but I would like to display to the user what transfer rate they are getting. So I know the total size of the file, and how much of the file has been transferred, is there a way to figure out the transfer rate from this information, and if not, what information do I need to calculate the transfer rate?   • How can I track an asp.net pages size without tracing?

    I want to be able to track the amount of data that is being transfered from my web site to each user that accesses the site. I can do this for file downloads and such but what about the pure html content itself. How can I track the output size of a page (or the data that's trasnfered via an AJAX call) to the client and log it against a particular users session? Also how would this differ when GZip is used in IIS 6.0?
