  • Caching ASP.NET AJAX service javascript proxies

    We have a number of small but useful WCF services which are being hosted using the WebScriptServiceHostFactory class and consumed via ASP.NET AJAX. We've noticed that in our production environment that the javascript proxies are not being cached by the client. Is there anyway to allow these files to be cached?

    Hi, we are having MVC web application. some of the code is in javascript. when we deploy any changes to the javascript the changes are not reflected on the client side. We have to ask clients to do CTRL+F5 to get the changes. Is there a standard way of pushing javascript changes to the clientside?

  • How to send IM message like Skype in Android ?

For this I have installed skype lite client for Android (although offically the download has been currently withdrawn from Skype). Now how to initiate the activity from my application OR simply send the chat message without bringing it front, assuming I have skype installed in Android & also signed in already. Any help ?   • ActiveMQ - sending message to specific consumer

    Hello. Having single AMQ broker and 100 consumers connected. I would send the message to some specific consumer, so other consumers does not receive it (client-side filtering won't work). Simplest way is to create virtual destinations (name them queue:consumer-) for example and send messages there. However this will lead to 100 new queues which makes it more complex to monitor. Is there any other way to do this having single queue?

The requirement is that once the application has been installed , user should not be able to edit the system time/date .     I am curious about the IDs that are used to identify items in winqual. I assume it is some sort of hash. Is this published? Hash of the module name, its version and an offset? That seems appropriate but the size is too small to cover the possibilities unless some truncation/lossy algorithm is used. This seems to be generated with the minidump on the client machine.

The transferring is working fine, but I would like to display to the user what transfer rate they are getting. So I know the total size of the file, and how much of the file has been transferred, is there a way to figure out the transfer rate from this information, and if not, what information do I need to calculate the transfer rate?     Basically I'm trying to proxy some webservices locally (for reasons I won't go into now) and then have a Java application call it. I'm looking at BlazeDS since it seems to do just this, mostly to avoid the crossDomain.xml file required by Flex to call webservices. However I can't seem to find any reference on how to connect through a Java client (probably using Axis2). Any suggestions, and especially tutorials, would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: I came to know that "only the application which owns the connected socket should close it, which will happen when the application terminates."     I'd like to implement the group by features for the default grid as it's available for the commercial grid like devexpress/infragistics et al, if you want a sample, see the 2nd image on http://www.devexpress.com/Products/NET/Controls/WinForms/Grid/dataoperations.xml I'd think there's some pattern or better yet some opensource/free grid which does this already, if not, i would probably implement it if i can find the time (doubtful ! and esp since it's available so easily in most packages, if only i can convince the client to pay for a license ) & want to get some ideas/patterns on the same

  • TCPDF Auto Page Break Not Working if Widths set

    I have a very specific 2 column layout I'm trying to set up for a client using TCPDF. AutoPageBreak works fine if you're sending text to a page with writeHTML and multiCell at the default width of the page.     When dealing with websites with large amount of javascript, i see that these are still usually served to the client as one large javascript file. In the development phase, are the javascript files usually split up (say there are 300 lines of js) to make things abit more manageable, and then merged when the website is 'put live'? Or do the developers just put up with working in one long large file?

    Hi, I got some file sample.mt from client, and when i open info, it reveals as UNIX Executable file. But, actually when i replaced the extension with zip, i could extract the file content. And it appears to be folder. Can any one say what exactly UNIX Executable file means and how is it created. By the way, that is created in Windows OS it seems.
