  • CKEditor createFakeParserElement: writeHtml is not a function

    - by Phil Sturgeon
    I am trying to write a plugin for CKEditor that is basically just a iframe with PHP content. The user browses around, selects the video they want and then they click insert. The problem is that I need to create a "fake element" for this video, as inserting a video directly seems to show up as a Flash object, and we need to make it look a little different. I have copied together some code from the Flash plugin.js (remember this is all undocumented and uncommented) and so far come up with this: function insertFakeElement( html ) { editor = window.parent.instance; var realElement = CKEDITOR.dom.element.createFromHtml( html ); var fakeElement = editor.createFakeParserElement( realElement, 'cke_video', 'object', true ), fakeStyle = fakeElement.attributes.style || ''; var width = realElement.attributes.width, height = realElement.attributes.height; if ( typeof width != 'undefined' ) fakeStyle = fakeElement.attributes.style = fakeStyle + 'width:' + cssifyLength( width ) + ';'; if ( typeof height != 'undefined' ) fakeStyle = fakeElement.attributes.style = fakeStyle + 'height:' + cssifyLength( height ) + ';'; editor.insertHTML(fakeElement.getHtml()); } The line "giving me jip" is: var fakeElement = editor.createFakeParserElement( realElement, 'cke_video', 'object', true ), It errors here saying: l.writeHtml is not a function [Break on this error] if(o)o.addRules(l);}});})();a.editor.p..."',o,'_text" The .js file is minified and I have no idea how the source files all fit together so I can't track down the cause of this error. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

  • How to embed AsciiMathML in Google Sites?

    - by Joannes Vermorel
    We would need to embed mathematical formulas through AsciiMathML into Google Sites pages (internal wiki for a research team). I am stuck with the limitation of Google Sites. Any idea how to do that? (ps: I have finally found a poorly practical work-around, but better ideas would still be appreciated)

  • How to avoid double divide in loop?

    - by ignaty
    Thank you for your help. My code looks like: var CatItems = ""; for(var x=0; x < data.PRODUCTS.length; x++) { if (x % 3 === 0) CatItems += '<li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-'+[x]+' jcarousel-item-'+[x]+'-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal">'; CatItems += '<div><a class="large_image" href="#"><img src="'+ data.PRODUCTS[x].product_img +'" alt="' + data.PRODUCTS[x].product_name +'"></a><h3 class="geo_17_darkbrown">' + data.PRODUCTS[x].product_name +'</h3>'; if ( data.PRODUCTS[x].product_onsale==1 ) { CatItems += '<img alt="sale" src="assets/images/sale.gif" class="sale"><span class="geo_17_red_linethr">&pound;'+ data.PRODUCTS[x].product_retailprice +'</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;<span class="price geo_17_darkbrown">&pound;'+ data.PRODUCTS[x].product_webprice +'</span>'; } else { CatItems += '<span class="price geo_17_darkbrown">&pound;'+ data.PRODUCTS[x].product_webprice +'</span>'; } if ( data.PRODUCTS[x].product_COLOURS ) { CatItems += '<span class="colour">'; for(var y=0; } CatItems += '</span>'; } CatItems += '</div>'; if (x % 3 === 2) CatItems += '</li>'; } and it generates this: <div class="carousel_00 jcarousel-container jcarousel-container-horizontal" style="position: relative; It divide "x" inside the loop. For example in JS: <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-'+[x]+' jcarousel-item-'+[x]+'-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal"> And HTML out is: <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-0 jcarousel-item-0-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal"></li> then <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-3 jcarousel-item-3-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal"></li> then <li class="jcarousel-item jcarousel-item-horizontal jcarousel-item-6 jcarousel-item-6-horizontal jcarousel-item-placeholder jcarousel-item-placeholder-horizontal"></li> etc... What I need is that count goes as 0-1-2-3-4-5-etc, but with divide it goes 0-3-6-etc and jCarousel insert blank li's 1-2, 4-5, 7-8. How I can avoid "x" divide inside the loop? Tnak you!

  • Canvas context used but not updated on canvas

    - by John Doe
    I am developing an small html5 game, where I have the following code: if(object.blocks){ var blocks = object.blocks, that = this; each(blocks,function(index){ that.blocks.push(new Block(this[index])); }); } I receive an object with some configuration and instantiate blocks with it. It works fine, but the Block class has an method, called draw: this.draw = function (ctx){ if(ctx){ var colors = ['#FF0000','#FFFF00','#0000FF','#00FF00'], color = Math.round(Math.random() * colors.length-1); ctx.fillStyle = colors[color]; ctx.fillRect(this.x,this.y,this.width,this.height); } }; It was working before I moved it into the Block class, but now it draws nothing. This is the code that calls draw: render: function(ctx){ each(this.blocks,function(index){ this[index].draw(ctx); }); } The context comes from the html page, from the main canvas.

  • jquery animate and image resize flickering

    - by denadai2
    Hi, i've a problem with a resize effect that i've done in http://www.mcz-scenario.it. When you click on a language, you can see the "background" image transferring into a certain position of the screen. this is the image: <img id="lago" src="http://www.mcz-scenario.it/images/lago.jpg" height="1070" width="1600" alt="lago" /> And this is the "resize" effect $("#lago").animate({ height: 148, width: 264, top: endPosition2.top+42, left: endPosition2.left+350+26}, 4000); Now... I see some flickering running this animation in Firefox. How can i handle this? Is it normal because the image is too large? Help me please :( THX

  • JQuery UI: Disable accordion tab?

    - by Rosarch
    I have a JQuery UI accordion that contains different parts of the user workflow. I would like to disable accordion "tabs" that the user hasn't reached yet. (So if the user hasn't signed in yet, he can't yet publish content, etc.) Then, as the user completes the necessary steps, more tabs will become enabled. Is there a way to do this? This doesn't work, even as a way to prevent any tabs from changing: $("#accordion").accordion({ changestart: function(event, ui) { return false; } });

  • Trigger event after GDirections.loadFromWaypoints in Google Maps API

    - by Soldarnal
    I'm attempting to add some text to the directions results the Google Maps API returns to the specified div (directionsPanel). This code below would work fine, except that the jQuery line fires before loadFromWaypoints has finished modifying the DOM. If I run that line by manually triggering it after the directions content has finished loading, it executes as expected. directions = new GDirections(map, directionsPanel); directions.loadFromWaypoints(waypoints); $("td[@jscontent='address']").append(" some content"); How can I add some sort of listener (on perhaps either the loadFromWaypoints callback function or the directionsPanel div itself) to execute my jQuery line after the DOM has finished reloading?

  • JQuery ajax request returns error and status 0

    - by Kucebe
    I use this pseudo-class to make ajax request to server: function RequestManager(url, params, success, error){ //save this ajax configuration this._ajaxCall = null; this._url= url; this._type = params.type; this._timer = params.timer || 0; this._success = function(){ alert("ok"); }; this._error = function(){ alert("ko"); }; } RequestManager.prototype = { require : function(tag){//here there will be a tag object in array format if(this.timer>0){ //wait this.timer } if(this.ajaxCall != null ){ this.ajaxCall.abort(); this.ajaxCall = null; } var self = this; this.ajaxCall = $.ajax({ url: this._url, type: this._type, data: tag, success: function(xmlResponse){ var responseArray = []; var response = _extractElements(xmlResponse, arrayResponse); self._success(response); }, error: self._error, complete : function(xhr, statusText){ alert(xhr.status); return null; } }); } When i instantiate a new object, and i use it to load a request, it always return to me error, and status code is 0. Server correctly generates an xml document. Why i can't get a correct 200 code back?

  • [ext js] Renderer for ColumnTree?

    - by Chris Cowdery-Corvan
    Hello! I'm trying to add a custom renderer to a ColumnTree in Ext JS. Since it appears(?) that this isn't supported, does anyone know of any workaround to use a renderer? Here's a snippet of code - let's just say (hypothetically) that I have a renderer I'd like to use for the documentsVersion tab below - does anyone have any ideas? return new Ext.tree.ColumnTree({ autoHeight: false, rootVisible: showRoot, autoScroll: false, id: (!treeId)? window.mainTreeId: treeId, loader: (!loader)?window.docTreeLoader:loader, columns: [{ header:"${documentsTitle}", width: windowWidth * 0.40 }, { header:"${documentsVersion}", width: windowWidth * 0.10, dataIndex:'version' }, Thanks!

  • Reverse geocoding with Google Maps API

    - by user296516
    I have found this code for reverse geocoding: var point = new GLatLng (lat[1],long[1]); var geocoder = new GClientGeocoder(); geocoder.getLocations (point, function(result) { alert (lat[1]+' '+long[1]+' '+result.address); }); But it pops the alert, saying that result.address is 'undefined'. Any ideas, what could be the problem?

  • How to resize a Flot graph when its containing div changes size

    - by Will Gorman
    I'm using the Flot graphing library jQuery plugin and I haven't found a good way to handle resizing the graph when it's containing <div> changes size (for example, due to window resizing). When handling the onresize event, I've made sure that the width and height of the containing <div>are updated to the correct size and then tried calling both setupGrid and draw on the plot object but with no effect. I've had some success with the approach of just removing and readding the containing <div> and replotting the graph in it. However, this seems to be prone to getting stuck in infinite resize event loops if I have to add other <div> elements to the document at the same time (like for tooltips for the graph) as I'm guessing those can trigger resize events as well? Is there a good way to handle it that I'm missing? (I'm also using ExplorerCanvas for IE in order to be able to use Flot, if that might have anything to do with it. I haven't really tried in any other browsers yet)

  • Post Loading ads - using appendChild to move an IFRAME with text link ads

    - by Prem
    I have changed code around to basically load an add the bottom of the page in a hidden div and attached an onload event handler that called document.getElementById(xxx).appendChild() to take the hidden ad and move it into the right spot in my page. This works GREAT.. however when the ad is a text ad it AFTER i move the ad there is nothing in the rendered Iframe. I did tests to see what it looks like before i move it and sure enough the text links load in the IFRAME but the second i do the appendChild call to move the div that contains the ad i seem to loose the contents of the Iframe. Any ideas whats going on <div id="myad" style="display: none;"> GA_googleFillSlot("MyADSlotName"); </div> <script> window.onload = function() { // leader board document.getElementById('adplaceholder').appendChild(document.getElementById('myAd')); document.getElementById('myAd').style.display = ''; </script> UPDATE: I think what the problem here is that on text ads google writes to the iframe directly inserting the relevant text links where are on other ads it uses the iframe to just point to some src. seems like when i do the appendchild, if there is no "src" set for the iframe after the copy is done the iframe in the new location contains nothing... guess it does a reload on the src? Any way around this??

  • UIImageWriteToSavedPhotosAlbum not working in iOS 4?

    - by nickthedude
    Ive been using this function: (http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/uikit/reference/UIKitFunctionReference/Reference/reference.html#//apple_ref/c/func/UIImageWriteToSavedPhotosAlbum) ...to save a uiimage to the users photo album and it works great on everything except a 4.0 simulator, dont have a device to test on so it may be boned there as well. ive also tried it in both the latest xcode (3.2.3 gm seed) and a previous build of 3.2.3. can anyone confirm that this is still function is still "functional" in iOS 4. the documentation gives no indication that it would be removed and I havent seen anything in searches related to it. Thanks, Nick

  • Highlight a word with jQuery

    - by nickf
    I basically need to highlight a particular word in a block of text. For example, pretend I wanted to highlight the word "dolor" in this text: <p> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. </p> <p> Quisque bibendum sem ut lacus. Integer dolor ullamcorper libero. Aliquam rhoncus eros at augue. Suspendisse vitae mauris. </p> How do I convert the above to something like this: <p> Lorem ipsum <span class="myClass">dolor</span> sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. </p> <p> Quisque bibendum sem ut lacus. Integer <span class="myClass">dolor</span> ullamcorper libero. Aliquam rhoncus eros at augue. Suspendisse vitae mauris. </p> Is this possible with jQuery? Edit: As Sebastian pointed out, this is quite possible without jQuery - but I was hoping there might be a special method of jQuery which would let you do selectors on the text itself. I'm already using jQuery heavily on this site, so keeping everything wrapped up in jQuery would make things perhaps a bit more tidy.

  • Hybrid static/dynamic Google Map

    - by jonathanconway
    Ever noticed that when you go to maps.google.com and do a search (say, car wash), it renders a lot of results (represented by small circles) and a few prominent ones (seen as regular-size pins)? Notice how quickly it does this? From what I can tell from analyzing this in Firebug, much of this is generated on the server and sent to the client as a static image. However, it's still dynamic. You can still zoom in and out, or click on a result and see a dynamic InfoWindow rendered. Google have made the map quick and smooth using static images, while still making it flexible. Is there a way to do this kind of 'pre-loading' with my own Google Map (implemented with the Google Maps API)?

  • Validation plugin hijacks click function?

    - by timkl
    Absolute newbie question, any help is highly appreciated :) I am using curvycorners (http://www.curvycorners.net/) in combination with the jQuery validation plugin (http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation/), and I'm having problems getting the div to redraw the rounded corners when I do like this: $("input[type='submit']").click(function(e) { curvyCorners.redraw(); }); When I click the submit-button the first time the form validates, the validation error-message pops up and expands the div, causing the layout to go ugly. However when I click on it the second time the rounded corners redraw nicely. Could it be that my validation plugin hijacks my initial click? How do I go about this? Any hint is very much appreciated.

  • Rotating images + content - jQuery or MooTools?

    - by Lenwood
    I've found a feature on two different websites that I'd like to include on one of my web projects, but I can't figure out how they're doing it. I think they're using either jQuery or mootools, but I'm not sure. http://www.x-plane.com/index_desktop.html I'm new here so I don't have the reputation to post the other link, but if you do a Google search for "Andrews Institute of Orthopaedics" its the top result. I'll see if I can answer a few questions to earn my keep. The thing that I like about these is that the images and text (including links) are all rotated together. I've done a few web searches related to cycle, rotate and slide but it's not coming together for me. Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?

  • How to stop event bubbling with jquery live?

    - by chobo2
    Hi I am trying to stop some events but stopPropagation does not work with "live" so I am not sure what to do. I found this on their site. Live events do not bubble in the traditional manner and cannot be stopped using stopPropagation or stopImmediatePropagation. For example, take the case of two click events - one bound to "li" and another "li a". Should a click occur on the inner anchor BOTH events will be triggered. This is because when a $("li").bind("click", fn); is bound you're actually saying "Whenever a click event occurs on an LI element - or inside an LI element - trigger this click event." To stop further processing for a live event, fn must return false It says that fn must return false so what I tried to do $('.MoreAppointments').live('click', function(e) { alert("Hi"); return false; }); but that did not work so I am not sure how to make it return false. Update Here is some more information. I have a table cell and I bind a click event to it. $('#CalendarBody .DateBox').click(function(e) { AddApointment(this); }); So the AddApointment just makes some ui dialog box. Now the live code(MoreAppointments) sits in this table cell and is basically an anchor tag. So when I click on the anchor tag it first goes to the above code(addApointment - so runs that event first) runs that but does not launch my dialog box instead it goes straight to the (MoreAppointment) event and runs that code. Once that code has run it launches the dialog box from "addApointment". Update 2 Here is some of the html. I did not copy the whole table since it is kinda big and all the cells repeat itself with the same data. If needed I will post it. <td id="c_12012009" class="DateBox"> <div class="DateLabel"> 1</div> <div class="appointmentContainer"> <a class="appointments">Fkafkafk fakfka kf414<br /> </a><a class="appointments">Fkafkafk fakfka kf414<br /> </a><a class="appointments">Fkafkafk fakfka kf414<br /> </a><a class="appointments">Fkafkafk fakfka kf414<br /> </a><a class="appointments">Fkafkafk fakfka kf414<br /> </a> </div> <div class="appointmentOverflowContainer"> <div> <a class="MoreAppointments">+1 More</a></div> </div> </td>
