can anyone give me the procedure for building a blogslib library containing code in vc++ 2008 edition? the official documentation gives it for vc++ 2006...
thanks...
Is there a hash function that returns a 16-digit hex value (as MD5 returns 32-digit), or is there a library (for C++) in which I can use MD5 or SHA-1 which returns a 16-digit value
I need to resize images and resample them so they don't end up all jagged (I think that's called aliasing).
I found some code (sorry, lost the link) that does this in pure VB6 code but it's a bit slow (2-5 seconds) and I'm displaying pictures in real time so I need something faster.
I seem to recall seeing some examples of doing this with the GDI+ library. An example in VB6 would be ideal, but I can probably work with a simple example with Windows API calls in another language.
When I have a problem I often search the computing literature.
Some of the resources[*] I use are:
The professional associations?
ACM Digital Library
IEEE Xplore
The scientific publishers?
Lecture Notes in Computer Science
HCI Bibliography
What do you use? What is the best resource source (if there is one) for the working programmer?
[*] after stackoverflow and google of course :)
PS what tags should I use for this question?
I want to use a flash movie in another movie, so I import the desired swf into the library. Yet, the swf needs some additional configuration that can be passed as flash vars. How can I specify the flash vars?
I want to write a command line script using Python to access a user's Facebook Notes.
PyFacebook wrapper library doesn't have support for Facebook notes.
Is there any other way I can do this in python? I don't want to learn PHP.
Hi
Using Actionscript and or in the Flash IDE you can either instantiate bitmaps from the library, or simply import bitmaps into the timeline of a MovieClip to create an image sequence.
How would you do the same thing in InterfaceBuilder and-or using ObjectiveC? Do I need to create a new view for each and every image?
Any recommendation on libraries to do audio processing in Ruby. I need to do the following two tasks:
Find silences, for which I'm happy to just be able to iterate over each sample in the wave.
Cut and paste pieces of wav files to form a new wav file.
Convert wav to mp3, which I will probably leave to lame anyway.
I'm looking for the equivalent of NAudio, a C# library.
Where can I find the source code of something like this (Google Map API):
http://gmaps-utility-library.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/labeledmarker/1.1/examples/airportmap.html
What's the easiest way of marking spots in a Google Map API (embedded in my web site), according to a list of places and dates?
Is there anything like this in the standard library? I've looked but haven't found it.
It needs to be like a list (preserves order) but also like a set (elements can only appear once).
So if you give it ['a', 'b', 'a'] it should return ['a', 'b']
Thanks!
I'm looking to develop my first Facebook application and therefore looking for some advice on where to get started.
I've spent a few hours browsing Facebook's Developer Wiki, Facebooker library, looking at the sample chapters in "Developing Facebook Applications with Rails" by Pragmatic Programmers, etc.
Since FB is constantly changing their API, and Facebook Connect is newer than the aforementioned book, does anyone have any advice on where to get started?
I'm calling the twitter4j library using Clojure like so:
(def twitter (. (TwitterFactory.) getInstance))
This works fine when I call it as a script. But when I use gen-class, I get:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Can't call public method of non-public class: public java.lang.Object twitter4j.TwitterFactoryBase.getInstance()
Is there a workaround for this?
Is there any fast method to make a transposition of a rectangular 2D matrix in Python (non-involving any library import).? Say, if I have an array X=[[1,2,3], [4,5,6]] I need an array Y which should be a transposed version of X, so Y=[[1,4],[2,5],[3,6]].
Hi,
Is it possible to debug a windows service or class library without consuming the code in a launchable app? There is a thread about doing this, but the techniques don't work and keep saying "Cannot start service..." as I am using a windows service.
Thanks
I have global static variables in a C library, which generate exceptions in a multithread run. I need to make them safe in some way (i.e., each thread should relate to a different instance of these variables). Any recommended methods?
Hi all, im trying to get image size(DIMENSIONS) of hundreds of remote images and getimagesize is way too slow. ive done some reading and found out the quickest way would be to use get_file_contents to read a certain aount of bytes from the images and examining the size within the binary data. Anyone attempted this before? How would i examine different formats. Seen any library for this? please let me know
How can I produce a similar output in C# window forms in the easiest way?
Each individual points should be "editable" by pressing some keys to increment or decrement and navigate trough it with arrow keys.
Is there a good library for this purpose?
Please recommend a good library to:
1)Programmatically convert any doc to pdf (word, spreadsheet, presentation, images, html, postscript)
2)Programmatically merge multiple pdf’s to a single pdf (ideally, word_doc1+ ppt_doc2 = out.pdf , in one step)
From .NET/c# app
Thanks
I'm coming to C++ from a .Net background. Knowing how to use the Standard C++ Libraries, and all the syntax, I've never ventured further. Now I'm looking learning a bit more, such as what libraries are commonly used? I want to start getting into Threading but have no idea to start. Is there a library (similar to how .net has System.Threading) out there that will make it a bit easier? I'm specifically looking to do Linux based network programming.
I know that C++ has the concept of objects but C doesn't. I also know that pretty much all there is to know about C fits into K & R but the C++ library is vastly more complex. There have got to be other big differences though.
What are the major differences between C and C++?
Does anyone know of a simple javascript library that serializes a form DOM object to JSON? I know jQuery has the serialize method but since I am writing an app for IE mobile, I can't use any of the new fancy libraries, must be oldschool simple javascript, as light as possible.
Cheers
Hi,
I'm writting a program in c# that uses a C++ library, and for some reason I need to allocate an unmanaged buffer to pass it to the lib. Is there a way to do this in c# ?
Basically I would just need to do a malloc in C#...
Thanks
Is there any built in method in the .NET library that will return all of the MX records for a given domain? I see how you get CNAMES, but not MX records.
Hello, i am new in programming under linux and trying to get working this code:
http://scaryreasoner.wordpress.com/2007/11/17/using-ld_preload-libraries-and-glibc-backtrace-function-for-debugging/

what can cause it?
system - Archlinux, kernel 2.6.32
thank you for answers

I've noticed some games in the app store that allow the user to choose background music from their music library (iTunes). As a developer how can I add this functionality to my game?
