  • Papervision 3D: How can I force dimensions on a collada file

    - by imadethisthing
    Hey everyone, I'm working with Collada files and I need them to be a certain size. When instantiating them in pv3d you set the filename, materials, and scale. Scale works like a percentage, and there's no way to get the width, height, or depth of the DAE once in flash. I want to be able to specify the size of DAE in 3D space relative to other pv3d native geometry.

  • Akamai charge questions

    I am wondering if anyone has an simple answer to this. If you hit an Akamai server for an image, but the response is returned with a 304 code instead of a 200, does Akamai charge for the call since no data is returned with a 304 and image is served from the browser cache?

  • CSS3 Hover transition strange behavior

    - by Aleksandar Ivanov
    So I was playing around with transition/hover effects so that's the code. <pre> <code> /* HTML */ section> a href="#" title="button">CLICK!</a> // deleted the lt sign for visibility reasons! a href="#" title="button">CLICK!</a> a href="#" title="button">CLICK!</a> a href="#" title="button">CLICK!</a> /section> /********/ /* CSS */ section{ width: 700px; height: 500px; margin: 250px auto; position: relative; background: #08c; } section a{ border-radius: 51px; background: #e60; line-height: 100px; text-align: center; color: #04e; font-size: 24px; font-weight: bold; font-family: tahoma; text-decoration: none; display: block; width: 100px; height: 100px; } section a:nth-child(1){ position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; -webkit-transition: left 2s ease; } section a:nth-child(2){ position: absolute; top: -100px; right: -100px; -webkit-transition: top 2s ease; } section a:nth-child(3){ position: absolute; bottom: -100px; right: -100px; -webkit-transition: right 2s ease; } section a:nth-child(4){ position: absolute; bottom: -100px; left: -100px; -webkit-transition: bottom 2s ease; } section a:nth-child(1):hover,section a:nth-child(1):focus{ left: 800px; } section a:nth-child(2):hover{ top: 600px; } section a:nth-child(3):hover{ right: 800px; } section a:nth-child(4):hover{ bottom: 600px; } /*******/ </code> </pre> BUT, I stumbled upon a strange thing. When I hover over a link its starts getting to its right position applied by the hover, but at some point (always different) the effect stops and it gets back to its original position! Have anyone seen this and know what is the problem ?

  • How to access Java servlet running on my PC from outside ?

    - by Frank
    I used Netbeans6.7 to write a servlet, when it runs, it opens a browser window with this address : http://localhost:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet, I replaced the "localhost" with my IP address, now it looks like this : http://192.???.1.??:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet, but I tried to access it from another computer outside my home, it can't read anything, I wonder if I need to change Windows Fire Wall setting to allow outside traffic, it's a Paypal IPN app, so I call Paypal, they said they can't access : http://192.???.1.??:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet What on my side should I do to allow traffic from "paypal.com" to access "My_App/Test_Servlet" ? • Auto showing tips and closing popup when lost focus

    - by darkwindkey
    I have two elements: a TextBox, and a Popup, where the popup contains a tree view to show some tips according to text of TextBox. When the textBox got the KeyDown Event, the KeyDown directly executes pup.IsOpen=true to show the popup tips. However, I also want to show the popup tips when the mouse on clicking the TextBox, and auto closing the popups when the mouse click on any place (besides the TextBox and the TreeView in Popup). I have tried some cases but do not works fine. Case1: Add pup.IsOpen=true; in TextBox.PreviewMouseUp, the popup will stay opening, even if I click any other place in the window. Case2: Add pup.IsOpen=true in TextBox.PreviewMouseDown, the popup tips only shows on keep clicking the Mouse. Case3: Using CheckBox with Binding IsChecked to Popup.IsOpen works fine. but the tips is listed according to the content of the TextBox, therefore the checkbox is not editable for user... Here is my code now: <Window x:Class="popUpTesting.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="350" Width="525"> <Grid> <TextBox Name="SearchBox" HorizontalAlignment="Center" TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="TextBox" VerticalAlignment="Center" KeyDown="SearchBox_KeyDown" PreviewMouseUp="SearchBox_PreviewMouseUp" /> <Popup Placement="Bottom" AllowsTransparency="True" PopupAnimation="Fade" StaysOpen="false" x:Name="pup" PlacementTarget="{Binding ElementName=SearchBox}" IsOpen="False" > <Grid> <TreeView HorizontalAlignment="Left" Height="200" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="200"> <TreeViewItem Header="A"> <TreeViewItem Header="A1"/> </TreeViewItem> <TreeViewItem Header="B"></TreeViewItem> <TreeViewItem Header="C"></TreeViewItem> <TreeViewItem Header="D"></TreeViewItem> </TreeView> </Grid> </Popup> </Grid> </Window> and the event functions: private void SearchBox_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) { pup.IsOpen = true; } private void SearchBox_PreviewMouseUp(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { pup.IsOpen = true; }

  • CSharp: Testing a Generic Class

    - by Jonas Gorauskas
    More than a question, per se, this is an attempt to compare notes with other people. I wrote a generic History class that emulates the functionality of a browser's history. I am trying to wrap my head around how far to go when writing unit tests for it. I am using NUnit. Please share your testing approaches below. The full code for the History class is here (http://pastebin.com/ZGKK2V84).

  • Web P2P video confrence solution

    - by dtroy
    I'm looking for the best possible solution which will allow me to incorporate live video/audio conference between 2 users(only 2 at this point) into a flash gaming platform. The video chat is not just an extra feature, it's the main one. I'm mainly looking at open source implementations or something I'll be able to implement myself, but will consider commercial products if they are exactly what I need. Here are a few things I've looked at, but so far, I didn't find any of them good enough: Flash player 10's P2P capabilities sound promising, but I am aware of the fact that Adobe has not release any information on the RTMFP protocol and that there is no commercial server which supports it at this point. Stream all the video/audio live through a flash server (not p2p), but from my personal experience you don't get a smooth conversation. I think TokBox uses this method Java applets are a possible solution too (to perform p2p), but I don't think it will be a nice and elegant solution to combine them in the game at this point (and requires the user to authorize them). BTW, I couldn't find any useful implementations. So, If you know of any, i'll look into them. Google Gmail Video Chat uses a custom (and proprietary) browser plug-in which does the p2p and streams the video/audio into the flash player. This is a possible solution, but I rather not implement the entire p2p protocol stack + browser plug-in at this stage and concentrate on other aspect of the game itself. I think they are using XMPP based protocol similar to Jingle and they've release a Jingle librarby but without the video confrencing implementation. EDIT: In response to Branden: I am aware of Adobe Stratus. Stratus is a beta, hosted rendezvous service that aids establishing communications between Flash Player endpoints (RTMFP server). This current release of the Stratus is prerelease and is designed for evaluation purposes only. The service is not final. There is no guarantee that the service will continue to exist in the future or any information about the future cost. That's why I don't think it can be used as a commercial solution. At least not yet. I'd appreciate your suggestions and advice. thanks!

  • Script files returning 404 Error.

    - by Seth Duncan
    Hi, I'm using ASP.Net and whenever I create a script file or try to include a script file like jQuery they aren't working. I am doing just a regular localhost server and none of the scripts are working. Upon further examination using firebug I look at whats being referenced in those scripts and it shows html code for a 404 error. I know the scripts and files are there and I can navigate directly to them in the browser but for some reason I can't reference them in my page. Here is a screenshot:

  • doubt regarding carrying data in custom events using actionscript

    - by user267530
    Hi I am working on actionscript to generate a SWF dynamically using JSON data coming from an HTTP request. I receive the data on creationComplete and try to generate a tree like structure. I don’t create the whole tree at the same time. I create 2 levels, level 1 and level 2. My goal is to attach custom events on the panels which represent tree nodes. When users click the panels, it dispatches custom events and try to generate the next level. So, it goes like this : On creation complete - get JSON- create top tow levels - click on level 2- create the level 2 and level 3 - click on level 3- create level 3 and 4. …and so on and so on. I am attaching my code with this email. Please take a look at it and if you have any hints on how you would do this if you need to paint a tree having total level number = “n” where( 0 import com.iwobanas.effects.*; import flash.events.MouseEvent; import flash.filters.BitmapFilterQuality; import flash.filters.BitmapFilterType; import flash.filters.GradientGlowFilter; import mx.controls.Alert; private var roundedMask:Sprite; private var panel:NewPanel; public var oldPanelIds:Array = new Array(); public var pages:Array = new Array();//cleanup public var delPages:Array = new Array(); public function DrawPlaybook(pos:Number,title:String,chld:Object):void { panel = new NewPanel(chld); panel.title = title; panel.name=title; panel.width = 100; panel.height = 80; panel.x=pos+5; panel.y=40; // Define a gradient glow. var gradientGlow:GradientGlowFilter = new GradientGlowFilter(); gradientGlow.distance = 0; gradientGlow.angle = 45; gradientGlow.colors = [0xFFFFF0, 0xFFFFFF]; gradientGlow.alphas = [0, 1]; gradientGlow.ratios = [0, 255]; gradientGlow.blurX = 10; gradientGlow.blurY = 10; gradientGlow.strength = 2; gradientGlow.quality = BitmapFilterQuality.HIGH; gradientGlow.type = BitmapFilterType.OUTER; panel.filters =[gradientGlow]; this.rawChildren.addChild(panel); pages.push(panel); panel.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, function(e:MouseEvent){onClickHandler(e,title,chld)}); this.addEventListener(CustomPageClickEvent.PANEL_CLICKED, function(e:CustomPageClickEvent){onCustomPanelClicked(e,title)}); } public function onClickHandler(e:MouseEvent,title:String,chld:Object):void { //var panel:Panel; for each(var stp1:NewPanel in pages){ if(stp1.title==title){ var eventObj:CustomPageClickEvent = new CustomPageClickEvent("panelClicked"); eventObj.panelClicked = stp1; dispatchEvent(eventObj); } } } private function onCustomPanelClicked(e:CustomPageClickEvent,title:String):void { //cleanup itself Alert.show("onCustomPanelClicked" + title); var panel:NewPanel; for each(var stp:NewPanel in pages){ startAnimation(e,stp); } if(title == e.panelClicked.title){ panel = new NewPanel(null); panel.title = title; panel.name=title; panel.width = 150; panel.height = 80; panel.x=100; panel.y=40; this.rawChildren.addChild(panel); // var slideRight:SlideRight = new SlideRight(); slideRight.target=panel; slideRight.duration=750; slideRight.showTarget=true; slideRight.play(); //draw the steps var jsonData = this.map.getValue(title); var posX:Number = 50; var posY:Number = 175; for each ( var pnl:NewPanel in pages){ pages.pop(); } for each ( var stp1:Object in jsonData.children){ //Alert.show("map step=" + stp.text ); panel = new NewPanel(null); panel.title = stp1.text; panel.name=stp1.id; panel.width = 100; panel.id=stp1.id; panel.height = 80; panel.x = posX; panel.y=posY; posX+=150; var s:String="hi" + stp1.text; panel.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, function(e:MouseEvent){onChildClick(e,s);}); this.addEventListener(CustomPageClickEvent.PANEL_CLICKED, function(e:CustomPageClickEvent){onCustomPnlClicked(e)}); this.rawChildren.addChild(panel); // Alert.show("map step=" + this.getChildIndex(panel) ); // oldPanelIds.push(panel); pages.push(panel); //this.addEventListener(CustomPageClickEvent.PANEL_CLICKED, //function(e:CustomPageClickEvent){onCustomPanelClicked(e,title)}); var slide:SlideUp = new SlideUp(); slide.target=panel; slide.duration=1500; slide.showTarget=false; slide.play(); } } } public function onChildClick(e:MouseEvent,s:String):void { //var panel:Panel; //Alert.show(e.currentTarget.title); for each(var stp1:NewPanel in pages){ if(stp1.title==e.currentTarget.title){ var eventObj:CustomPageClickEvent = new CustomPageClickEvent("panelClicked"); eventObj.panelClicked = stp1; dispatchEvent(eventObj); } } } private function onCustomPnlClicked(e:CustomPageClickEvent):void { for each ( var pnl:NewPanel in pages){ pages.pop(); } //onCustomPanelClicked(e,e.currentTarget.title); //Alert.show("hi from cstm" + e.panelClicked.title); } private function fadePanel(event:Event,panel:NewPanel):void{ panel.alpha -= .005; if (panel.alpha <= 0){ //Alert.show(panel.title); panel.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, function(e:Event){fadePanel(e,panel);}); }; panel.title=""; } private function startAnimation(event:CustomPageClickEvent,panel:NewPanel):void{ panel.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, function(e:Event){fadePanel(e,panel)}); } Thanks in advance.   • Rich Text Editor with Tab and Table Support

    - by Chris W.
    We are developing a project for a client that requires a rich text editor that supports both tables and "real" tabs for indentation. Of the editors we've looked at, both TinyMCE and FreeRichTextEditor are very close fits, but indenting with tab seems to only work in WebKit-based browsers. Is there a (preferably free) cross-browser compatible rich text editor that supports both of these features, or a way of 'fixing' tab support in Trident and Mozilla-based browsers?

  • Jquery Ajax Call In For Loop Only Runs Once - Possible Issue with Timing & Exit Condition?

    - by Grumps
    Background I'm building a form that uses autocomplete against the EchoNest API. First the users picks an artist, using the Artist Suggest call. Next they select a song but the Song and/Or Artist song search doesn't provide a "wild card" search. It only returns exact matches. So based on the forums they suggest building an array of the songs and using auto complete on the array. I can only get a maximum of 100 responses at a time. I do know based on the initial response the number of songs. My Plan: Wrap the ajax call in a for loop ('runonceloop'). Amend the loop exit condition after the first response with the total number of songs. Challenge I'm having: The 'runonceloop' only completes a singe loop because or at least that's what I believe: The exit condition is satisfied before the first response [1] is received. I've tried to adjust the 'exit condition' and 'counter' such that they are set and and increased at the end of the success block. This seems to lock up my browser. Can someone provide some guidance on this situation?[2] I'd really appreciate it. I also don't think turning async off is a good idea because it locks the browser. Response[1]: { "response": { "status": { "code": "0", "message": "Success", "version": "4.2" }, "start": 0, "total": 121, //Used for "songs": [ { "id": "SOXZYYG127F3E1B7A2", "title": "Karma police" }, { "id": "SOXZABD127F3E1B7A2", "title" : "Creep" } ] } } } Code[2] var songsList = []; function getSongs() { var numsongs = 2; //at least 2 runs. var startindex = 0; runonceloop: //<~~~~Referenced in question for (var j = 0;j >= numsongs;) { console.log('numsongs' + numsongs); $.ajax({ url: "http://developer.echonest.com/api/v4/artist/songs", dataType: "jsonp", data: { results: 100, api_key: "XXXXXXXXXXX", format: "jsonp", name: $("#artist").val(), start: startindex }, success: function (data) { var songs = data.response.songs; numsongs = data.response.total; //modify exit condition for (var i = 0; i < songs.length; i++) { songsList.push(songs[i].title); } j +=100;// increase by 100 to match number of responses. } }); }};

But can I do this on my websites and can I include different versions of my CSS file just by changing the numbers?

  • can some hacker steal the cookie from a user and login with that name on the web site ?

    - by Aristos
    Reading this question different users get the same cookie value in aspxanonymous and search for a solution, I start thinking, if it is possible for some one to really steal the cookie with some way, and then place it on his browser and login lets say as administrator. Do you know how form authentication can ensure that even if the cookie is stoled, the hacker not actual login using it ? Or do you know any other automatic defense mechanism ? Thank you in advanced.
