  • How can I get rid of specific error messages in the mac terminal?

    For some reasons i always get the following whenever i log into my terminal: : command not found : command not found : command not found : command not found : command not found It's really a minor problem because everything is working fine, or at least everything what im using in the terminal. Still it would just look nicer without them. Any help? I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8 <= if this helps solving the problem

  • Western Digital Smartware not detect External HDD

    Hi people, i recently buy WD Mybook Essential HDD 1 TB. I downloaded and install Smartware software in both my desktop (windows xp) and laptop (Windows 7) but in both case the s/w is not able to detect the external hard disc. It shows desktop/laptop (Whichever is apt) on left hand side of software but not the hard drive on right side. Why so? i need to install smartware s/w as my friend had gave me which i suppose had deleted the software. please help me thanks

  • New computer WindowsXP on Server 2003 network will not connect to file server

    When we try to connect to our file server with the new computer, it denies access. The computer is joined to the domain and I can see it on active directory. We need to connect to the file server for printing and terminal services. We have had this happen before and found that reinstalling Windows will fix the problem but I would like a speedier solution. any help would be appreciated.

  • How do software .dmg files mount or work in OS X?

    I am a new Mac user and have an iMac. Coming from the Windows world where everything is installer based, OS X seems to mount .dmg files and run them. I've seen this happen prior to an install and later it requests us to move an icon to the Applications folder. Could someone help me unclutter the install process on OS X. What or how does it work?     I am unable to upload files to website hosted under IIS7. I have already given write permissions to "IUSR_websitename" and set the property in web.config also. I am able to upload files with out log in to application at the time of user registration. But once log in to application, if I upload files, it is giving "Access denied" error. Please help me.

The main problem is that because it has been stripped down, the ifconfig command has been stripped out, and I only can use the 'ip' busybox command. I've been trying to use ip link set address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx dev tiwlan0 but I get the error, ip: socket: Operation not permitted Any help?

    I have an XP machine on which Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes every time as soon as it starts. I've tried reinstalling 9 and it doesn't help at all. If I use it to open a PDF, it displays the first page, and can be scrolled for about 3 seconds before it crashes. Is there some way to debug this?

  • Windows 7 120 GB disc drive C full

    I have windows 7 and my disc drive has a capacity of 120 GB. From one day to another it tells me that my disc C is full in a red bar but I dont have many programs installed. I deleted all of my videos, games, music, pictures, etc and I was able to free up 30 GB. I ran the disk cleaner and emptied the TEMP folder and garbage can but it still shows a 70GB used. Can I get some help from the experts PLEASE!!!
