• Can't create new folder from anywhere in Windows 7

  I have this problem on two of my new laptops and can't seem to find a decent workable solution elsewhere in forum land. The problem is that on my Windows 7 Professional machines the right mouse button doesn't show the New Folder option and elsewhere as well (via Explorer) I'm unable to create new folders. I'll be happy to get this tiny problem resolved and declare that Windows 7 is almost perfect! Thanks to all of you in advance for your contribution! PS: None of the Vista solutions seem to work here!

  Hi, I'd like to know what software is available in the Adobe Partner Connection Solution Partner Program at the Bronze level. The linked page above states, 'Not for Resale (NFR) downloads for Adobe enterprise products — Limited Use licenses' however, what are the contents here? • White lines appear right in the middle of my Dell XPS M1210 screen

  My Dell XPSM1210 has developed these weird lines right in the middle of the screen. When I connect an external monitor the lines disappear and the display is fine. I would like to know if this is a problem with the screen panel and if it needs replacement is there a place where I could buy one. This laptop is not under warranty so I'm willing to get the screen replaced. Thanks in advance!

• Is it advisable to use multiple ReadyBoost flash drives?

  I am a fan of ReadyBoost and have seen good results using it with my work laptop. I tried something today and connected a second flash drive (2GB) and configured it for use with ReadyBoost. The first is an 8GB configured with 4GB for ReadyBoost. I'm using Windows 7 RC 7100 and was wondering if using more than one ReadyBoost drive helps?

• Mouse settings/properties dialog box won't open in Windows 7

  Hi, I have a problem trying to open my computer's mouse settings by either going to the command prompt and typing, 'control mouse', 'main.cpl' (as researched online) or simply by trying to go to the Control Panel and clicking on 'Mouse' under Hardware and Sound section. I have also tried running cmd as Administrator and trying the above commands but that is of no help. Lastly, if I search for 'mouse' and click 'Mouse' from the Windows search bar, that doesn't work either. In the past I had bought and installed Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 software and have just now bought and installed HP's Wireless Comfort Mobile mouse. Any help in this regard is highly recommended. I won't be able to restore or reinstall my laptop since it's a heavy use machine. Thanks! Yasser

• How do software .dmg files mount or work in OS X?

  I am a new Mac user and have an iMac. Coming from the Windows world where everything is installer based, OS X seems to mount .dmg files and run them. I've seen this happen prior to an install and later it requests us to move an icon to the Applications folder. Could someone help me unclutter the install process on OS X. What or how does it work? • Backup software (that runs on Windows) to burn files and folders to DVD every week?

  Has anyone successfully burned a selection of folders (I'm sure you must have!) to disk every certain amount of time (scheduled)? I'm looking for a solution where I could leave a blank disk in one of my computers every weekend and have a backup ready the next morning. And I'm running Windows 7 RC Build 7100 on this particular machine. Thanks! Yasser

• What's the maximum size Windows 7 allows for ReadyBoost?

  I read somewhere the Windows 7 had removed the limit on ReadyBoost from 4GB and now allows an unlimited number of GBs. I would like to reconfirm this as a fact. At present, my Windows 7 RC 7100 allows me a maximum of 4GB on one of my 8GB flash drives (though I've tried to connect two at a time and use 4GB on one and 2GB on another). Thanks!
