  • passing custom object as parameter to a webmethod of asp.net web service

    Hi, I have a custom class declared as follows (in vb.net) <Serializable()> _ Public Class NumInfo Public n As String Public f As Integer Public fc As char() Public t As Integer Public tc As char() Private validFlag As Boolean = True Public Sub New() End Sub 'I also have public properties(read/write) for all the public variablesEnd Class In my service.asmx codebehind class I have a webmethod as follows: <WebMethod()> _ <XmlInclude(GetType(NumInfo))> _ Public Function ConvertTo(ByVal info As NumInfo) As String Return mbc(info)'mbc is another function defined in my service.asmx "service" class End Function The problem is that when I start debugging it to test it, the page that I get does not contain any fields where I could input the values for the public fields of numInfo. How do I initialise the class? There is no "Invoke" button either. All I see are soap details as below: ConvertToTestThe test form is only available for methods with primitive types as parameters.SOAP 1.1The following is a sample SOAP 1.1 request and response. I tried replacing the custom object parameter with a primitive parameter just to check how things worked and it rendered a page with an input field and invoke button. I just can't seem to get it working with custom object. Help!

We have a backup duplicate databases that we are using as a test databases, but we don't have this key in there. How can I duplicate this symmetric key and put it in the existing databases? It has to have the same value and key-name as the other one. This is on MS SQL Server 2008 .

  • Detect if a hudson build is manually or schedule (periodically) invoked

    Ive set up deployment in hudson. SVN Build copy to production. I need to set up a schedule build to test for build error which is running every hour or so. What i dont want is the schedules builds to deploy to production. Is it posible to detect, in nant, if the current build is a scheduled build or a manually started build. Or should i create a seperate project for the schedule build?

  • hook_user not being called for 'login' operation

    I've read in the drupal documentation that hook_user should be invoked for the login operation. To test this I've added a call to drupal_set_message at the top of my modules hook implementation and the only message I'm receiving is a call with 'load' as the $op. I've confirmed that drupal_set_message can be called multiple times and it doesn't erase the previous message, so I'm confident that hook_user is only being invoked the one time. Any good reasons for why hook_user isn't being invoked with 'login' as an operation when I'm logging in?

    I have a class called Test which has four public properties and one of them is static. the problem is after deserialization the static property contains null value. i have debugged the code and found that at server side it contains the value which is a collection , but at client side it becomes null after deserialization. i know static members doesn't serialize and deserialize so obviously it should contain the value.

    I'm trying to match a pattern into a string in XSLT/XPath using the matches function, as follows: <xsl:when test="matches('awesome','awe')"> ... </xsl:when> However, in both Firefox 3.5.9 and IE8, it doesn't show up. IE8 tells me that "'matches' is not a valid XSLT or XPath function." Is this due to XSLT 2.0 not being supported, and is there a way around this?

    I cannot get getResourceAsStream to find a file. I have put the file in the top level dir, target dir, etc, etc and have tried it with a "/" in front as well. Everytime it returns null. Any suggestions ? The problem is that within functions the $conn variable is not defined even though I stated the method was public (bare with me I am very new to OOP), and I was wondering if anyone had an elegant solution other then using global in every function.   • Why am I getting GKVoiceChatServiceUnableToConnectError? What's wrong?

    I'm trying to implement GK's voice chat. I have the underlying network done over wifi instead of bluetooth. Between the simulator and my test device, I was able to accept the invitation. But immediately after, I get the call didNotStartWithParticipantID, with the following error: Error Domain=GKVoiceChatServiceErrorDomain Code=32002 UserInfo=0x3b286f0 "Network conditions prevented connection." Any ideas? What's causing this?
