I just ran a command
update sometable set col = '1';
by mistake without specifying the where condition.
Is it possible to recover the previous version of the table?
A little help from you all...
I was trying to convert a simple java program into jar but nothing seems to have happened.
I have 2 files: Tester.java , Tester.Class.
Then I used this command line:
jar -cvf Tester.jar Tester.class
The .jar file was created but nothing seems to work.
What did I miss?
Hello,
I have this command openssl genrsa -des3 -out host.key 1024
it asks me for a password, I want to automate it!
how I can make it read the password from a text file (host.pass) so it will not ask me
or have it ignore the password (which one is better?)
Thanks

This (similar version from old link) works in SQL Server 2008, however, Oracle is giving me trouble:
MERGE INTO wdm_test
USING ( select '10000000000000000000000000000000' Guid from DUAL ) val
ON ( wdm_test.Guid = val.Guid )
WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE SET test_column = null
WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN
INSERT (Guid, test_column)
VALUES ('10000000000000000000000000000000', null)
OUTPUT $action;
SQL Error: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
Does Oracle not support OUTPUT $action;? If not, is there an alternative?
I have this code
$("body").on({
click: function(event){
event.preventDefault();
var aLink = $(this).attr("href");
$("#content").load(aLink+" #loader", function(){
//Callback here
});
$("#crumbbar").load(aLink+' .breadcrumbs', function(){
//Callback here
});
}
}, "a");
Can this be optimized in such a way that I only have 1 load command?
It does not appear to be possible to call Windows system commands (e.g. del, move, etc) using GNU Make.
When the following rule is run, an error is reported del: command not found:
clean:
del *.o
This is presumably because there is no such execuatable as "del". I've also tried running it as an option to cmd but with this only seems to open a new prompt:
clean:
cmd /C del *.o
I'm using GNU Make 3.79.1 that is bundled as part of MSys.
I'm developping a web application in Eclipse and I'm using maven, spring and tomcat.
Now the problem I have is that debug as = debug on server doesn't work.
I just get exceptions. (and yes I've created the server)
If I use the mvn command to compile it, put the war in my tomcat webapps dir and start my tomcat the application works fine. But for the functionallity I'm now working on debugging would be usefull.
Hi,
Recently my VS has started doing a search through all project assemblies after a project is reloaded, or after I close a window following a Go to Definition command. It just says Searching in the status bar, and enumerates the assembly names. It's driving me nuts, because the process can take up to a minute, and it completely locks up the whole application while it's doing this.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks,
Aleko
I'm trying make a lists difference. Found directly prelude operator \\\\ that makes lists difference. But errors Not in scope: '\\\\' occurs. Here is my simple from command line interpreter:

[1,2,3,4,5,6]
prelude> ([1,2,3] \\\\ [1,2]) -- erros occurs
<interactive>:1:11: Not in scope: "\\\\"
Thanks for explanation where I make a mistake.
My apologies if my title is not descriptive enough, I believe the following will be.
I have 3 files which are just plain text, within each file, is a date
Date: 2012-08-31 for example
I would like to get a command/script to find this and update to the current date, but the date will be ever changing and may not be known going in (without viewing the contents of the file
Knowing what the date is, its simple enough with sed, but how can I do this knowing the syntax of the line I want to modify, but not the specific values. ("Date: " at least is unchanging)
I wonder how to list the content of a tar file only down to some level?
I understand tar tvf mytar.tar will list all files, but sometimes I would like to only see directories down to some level.
Similarly, for the command ls, how do I control the level of subdirectories that will be displayed? By default, it will only show the direct subdirectories, but not go further.
I am using Solaris. I have to log into sql plus and run some queries, which give a huge result set.
I want to copy all that into a file. Is there any command for it in unix or sqlplus ?
This is either trivial or runs counter to the philosophy of how make should be used, but I'd like to have a command line that reads as "make debug" rather than "make DEBUG=1". I tried creating a phony target called debug that did nothing except set the DEBUG variable, but then there was a difference between "make debug build" and "make build debug"--namely that in one case, the variable got set after the build happened.
Is there a way to give certain targets precedence?
Thanks for your help.
I'd like a good method that matches the interface of subprocess.check_call -- ie, it throws CalledProcessError when it fails, is synchronous, &c -- but instead of returning the return code of the command (if it even does that) returns the program's output, either only stdout, or a tuple of (stdout, stderr).
Does somebody have a method that does this?
Hi,
I have a c program which I can launch atcommand prompt.
Is it possible for me the lunch this application in my another c program?
If yes, how? All the google result shows me how to do that using pthread? Will that work?
I suspect that I need a new process for my c program.
Thank you.
Hey guys I need to send the content of an NSMutableArray through email. I have a mailing function but I'm not sure on how to place the content of the array into a NSString to be displayed on the email under each other. Is there a way to place all the content of the array into the string with maybe HTML nextline command between each array element?
NSString *emailBody = @"Need to put the body here";
Thanks
I understand how to use REST for doing general entity interactions - using urls names to map to entities and the HTTP verbs to map to actions on those entities. But what is the generally accepted way of looking at "actions" more like RPC?
For example, let's say I want to send a command for the device to reset? There's no real "entity" here or do I do something like POST to http://mydevice/device/reset?
Hi,
I have set the correct CVS Root, within this root I have a repository which
contains a number of files. In particular, I am interested in the revisions of
one of the files, lets call it test.tex. Now I would like to get ALL different versions
of this file, from the repository. Is there somehow a command that I could use to do that?
Or do I need to extract them one after the other?
Many thanks!
I have some files in the same directory (in UNIX filesystem) that looks like:
a.txt.name
b.xml.name
c.properties.name
a.txt.name2
b.xml.name2
c.properties.name2
How do I get the string before the name or name2 part using some shell command?
ie. the a.txt, b.xml, c.properties part?
On occasion, I find myself wanting to search the text of changelist descriptions in Perforce. There doesn't appear to be a way to do this in P4V. I can do it by redirecting the output of the changes command to a file...
p4 changes -l > p4changes.txt
...(the -l switch tells it to dump the full text of the changelist descriptions) and then searching the file, but this is rather cumbersome. Has anyone found a better way?
I am trying to make a little application to allow to record actions within a Flash and Silverlight application. In such manner that you can compile your interactive application in test-mode and then be able to click on elements which then passed the action to Selenium IDE which then adds this command to the testcase.
I am curious if this even possible and how I can achieve this in Firefox?
How do you even look at the web.config file? I don't know where to go to turn custom errors off...help!
I tried command prompt and java script....can any one help me?
I just upgraded my slime using elpa in Emacs. But I wonder if things are like they should be now, because when I removed the old version using elpa, it complained it could not remove a certain folder. So, when I start up Emacs (I know, I shouldn't have closed it), how I can see which slime version actually gets used? Is there a command like M-x slime-version ?
Is there a way to speed up PostgreSQL's createdb command?
Normally I wouldn't care, but doing unit testing in Django creates a database every time, and it takes about 5 seconds.
I'm using openSUSE 11.2 64-bit, PostgreSQL 8.4.2
