  • how to run few vim commands in a raw

    - by temujin.ya.ru
Hello. This is really noob question. There is set of vim commands : command1 : command2 etc., which I would neet to type in in a raw quite often. How to I make it automatic? It is simple regexp replace command set, however I cannot script those in sed, since it involves non-latin locales and for some reason vim handles non-latin regexps correctly, while sed not.

  • Overriding 'require' in Clojure?

    - by StackedCrooked
Would it be possible to override the 'require' command so that it will try to download a certain resource if it was not found on the local machine. For example: (require 'examples.introduction) ; if not found => download from the net ; (url: http://media.pragprog.com/titles/shcloj/code/examples/introduction.clj)

  • Can I set ignore_dup_key on for a primary key?

    - by Mr. Flibble
I have a two-column primary key on a table. I have attempted to alter it to set the ignore_dup_key to on with this command: ALTER INDEX PK_mypk on MyTable SET (IGNORE_DUP_KEY = ON); But I get this error: Cannot use index option ignore_dup_key to alter index 'PK_mypk' as it enforces a primary or unique constraint. How else should I set IGNORE_DUP_KEY to on?

  • What is the correct way to create a single instance application?

    - by Nidonocu
Using C# and WPF under .net (rather than WindowsForms or console), what is the correct way to create an application that can only be run as a single instance? I know it has something to do with some mythical thing called a mutex, rarely can I find someone that bothers to stop and explain what one of these are. The code needs to also inform the already running instance that the user tried to start a second one, and maybe also pass any command line arguments if any existed.

  • Symlink in windows XP

    - by willson
Hi, there. The question is how to make the similar thing like symlink in windows like in *nix. It's really hard to write whole path to the file in console (even using [tab], it's not the way if you need to change language). Adding everything in PATH is tiring too. It'll be great to make a symlink running one command. Actually I'm looking for console app.

  • Start Windows GUI Application Development With C++

    - by Chris
I'm looking into creating a GUI program for Windows in C++, I have a good knowledge of C++ in the command line and also in game creation. But I'm not sure where to start with GUI application development. I have Visual Studio 2010 and have created new projects with a GUI but these templates are complex and leaves me not understanding whats happening and how to modify it. So I'm asking where do I start? Preferably good websites that you can recommend or tutorials, rather than books being a poor student :)

  • Emacs bulk indent for Python

    - by Vernon
Working with Python in Emacs if I want to add a try/catch to a block of code, I often find that I am having to indent the whole block, line by line. In Emacs, how do you indent the whole block at once. I am not an experienced Emacs user, but just find it is the best tool for working through ssh. I am using Emacs on the command line(Ubuntu), not as a gui, if that makes any difference.

  • Subversion with Apache and permissions issues

    - by djechelon
Hello, I have setup an SVN repository for use with Apache 2 via svnadmin create command and appropriate vhost configuration. I found that, in order to correctly use the repository, this must be owned by wwwrun user (or www group) or chmodded to 777. I would like to ask if it's possible to explicitly tell Apache to impersonate another user when serving requests to a certain path (from vhost.conf), like with suphp extension, so I won't mess with permissions once I create a repository. Thank you in advance

  • How to handle carriage return with windows batch script?

    - by eric2323223
Hi, I want to use bat to automate some of my work. It should first look up the value of a certain registry key, and then copy some files to the directory that included in the registry key value. I used reg query command to look up registry, such as: REG QUERY "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" /v PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE The result seems contains carriage return and I need to remove it, I've tried some solutions but all failed. Could anyone help me?

  • capistrano initial deployment

    - by Richard G
I'm trying to set up Capistrano to deploy to an AWS box. This is the first time I've tried to set this up, so please bear with me. Could someone take a look at this and let me know if you can solve this error? The output below is the deploy.rb file, and it's output when it runs. set :application, "apparel1" set :repository, "git://github.com/rgilling/GroceryRun.git" set :scm, :git set :user, "ubuntu" set :scm_passphrase, "pre5ence" # Or: `accurev`, `bzr`, `cvs`, `darcs`, `git`, `mercurial`, `perforce`, `subversion` or `none` ssh_options[:keys] = ["/Users/rgilling/Documents/Projects/Apparel1/abesakey.pem"] ssh_options[:forward_agent] = true set :location, "ec2-107-22-27-42.compute-1.amazonaws.com" role :web, location # Your HTTP server, Apache/etc role :app, location # This may be the same as your `Web` server role :db, location, :primary => true # This is where Rails migrations will run set :deploy_to, "/var/www/#{application}" set :deploy_via, :remote_cache set :use_sudo, true # if you want to clean up old releases on each deploy uncomment this: # after "deploy:restart", "deploy:cleanup" # if you're still using the script/reaper helper you will need # these http://github.com/rails/irs_process_scripts # If you are using Passenger mod_rails uncomment this: namespace :deploy do task :start do ; end task :stop do ; end task :restart, :roles => :app, :except => { :no_release => true } do run "#{try_sudo} touch #{File.join(current_path,'tmp','restart.txt')}" end end Then the execution results in this permission error. • Can Capistrano set variables based on a role?

    - by conickal
I am trying to use Capistrano to deploy to two different roles, using Bundler on both, however the Bundler command and flags will be different. Is it possible to set variables that are specific to a role? Either something like: set :bundle_flags, "--deployment --quiet", :role => "web" or: role :web do set :bundler_cmd, "--deployment --quiet" end Neither of those two options work, of course. Is there a way to accomplish this, or something like it?

  • Is there a good extension for SVN in Emacs?

    - by allyourcode
I've tried psvn.el, but the command to diff the file you're currently looking at is just hideous: M-x svn-file-show-svn-diff. I tried installing vc-svn.el, but couldn't get that working on my version of Emacs: GNU Emacs 21.3.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2004-03-10 on NYAUMO. The emacs wiki page, which mainly focuses on vc-svn.el, seems to be horribly out of date, as many of the links do not work.

  • Which is the best sql schema comparison tool for Oracle?

    - by mike g
It should be a tool to enable versioning of a database schema and efficiently updating databases with older versions of the schema: robustness, does it handle all edge cases support for data migration command line execution flexibility, can some data be compared as well In the answers a breakdown on support for these points (and anything I may have missed) would be appreciated.

  • Crash the program with cmd line args

    - by Debanjan
    Lets us consider the following program : #include <stdlib.h> int main(int argc, char **argv){ int a,b; if (argc != 3) return -1; a = atoi(argv[1]); b = atoi(argv[2]); a = b ? a/b : 0; return a; } The task is to crash the program by providing arguments in command-line.
