    I'm building a browser extension that will insert a chunk of HTML into some pages. I'd like the page's CSS to not apply to this section. What is the best way to do this? Is there a good reset I can put on the root element of my HTML and set it to !important so it gets applied after others?

  • get focus only by clicking the title bar of xterm

    ...I've suffered this problem many times and so do my colleagues Sometimes after you stroked some keyboard and mouse combinations this behavior showed up : you have to click a xterm's title bar to focus on that term so that you can input, instead of any places in that window. Whatever you do, minimize, resize don't help. This only thing you can do is logout that session but all the working history will be gone(of course I can save that but it's awkward) I'm eagerly wondering is there any solutions to this? I use ctrix XenApp plugin 11.0. The other platform info: Linux 2.6.9-67.ELsmp x86_64 OS: RedHat Enterprise Linux 4.0 U6 xterm:X.Org 6.8.2(192) THanks!

    Can anyone recommend a language, library, framework or book which focuses on GUI programming from the perspective of a web developer? I have experience in web development, for example HTML/AJAX/PHP/MySQL among similar technologies. However, I have never programmed my own back-end, or any kind of standalone program. Does anyone have experience making this transition, and what would I best study to help make the leap from the browser to creating programs with GUIs (primarily for Windows)?

    I know that in Javascript document.location.href = "#my_id" tells the browser to display the same page starting from element with id="my_id". In this case, the address that appears in the address bar is in the following format: my_page_address#my_id Is this the only method to refer to a specific place on a page ? I'm looking for a method that will not show my_id in the address bar.

  • mysql does not start properly

    Hi I am using XAMPP on Windows XP. Since I changed the version from 1.73 to 1.77 MySQL does not start properly. That means that the status says, it is started, but the safety check says it is not . Because of that I cannot set any password, which is unacceptable. Any idea? If any user seen the movie and if goes to any other page or refresh(F5) and then come back on the animation page then animation should not play from start. I want to play it from another frame.     I'm not sure how best to describe this (as you can clearly tell from the title) so I'll give you an example: I have a multisite Drupal installation. Each of the sites' sitemap.xml files are located on the server at /sites/example.com/files though with a browser (and to search engines) it is accessible at example.com/sitemap.xml I was wondering how this was achieved? Is this called Virtual Directory? Thank you
