• Jquery autosuggest google maps - Load on selection

  At the moment, the Google map code works like this: When you start typing in the input box it loads a list of suggestions. Then when you click on one of these options from the list, it puts it into the input box. However, THEN you still have to click find to load up the result. I want to have it so when you click on an option from the autosuggest list, it automatically loads the result, without having to click "find" afterwards. This is the code I am working with. • How to email CLLocationCoordinate2D as a link

  I am trying to emulate the Maps 'Share Location' via email functionality. I have the latitude and longitude of my location and am currently using it to display the location on a map via MKMapView. I also have functionality that composes an email from the app and I would like to include the location in it but can not figure out how to construct a link, using the longitude and latitude. I have seen other apps with apps with this functionality so I know it is possible. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

• Solving linear system over integers with numpy

  I'm trying to solve an overdetermined linear system of equations with numpy. Currently, I'm doing something like this (as a simple example): a = np.array([[1,0], [0,1], [-1,1]]) b = np.array([1,1,0]) print np.linalg.lstsq(a,b)[0] [ 1. 1.] This works, but uses floats. Is there any way to solve the system over integers only? I've tried something along the lines of print map(int, np.linalg.lstsq(a,b)[0]) [0, 1] in order to convert the solution to an array of ints, expecting [1, 1], but clearly I'm missing something. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

  I'm trying to implement height map smoothing using Thrust. Let's say I have a big array ( around 1 million floats). A known graphics algorithm to implement the above problem is to calculate the average around a given cell. If for example I need to calculate the value at a given cell[i,j] what I will basically do is: cell[i,j] = cell[i-1,j-1] + cell[i-1,j] + cell[i-1,j+1] + cell[i,j-1] + cell[i,j+1] + cell[i+1,j -1] + cell[i+1,j] + cell[i+1,j+1] cell[i,j] /=9 That's the CPU code. Is there a way to implement it using thrust? I know that I could use the transform algorithm. But I'm not sure it's correct to access different cells which are occupied but different threads (banks conflicts and so on).

ChildAttr2 How do I project Parent into a Dto where for each child in parent I will get an instace of Dto? I've setup two maps Parent-Dto and Child-Dto but just doing _mapper.Map(parentInstance) only projects parents attributes. Does this have to be done in two steps, where I would iterate children myself?

• How to convert an arbitrary object to String with EL? (calling toString())

  Is there any way to call toString() on an object with the EL? (I need the String representation of an enum as index in a map in a JSP EL expression.) I hoped something like ${''+object} would work like in java, but EL isn't that nice, and there does not seem to be any function that does it. Clarification: I have a variable somemap that maps Strings to Strings, and I have a variable someenum that is an enumeration. I'd like to do something like ${somemap[someenum.toString()]}. (Of course .toString() does not work, but what does?)

  I'm implementing some algorithms to teach myself about graphs and how to work with them. What would you recommend is the best way to do that in Java?   I have a different but similar question. I have a dynamic dns account where I map my machine's dynamic IP to an address say, www.xxx.yyy.net Now, I have registered another short domain name say www.yyy.com, the hosting is on a linux server. Now, my machine is actually a webserver which runs .net website which can be accessed by www.xxx.yyy.net I need my homepage(index.php) in my www.yyy.com handle the redirection in a way that the pages to be loaded from www.xxx.yyy.net/.... but it should look in the browser as www.yyy.com/... Is there any way to do this using php?

• MySQL update error when special characters are used

  Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had come across this one before. I have a customer who uses special characters in their product description field. Updating to a MySQL database works fine if we use their HTML equivalents but it fails if the character itself is used (copied from either character map or Word I would assume). Has anyone seen this behaviour before? The character in question in this case is ø - and we can't seem to do a replace on it (in ASP at least) as the character comes though to the SQL string as a "?". Any suggestions much appreciated - thanks!

  Hello! I've got some tables in an existing database and I want to map them to a Java object. Actually it's one table that contains the main information an some other tables that reference to such a table entry with a foreign key. I don't want to store objects in the database, I only want to read from it. The program should not be allowed to apply any changes to the underlying database. Currently I read from the database with 5 JDBC sql queries and set the results then on an object. I'm now looking for a less code intensive way. Another goal is the learning aspect. Is Hibernate suitable for this task, or is there another ORM framework that better fits my requirement?

• NHibernate: Dynamically swapping a single domain model between multiple physical data models

  Hi In this article Ayende describes how to map a single domain model to multiple physical data models. Is it possible to extend this principle such that the mapping can chosen dynamically? So for example, imagine we had an entity that could be written to the same physical schema in three ways depending on its current status, and lets assume that regardless of status each entity had a unique identifier. One solution would be to represent the entity in its different states with three separate classes: one for each mapping. Then the entity could be loaded and in order to change its state the entity could be mapped to a class representing one of its other states and then saved back to the schema, making use of a different mapping. I was wondering if it is at all possible to have the same entity represented by one class that held a status flag (kind of like a discriminator), and any save to the schema would choose the appropriate mapping based on the value of the status flag.   Hi, I am developing a Graph-class, based on boost-graph-library. A Graph-object contains a boost-graph, so to say an adjacency_list, and a map. When monitoring the total memory usage of my program, it consumes quite a lot (checked with pmap). Now, I would like to know, how much of the memory is exactly consumed by a filled object of this Graph-class? With filled I mean when the adjacency_list is full of vertices and edges. I found out, that using sizeof() doesn't bring me far. Using valgrind is also not an alternative as there is quite some memory allocation done previously and this makes the usage of valgrind impractical for this purpose. I'm also not interested in what other parts of the program cost in memory, I want to focus on one single object. Thank you.

We don't need this in memory any more as we have dumped the data to a file for input to the exe... Is the best method to just set stuff = null prior to runExecutable(file)?

  I am using clojure.contrib.sql to fetch some records from an SQLite database. (defn read-all-foo [] (with-connection *db* (with-query-results res ["select * from foo"] (into [] res)))) Now, I don't really want to realize the whole sequence before returning from the function (i.e. I want to keep it lazy), but if I return res directly or wrap it some kind of lazy wrapper (for example I want to make a certain map transformation on result sequence), SQL-related bindings will be reset and connection will be closed after I return, so realizing the sequence will throw an exception. How can I enclose the whole function in a closure and return a kind of anonymous iterator block (like yield in C# or Python)? Or is there another way to return a lazy sequence from this function?

• Fast image coordinate lookup in Numpy

  I've got a big numpy array full of coordinates (about 400): [[102, 234], [304, 104], .... ] And a numpy 2d array my_map of size 800x800. What's the fastest way to look up the coordinates given in that array? I tried things like paletting as described in this post: http://opencvpython.blogspot.com/2012/06/fast-array-manipulation-in-numpy.html but couldn't get it to work. I was also thinking about turning each coordinate into a linear index of the map and then piping it straight into my_map like so: my_map[linearized_coords] but I couldn't get vectorize to properly translate the coordinates into a linear fashion. Any ideas?

  Hey guys, I'm in the process of designing a set of views that use the same model in my app, the difference is that some views will differ in Read Only and Modifiable fields. So for example for view A I want to be able to modify A.One but no A.Two properties and for view B I want to have B.One and B.Two as modifiable fields. I was thinking in having a map that will hold this information and iterate both the modifiable and non-modifiable lists in a generic view, but I was thinking that maybe I can get feedback from you guys.   Is there a way to prevent an annotation in a MKMapView instance from being enabled. In other words, when the user taps the red pin on the map, is there a way to prevent it from highlighting the pin. Right now the pin turns dark when touched... • Hibernate mapping to manage bidirectional relationship using intermediate table

  I have an object hierarchy that is as follows. Party inherited by Organization and Person Organization inherited by Customer, Vendor Person inherited by Contact In the database I have the following tables Party, Customer, Vendor, Contact. All of them have a corresponding row in Party table. Contact belongs to either Vendor or Customer. I have a field on the Contact table for org_party_id. However, since the organization can be either a Customer or Vendor I need to be able to look at different tables. Is there a way to map this in hibernate? Or, a better way to manage it in DB/ hibernate?

• Drupal: FileFields... internal server error

  hi, I've moved my drupal installation to new server and the website works. HOwever I get an "internal server error" for each file field in my nodes. In other words, images and videos are not loaded. In Firebug, Net Tab I can see they cannot be retrieved from the server because of "internal server error". The only thing I changed with respect to the previous installation is commenting the following 2 lines in .htaccess # Don't show directory listings for URLs which map to a directory. #Options -Indexes # Follow symbolic links in this directory. #Options +FollowSymLinks Is this the issue ? How can I solve this ? thanks

  Hi, let's say you have an game server which creating text log files of gamers actions, and from time to time you need to lookup something in those logs files (like investigating an scam or loosing an item). Just for example you have 100 files and each file have size between 20MB and 50MB - How you would search them quickly? What I have already tried to do is create several threads and each invidual thread will map his own file to memory (let say memory should not be problem if it not exceed 500MB of ram) perform search here, result was something around 1 second per file : File:a26.log - read in: 0.891, lines: 625282, matches: 78848 Is there better way how to do that ? - because it seems to me kinda slow. thanks. (java was used for this case)

• Exposing console apps to the web with Ruby

  I'm looking to expose an interactive command line program via JSON or another RPC style service using Ruby. I've found a couple tricks to do this, but im missing something when redirecting the output and input. One method at least on linux is to redirect the stdin and stdout to a file then read and write to that file asynchronously with file reads and writes. Another method ive been trying after googling around was to use open4. • Creating a form on non-gui thread

  You can't access gui controls from a thread they were not created on, at least so says the message of an exception that is sometimes raised when you do it. Recently I was puzzled by seeing that forms created on background threads work just fine. My mental model was that all actions initiated by UI input is handled on the GUI thread. Clicking on a button on such a form should raise the dreaded exception (the form and all its controls were created on a background thread not the gui thread), but it doesn't. Something is wrong with my map. (*) well to be honest I have seen one problem where opening the standard open file dialog was blocking everything
