  • Good text editor for OS-X?

    I'm considering getting a Mac. I want to make sure I'll be able to get a good text editor for it. I'm wondering what other folks are using. Features I need - Contextual highlighting for PHP, HTML, CSS, and preferably many others FTP from a hotkey - so I can hit ctrl-s to save, then another combo to FTP it. Features I'd like - Code Completion I'm also interested in any comments in general about coding on a Mac and if it's really worth the extra $$$ to get one. Thanks

  • FireBird .net provider 64bit

    I'm trying to get a firebird web application (IIS6 64 bit) to run. However I'm getting bad image format (bit difference incompatability) issues. Has anyone got any advice to get it running. Details AnyCPU application references the .net firebird driver (through nhibernate) which uses a native 64bit dll. There is a native 32bit dll which I use for local development and it works fine. (I havn't got the 32 version working on the 64 bit server either).

  • Splitting up UDP packet

    Heyo, I'm using UdpClient to query game servers about server name, map, number of players, etc. I've followed the guidelines on this page http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Server_queries#Source_servers and I'm getting a correct reply: I have no idea how I would go about to get each chunk of information (server name, map and the like). Any help? I'm assuming one would have to look at the reply format specified in the wiki I linked, but I don't know what to make of it. Cheers,

The Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the Registry.     Hello EveryOne, i m using asp.NET MVC 2 for my current project and i need to validate form fields both on client and server side. for that i started with DataAnnotations. Now, i figure out that i have to write buddy class for every model or i have to go to designer generated code and put my annotations there (not a good idea though). if someone can suggest me a solution that helps me avoid writing those buddy classes and get the same functionality.   • Changing code at runtime

    I have a pointer to a function (which i get from a vtable) and I want to edit the function by changing the assembler code (changing a few bytes) at runtime. I tried using memset and also tried assigning the new value directly (something like mPtr[0] = X, mPtr[1] = Y etc.) but I keep getting segmentation fault. How can I change the code? (I'm using C++)

    How to check that my params['Filedata'] is corrupted or not? I have function it's reading file from params['Filedata'] and writing it to the other file. File.open(upload_file, "wb") { |f| f.write(params['Filedata'].read) } this line working fine for me..     I'm having some difficulties building up some cross-platform Makefiles, and I'm getting errors from processes called by mingw32-make that don't make the problem clear. I've tried calling mingw32-make with "-d", and I get a lot of debug output, but the actual program invocations are hidden in temporary batch files that are immediately deleted. Is there any way to keep these batch files around, so that I can actually see what mingw32-make is doing under the hood, and fix what I assume is my problem?

    I like to format all my HTML with tabs for neatness and readability. Recently I started using PHP and now I have a lot of HTML output that comes from in between PHP tags. Those output lines all line up one the left side of the screen. I have to use /n to make a line go to the next.     In our developer environment, no users have administration rights. As such, it's not possible to install MSBuild.CommunityTasks without getting admin to do so. What I'm wondering is similar to NAnt, i.e. is it possible to include the files in your solution directory, and just reference it from there? This way, will not matter if the person has it installed, when they checkout latest code, the msbuild community files will come with, and solution will build. \SolutionDir\{solution}.sln \SolutionDir\Project\{files} \SolutionDir\MSBuild.Community\files

But if I change it to null == object.getItems(), it workes fine.
