  I always wondered why Microsoft chose such a strange, search-engine-unfriendly name for such a great platform. Couldn't they have come up with something better? Apparently the codename was NGWS: Microsoft started development on the .NET Framework in the late 1990s originally under the name of Next Generation Windows Services (NGWS). [Wikipedia] Does anyone know why they chose the name .NET?

  I'm trying to get started with Scala and cannot get out of the starting gate. A file consisting of the line package x gives me error: illegal start of definition Regardless of what x is and regardless of where I put the file (I had a theory that I had to place the file in a directory hierarchy to match the package definition, but no). I get the same error with the example code from the web site and with the REPL.

  Hi. I'm getting started with NServiceBus and have a question about the Pubsub sample. My intention was to have multiple instances of Publisher1 running and receiving the message sent from the publisher. I also hacked the Publisher to only send messages of the eventMessage type. But if I start the publisher and three instances of Subscriber1, only one of them gets the message at a time. why is that? Is it a config setting or something else? /J

  Hello , I am doing internationalisation in django admin.I am able to convert all my text to the specific langauge.But i m not able to change the 'app' name suppose django-admin.py startapp test this will create a app called test inside my project.Inside this app 'test' i can create many classes in my model.py file.But when i register my app 'test' in settings.py file.I am convert all the text in the locale of my browser but my app heading 'test' is not getting changed.How to change that any idea?

  I am trying to load a dll in java using the following code System.loadLibrary("mydll"); The project is placed in D:\development\project\ and i have placed the dll on D:. I then gave following VM argument in eclipse configuration -Djava.library.path=D:/ But when i run i get UnsatisifiedLinkerError.   I have added C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\django\bin to my path, I have started a new cmd session in Windows 7, but when I try to do 'python django-admin.py ...' it says there is no file django-admin.py. When I type path, there is the full path to ...\django\bin. This is driving me nuts. Clearly it's there, but it's not working. Any suggestions?
