  • replacing toString using Groovy metaprogramming

    - by Don
In the following Groovy snippet, I attempt to replace both the hashCode and toString methods String.metaClass.toString = {-> "override" } String.metaClass.hashCode = {-> 22 } But when I test it out, only the replacement of hashCode works String s = "foo" println s.hashCode() // prints 22 println s.toString() // prints "foo" Is toString somehow a special case (possibly for security reasons)?

  • Easymock vs Mockito: Design vs Maintainability?

    - by RAbraham
One way of thinking about this is: if we care about the Design of the code then Easymock is the better choice as it gives feedback to you by its concept of expectations If we care about the maintainability of tests( easier to read, write and having less brittle tests which are not affected much by change), then Mockito seems a better choice. My question is: - If you have used Easymock in large scale projects, do you find that your tests are harder to maintain? - What are the limitations of Mockito( other than endo testing)

  • Changing document.domain to completely other domain

    - by Sergej Andrejev
I'm trying to prove that changing document.domain can be used only for cross scripting on the same upper level domain. For example if i will try to change document.domain to "google.com" on page which is located on www.test.com I will get a security exception in FF. Does anybody know where to locate an official proof of that?

  • How to parse a url string using mvc2 routes

    - by Lavinski
If I have a url http://www.site.com/controllerA/actionB/idC how can i extract the RouteValueDictionary where the item with the key controller would have the value of controllerA. Note this isn't for testing so I don't want to use mocking and the solution here does not seem to be working.

  • REST/JSON: Should I include a newline after the JSON string?

    - by Mark Harrison
If I'm returning ["foo"] from a RESTful web query, Which of these is more proper? Will pedantic REST parsing die on the newline? ["foo"]\n (with newline, Content-Length=8) ["foo"] (no newline, Content-Length=7) For easy regression testing I like the form with the newline, but I want to make sure I won't be breaking any application frameworks that might have a more strict view of the REST format.

  • geting the median of 3 values using sheme car & cdr

    - by kristian Roger
Hi still stuck with the ugly scheme the problem this time is to get the median of three values (easy) I did all these : (define (med x y z) (car(cdr(x y z))) and it was accepted but when testing it (med 3 4 5) I will get this error Error: attempt to call a non-procedure (2 3 4) and when entering letters inetead of number i got (md x y z) Error: undefined varia y (package user) using somthin else than x y z i got (md d l m) Error: undefined variable d (package user) so what is wronge ?!

  • HTML parser for GAE

    - by Richard
Generally I use lxml for my HTML parsing needs, but that isn't available on Google App Engine. The obvious alternative is BeautifulSoup, but I find it chokes too easily on malformed HTML. Currently I am testing libxml2dom and have been getting better results. Which pure Python HTML parser have you found performs best? My priority is the ability to handle bad HTML over speed.

  • Datamapper In Memory Database

    - by Daniel Ribeiro
It is easy to setup Datamapper with a Sqlite3 in memory database with: DataMapper.setup :default, 'sqlite3::memory:'. However, when testing, I'd like to destroy the whole in memory database after each test, instead of invoking automigrate! as a shortcut on dropping everything. Is it possible? Or is it enough to set the default repository to nil, and let the garbage collector dispose of it?

  • What is the difference between NULL in C++ and null in Java?

    - by Stephano
I've been trying to figure out why C++ is making me crazy typing NULL. Suddenly it hits me the other day; I've been typing null (lower case) in Java for years. Now suddenly I'm programming in C++ and that little chunk of muscle memory is making me crazy. Wikiperipatetic defines C++ NULL as part of the stddef: A macro that expands to a null pointer constant. It may be defined as ((void*)0), 0 or 0L depending on the compiler and the language. Sun's docs tells me this about Java's "null literal": The null type has one value, the null reference, represented by the literal null, which is formed from ASCII characters. A null literal is always of the null type. So this is all very nice. I know what a null pointer reference is, and thank you for the compiler notes. Now I'm a little fuzzy on the idea of a literal in Java so I read on... A literal is the source code representation of a fixed value; literals are represented directly in your code without requiring computation. There's also a special null literal that can be used as a value for any reference type. null may be assigned to any variable, except variables of primitive types. There's little you can do with a null value beyond testing for its presence. Therefore, null is often used in programs as a marker to indicate that some object is unavailable. Ok, so I think I get it now. In C++ NULL is a macro that, when compiled, defines the null pointer constant. In Java, null is a fixed value that any non-primitive can be assigned too; great for testing in a handy if statement. Java does not have pointers, so I can see why they kept null a simple value rather than anything fancy. But why did java decide to change the all caps NULL to null? Furthermore, am I missing anything here?

  • How do I classify using SVM Classifier?

    - by Gomathi
I'm doing a project in liver tumor classification. Actually I initially used Region Growing method for liver segmentation and from that I segmented tumor using FCM. I,then, obtained the texture features using Gray Level Co-occurence Matrix. My output for that was stats = autoc: [1.857855266614132e+000 1.857955341199538e+000] contr: [5.103143332457753e-002 5.030548650257343e-002] corrm: [9.512661919561399e-001 9.519459060378332e-001] corrp: [9.512661919561385e-001 9.519459060378338e-001] cprom: [7.885631654779597e+001 7.905268525471267e+001] Now how should I give this as an input to the SVM program. function [itr] = multisvm( T,C,tst ) %MULTISVM(2.0) classifies the class of given training vector according to the % given group and gives us result that which class it belongs. % We have also to input the testing matrix %Inputs: T=Training Matrix, C=Group, tst=Testing matrix %Outputs: itr=Resultant class(Group,USE ROW VECTOR MATRIX) to which tst set belongs %----------------------------------------------------------------------% % IMPORTANT: DON'T USE THIS PROGRAM FOR CLASS LESS THAN 3, % % OTHERWISE USE svmtrain, svmclassify DIRECTLY or % % add an else condition also for that case in this program. % % Modify required data to use Kernel Functions and Plot also% %----------------------------------------------------------------------% % Date:11-08-2011(DD-MM-YYYY) % % This function for multiclass Support Vector Machine is written by % ANAND MISHRA (Machine Vision Lab. • Example of standalone Apache Qpid (amqp) Junit Test

    - by Wiretap
Does anyone have an example of using Apache Qpid within a standalone junit test. Ideally I want to be able to create a queue on the fly which I can put/get msgs within my test. So I'm not testing QPid within my test, I'll use integration tests for that, however be very useful to test methods handling msgs with having to mock out a load of services.

  • GCC how to block system calls within a program?

    - by CMPITG
Does anyone tell me how to block system calls within a program, please? I am building a system which takes a piece of C source code, compiles it with gcc and runs it. For security reasons, I need to prevent the compiled program from calling system calls. Is there any way to do it, from the source code level (e.g. stripping the header files of gcc, detecting malicious external calls, ...) to the executable level?

  • Suggestions for a web hosting site (both PHP and ASP.NET)

    - by eibhrum
Hi, I'm just wondering if there's a web hosting site that offers hosting for PHP and ASP.NET at the same time. It would be great if you give me a site that offers free service. I would like to use it for testing purposes only. But I could still look for affordable one. Comments/Suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
