  • what am I doing wrong? Trying to reinstall Windows 7 starter onto my Acer Aspire One Netbook?

    I have been having some issues with my Netbook so I figured I would reformat it. I downloaded a copy of windows 7 starter, inserted it into my usb dvd drive and started my netbook. I made it as far as, "where do you want to install windows?" and it seems like the computer just freezes. it shows, Disk 0 Partition 1: PQSERVICE 13.0 GB OEM (Reserved) Disk 0 Partition 2: SYSTEM RESERVED 101.0 MB System Disk 0 Partition 3 218.8 GB Primary I cannot click on either of them, What am I doing wrong?

  • Daemon Tools error (0xc0000006)

    I tried to reinstall Windows XP to Windows 7, but I could not install the video card drivers because the driver installation software only works on XP.I have launched the setup program with XP mode. After I installed the setup, I restarted the computer and Windows 7 wasn't booting.But that isn't the problem why I asked this question. The problem is that I have reinstalled my Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows XP SP3 and I wanted to install Dameon Tools.After installation I restarted the PC (as the setup wanted) and when the Daemon Tools launches it shows the error: Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). Click OK to terminate the application.

  • Can WD3200AZRX SATA-3 hard drive work on SATA-2?

    I know this question is already been asked a lot of times. I am buying new hard drive today, but I am worrying that it wont work on my motherboard Gigabyte GA-945PL-S3. I want to buy this hard drive. It's pretty expensive and I don't want to get dissapointed.   • Computer freezes after watching Youtube videos

    I had Windows 7 installed all september. But I installed Windows XP Professional back because my computer couldn't handle the new OS. After first boot I tried to install newest flash player (from Adobe website), but it failed. I had my old setup on USB drive and it worked. I don't know is it important or not. I am watching Youtube videos in my free time (almost every hour). After few days the computer started to freeze when I open a page with the video or close the page with video, not while I watch a video. No BSODs. Nothing in Event viewer. I use Firefox only. When computer freezes the sound wont. If iTunes is playing a radio station or is it another video playing in background, the sound wont freeze. Last few days the mouse wont freeze. Its a strange symptom. If I click few times then the cursor will actually freeze. I just want to know where does this problem come from (hardware - graphics card, old motherboard or it's just some glitch in setups). If it's not graphics card then I will be happy. The graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 4650 - brand new. Catalyst 11.8 installed. Things I have tried: Installed newest flash player after a week (the setup didn't fail this time) Installed latest video drivers Deleting cookies Defragmenting hard drive Using TuneUp utilities for computer cleenup Installed latest Mozilla Firefox Cleaned the PC Changed CPU Fan speed almost to max (just to be sure) Things I haven't tried yet: Didn't try playing videos on other browsers What can I do now?

  • Best practice for administering a (hadoop) cluster

    Dear all, I've recently been playing with Hadoop. I have a six node cluster up and running - with HDFS, and having run a number of MapRed jobs. So far, so good. However I'm now looking to do this more systematically and with a larger number of nodes. Our base system is Ubuntu and the current setup has been administered using apt (to install the correct java runtime) and ssh/scp (to propagate out the various conf files). This is clearly not scalable over time. Does anyone have any experience of good systems for administering (possibly slightly heterogenous: different disk sizes, different numbers of cpus on each node) hadoop clusters automagically? I would consider diskless boot - but imagine that with a large cluster, getting the cluster up and running might be bottle-necked on the machine serving the OS. Or some form of distributed debian apt to keep the machines native environment synchronised? And how do people successfully manage the conf files over a number of (potentially heterogenous) machines?     This question is about the Microsoft Sync Framework. Is it possible to sync a DbServerSyncProvider with a KnowledgeSyncProvider? (SqlCeSyncProvider for example).   • Can't click allow button in flash on firefox

    I have a webapp embedding some flash content in an iframe. The flash part is requesting access to the webcam. On firefox/mac os, user's can't click the allow button. This only happens when the page embedding the swf file is loaded in the iframe, it works fine when laded separately. Has anyone else faced a similar problem? D you know any workarounds? Thanks, Alex

    Hmmm, wonder if I have the first VS 2010 RTM question? Anyway.. Installing the Windows Phone 7 SDK I get the following error Incompatible Products VC 10.0 Runtime .NET Framework 4 Multi-Targeting Pack Microsoft.NET Framework 4 Client Profile Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended This was reported as an issue with Beta 2 and the fix was to install the RC. Anyone know why it's incompatible with the RTM? Will we have to wait for an update to the SDK? Regards, Alex..

  • Missing AVFoundation.framework

    Hi, AVFoundation.framework is not where the documentation says it should be. I have iPhone SDK 2.2 installed (never had previous sdk versions installed) and I can't find that folder under /System/Library/Frameworks I did find it under /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.2.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/ folder but if I add it from that location, then the compiler can't find the header files. I tried copying the entire AVFoundation.framework folder to /System/Library/Framework, but it still can't find the header files. How can I use AVFoundation classes? Thanks, Alex

For each of this project I have written a ant build file to generate the war file to deploy the project to the tomcat container. So I have to run for each project the ant build file (a lot of clicks, and a waste of time). When i click on the button the MAIN.class of the jar is called and program is running in independent window(JFrame). After user is finished with the program and exits, I need to get the String of program that is generated on exit and paste it into the textbox (The String is HTML code) Is anyone else having this problem and has a solution?
