• Httpd and LDAP Authentication not working for sub-pages

  I just recently installed a Nagios implementation, and I'm trying to get LDAP authentication working for httpd on Red Hat. However, when you go anywhere else, it prompts you for authentication, fails (asking for a re-prompt), and gives this error message: [Mon Oct 21 14:46:23 2013] [error] [client 172.28.9.30] access to /nagios/cgi-bin/statusmap.cgi failed, reason: verification of user id '<myuseraccount>' not configured, referer: http://<nagiosserver>/nagios/side.php I'm almost certain its a simple flag or option, but I just can't find it, and I don't have a lot of experience working with Apache. Any assistance or help would be greatly appreciated.

  I need to create a working test environment of a domain we have. I need to have all the data from the production environment in the test environment. What is the best way to go about doing this? Here are some ideas I have but I am not sure if there is a better/recommended way of doing this. Use Vmware converter to create a VM of one of the production DCs create a VM and promo it on the real domain and move the vm to my test environment. use some kind of backup utility to backup the domain info and restore it to my vm I created. • Make ZoneAlarm stop pausing my C programs when I run them

  I'm using Dev-C++ to develop some console apps to study. When my program tries to run system("PAUSE"); ZA stops it and asks me to allow or deny it. I check the "always" box but it seems that every time I compile it, it generates a new exe file so every time I run it ZA pops up. Of course the simplest solution is to disable it or deal with it :-P but I'm not eager for any of both. Any suggestions? thanks in advance!

• QT: Scroll widget that renders directly to the DC

  I'm trying to create a widget which paints directly to the windows Device Context by calling getDC() and painting an HBITMAP to it. The widget I'm painting resides inside a scroll widget. I've implemented the paintEvent() and it does seem to paint but immediatly after painting the widget gets painted over again with a blank gray color. I've tried setting WA_PaintOnScreen and Qt::WA_NoSystemBackground but none of those help. In theory this should be possible since this is basically how the GLWidget works. What am I missing?

• problem with pasting image over lines in wx DC

  hello .. i have the same code as wx Doodle pad in the wx demos i added a tool to paste images from the clipboard to the pad. using wx.DrawBitmap() function , but whenever i refresh the buffer .and call funtions ( drawSavedLines and drawSavedBitmap) it keeps putting bitmap above line no matter what i did even if i called draw bitmap first and then draw lines . is there anyway to put a line above the bitmap ? please inform me if i miss anything thanx in advance

  Setting up a default column is a common task for  developers.  But, are we naming those default constraints explicitly? In the below  table creation, for the column, sys_DateTime the default value Getdate() will be allocated. CREATE TABLE SampleTable (ID int identity(1,1), Sys_DateTime Datetime DEFAULT getdate() ) We can check the relevant information from the system catalogs from following query. SELECT sc.name TableName, dc.name DefaultName, dc.definition, OBJECT_NAME(dc.parent_object_id) TableName, dc.is_system_named  FROM sys.default_constraints dc INNER JOIN sys.columns sc ON dc.parent_object_id = sc.object_id AND dc.parent_column_id = sc.column_id and results would be: Most of the above columns are self-explanatory. The last column, is_system_named, is to identify whether the default name was given by the system. As you know, in the above case, since we didn’t provide  any default name, the  system will generate a default name for you. But the problem with these names is that they can differ from environment to environment.  If example if I create this table in different table the default name could be DF__SampleTab__Sys_D__7E6CC920 Now let us create another default and explicitly name it: CREATE TABLE SampleTable2 (ID int identity(1,1), Sys_DateTime Datetime )   ALTER TABLE SampleTable2 ADD CONSTRAINT DF_sys_DateTime_Getdate DEFAULT( Getdate()) FOR Sys_DateTime If we run the previous query again we will be returned the below output. And you can see that last created default name has 0 for is_system_named. Now let us say I want to change the data type of the sys_DateTime column to something else: ALTER TABLE SampleTable2 ALTER COLUMN Sys_DateTime Date This will generate the below error: Msg 5074, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 The object ‘DF_sys_DateTime_Getdate’ is dependent on column ‘Sys_DateTime’. Msg 4922, Level 16, State 9, Line 1 ALTER TABLE ALTER COLUMN Sys_DateTime failed because one or more objects access this column. • How does cross domain authentication work in a firewalled environment?

  This is a simplification and the names have been changed to protect the innocent. The assets: Active Directory Domains corp.lan saas.lan User accounts [email protected] [email protected] Servers dc.corp.lan (domain controller) dc.saas.lan (domain controller) server.saas.lan A one way trust exists between the domains so user accounts in corp.lan and log into servers in saas.lan No firewall between dc.corp.lan and dc.saas.lan server.saas.lan is in a firewalled zone and a set of rules exist so it can talk to dc.saas.lan I can log into server.saas.lan with [email protected] - But I don't understand how it works. If I watch firewall logs, I see a bunch of login chatter between server.saas.lan and dc.saas.lan I also see a bunch of DROPPED chatter between server.saas.lan and dc.corp.lan. Presumably, this is because server.saas.lan is trying to authenticate [email protected] But no firewall rule exists that allows communication between these hosts. However, [email protected] can log in successfully to server.saas.lan - Once logged in, I can "echo %logonserver%" and get \dc.corp.lan. So.... I am a little confused how the account actually gets authenticated. Does dc.saas.lan eventually talk to dc.corp.lan after server.saas.lan can't talk to dc.corp.lan? Just trying to figure out what needs to be changed/fixed/altered.

• Adding 2nd DC to the domain from a different subnet over VPN.

  I'm in the process of adding a second DC to our domain and just want to make sure I have all the steps right before proceeding. Info: DC1 is 2008 R2 Standard. DC2 is 2008 R2 Standard. Network1 is 192.168.39.x/24 Network2 is 10.0.0.x/24 VPN is Sonicwall. The 2 DC's will be at two different sites, but the networks are connected by hardware VPN. (Sonicwall). The main DC server will be on the 192.168.39.0/24 network. The 2nd DC will be on 10.0.0.0/24. Here are the steps I plan to take; please let me know if I'm missing anything. Part 1: AD Sites and Services on DC1, create a new site and subnet for DC2. (Or should I create a new one for both?) (Can I use the default IPSiteLink and not change anything in there other than refresh timer?) Part 2: Point the DNS of DC2 to DC1. Run /forestprep and /domainprep (on both, or just DC1?). Dcpromo and select "Additional Domain Controller for Existing Domain". Then continue with normal steps with default locations for databases. EDIT: Didn't realize this was like reddit and required two skipped lines to skip one :P EDIT 2: When DCPromo-ing DC2, do I need to have "Append primary and connection specific DNS" and "Append parent suffixes of the primary DNS suffix" checked?

  I have two OpenLDAP servers that are both running TLS. They are: ldap1.mydomain.com ldap2.mydomain.com I also have a load balancer cluster with a dns name of it's own: ldap.mydomain.com The SSL certificate has a CN of ldap.mydomain.com, with SANs of ldap1.mydomain.com and ldap2.mydomain.com. Everything works... Except mirror mode replication. • Help diagnosing Likewise Open Active Directory authentication problem

  I have two servers which were up until recently authenticating against the companies Active Directory Domain controller. I believe a recent change to the Active Directory administrator password caused the servers to stop authenticating against AD. I tried to add the servers back to the domain using the command: domainjoin-cli join example.com adusername this seemed to work without complaints, but when I try to login via ssh with my domain account, I get an invalid password error. When I run the command: lw-enum-users it prints all of the domain users, and looking up my own account, I see that it is valid and my password hasn't expired. Using the second command above, I am able to figure out if a user belongs to a particular active directory group. So I should be able to set ACL's based on groups. However, my customer's AD setup is such that he has users arranged in different Nodes. For eg. He has users setup in the following way cn=usr1,ou=Lev1,ou=Users,ou=my,ou=company,ou=com cn=usr2,ou=Lev2,ou=Users,ou=my,ou=company,ou=com cn=usr3,ou=Lev3,ou=Users,ou=my,ou=company,ou=com etc. So, he wants that I have different permissions based on whether a user belongs to Lev1 or Lev2 or Lev3 nodes. Note that these aren't groups, but nodes. Is there a way to do this with squid? My squid is running on a debian machine.

  I'm trying to write an access control for OpenLDAP to allow a user to search with a certain base dn, but only get results back from certain sub dn's. I've played with lots of different rules but cant get it to work. I'm not sure its even possible. For example: I have the user with the dn uid=testuser,ou=people,dc=example,dc=com. I want this user to be able to search with a base of dc=example,dc=com and get back entries in ou=people,dc=example,dc=com. There are lots of other sub OUs under dc=example,dc=com, but only entries in ou=people should be returned (for bonus, I'd only like certain attributes to be returned as well). Can this be done?

  First things first, I'm currently working with an OpenLDAP: slapd 2.4.36 on a Fedora release 19 (Schrödinger’s Cat). The problem is: Even using a valid user with correct password my ldapsearch ends with zero informations retrieved from the directory, plus I've got a strange response on the result line. # search result search: 2 result: 32 No such object # numResponses: 1 here is the ldapsearch request: ldapsearch -H ldap.domain.tld -W -b dc=domain,dc=tld -s sub -D cn=user,ou=service,ou=employees,ou=users,dc=domain,dc=tld I did not specify any filter as I want to check that ldapsearch is correctly printing only allowed attribute.

Only problem is these users have full power and I am not sure how to restrict their access.
