Now I am working on javascript/xsl/Adobe Flex in current project for 6 months. I am getting calls for java/flex developer from jobsites. Recently got a call for a Javascript/HTML5 developer. Is it a good option compared to Adobe Flex in current project? Please guide me among these technologies which will take my career in right direction and good growth which keeps in demand.

  I have a site that has posts without titles. You can think of them as being a lot like Twitter tweets. Should I put the post contents in the meta title tag or the description tag? If I put the post contents in one of the tags what should I put in the other? My challenge is that we have very short amounts of content with no titles. I want to avoid having too many duplicate titles or descriptions. We have things like user name, full name, date, etc.

  Am having windows 7 in one hard drive. I installed Ubuntu in second hard drive. Am configured BIOS to boot second hard drive first (Ubuntu OS). and then i updated grub, so its shows windows 7 in the boot list. I can boot in to ubuntu, but i can't boot into windows 7, its shows error A disk read error occured Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart . then am configured BIOS again to load windows 7 first, it shows windows 7 and ubuntu in the boot list, windows 7 is working, but i can't boot into ubuntu.. Help to solve this problem.. i want dual boot from any one of the drive...

• Blank screen after upgrading to 10.04 to 10.10

  I have upgraded my desktop to Lucid from karmic online through update manager - facing problems, request your help. After completing upgrade and then reboot, I am getting blank screen.   I tried installing Ubuntu on my recently purchased (for this purpose!) Nexus 7 32Gb, with the Cellular option. When I rebooted with Ubuntu, it didn't come up. I know, I need to post the errors I received. I was in a hurry to get back to something usable for the holiday (on the road, Thanksgiving, etc.), so I just reinstalled Android for now. When I have time, I'll post more of the errors. All I remember right now is that it dropped into busybox and I didn't have a keyboard or any way to attach one. (I used the 32Gb Ubuntu, by the way.) Have others seen this?

• gtk_widget_grab_focus() jumping to next field automatically?

  I am creating a 'C' project with glade and gtk. I want a focus on a gtkentry field naming txt_abc and so I called the function: gtk_widget_grab_focus (txt_abc); There is another gtkentry widget just after txt_abc widget naming txt_def. My problem is instead of getting focus on txt_abc widget, the cursor is automatically being focused on txt_def widget, when I am running the application. One more thing, when I am setting the focus at txt_def widget by calling the code: gtk_widget_grab_focus (txt_def); the control is again being focused on the next widget on the window, i.e. txt_name. I want the focus exactly on the widget I am setting the grab signal. How to resolve this problem.

• 301 redirect from a country specific domain

  I originally started using a .do domain extension for my site, but later realized that this country specific domain would prevent us from appearing in search results for places outside of the Dominican Republic. We started using a .co domain extension and redirected all requests to the new domain using an HTTP 301. The "Crawl Stats" in Google Webmaster Tools shows me that the .co domain is being crawled, but the "Index Status" shows the number of pages indexed at 0. The "Crawl Stats" for the .do domain says that it's being crawled and the "Index Status" shows a number greater than 0. I also set a "Change Of Address" in Google Webmaster Tools to have the .do domain point to the new .co domain. We're still not appearing in search results at all even for very specific strings where I would expect to find us. Am I doing something wrong?

• Resgen al.exe generated resources do not work within .net library

  Hi, I am currently working on a library in .Net and I planned to make the strings that are used within the library into culture specific resource files. I made Resources.resx, Resources.en-US.resx and Resources.ja-JP.resx file. I also deleted the Resources.designer.cs file autogenerated by visual studio 2008. I am loading Resources through my custom ResourceManager object [using GetString method]. The problem that I am facing is that when I compile the library within visual studio and set the culture from the calling application, everything is working fine. But if I manually go to the directory and change a string for a culture and regenerate the satellite assembly with resgen and al.exe, the string displayed, falls back to the invariant culture.   Hi all, To add the Command prompt in VS 2008 express edition, i have done the following steps: Tools-ExternalTools-Click on Add- Then I have entered the following information. Title: Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt Command: cmd.exe Arguments: %comspec% /k ""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\vcvarsall.bat"" x86 Initial Directory: $(ProjectDir) Then OK/Apply: After this when I went to Tools Menu and click on Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt, command prompt open but got the following error message: '"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\vcvarsall.bat"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE Please somebody help me to fix this problem.. I used Socket s = new Socket(ip, port) Now it works fine. but when my internet connection is very slow that time after a long interval (even if sometimes after 2 minutes) i used to get SocketTimeOutException in that line. means it gives that error while creating socket. I want the exception should be handled properly means if internet connection is very slow then if that error occurs it happens very late now . I want if this type of error occurs then it should be caught very fast means the error should not come at such a delay interval of time rather it should come immediately. How to achieve this.   How to write a java program which will tell me whether I have internet access or not. I donot want to ping or create connection with some external url because if that server will be down then my program will not work. I want reliable way to detect which will tell me 100% guarantee that whether I have internet connection or not irrespective of my Operating System. I want the program for the computers who are directly connected to internet.
