  • Google maps event problem with flex actionscript

    - by DEH
I am able to render a google map on a flex canvas. I create the map using the code below and then place markers on it in the onMapReady method (not shown) var map:com.google.maps.Map=new com.google.maps.Map(); map.id="map"; map.key="bla bla"; _mapCanvas.addChild(map); map.addEventListener(MapEvent.MAP_READY,onMapReady); It all works fine. However, if I remove the map and then set _mapCanvas to null, then run exactly the same code again, the onMapReady event does not fire. It is weird, but once a map has been created and deleted, the onMapReady event never seems to fire again. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

  • Objective-C stringWithFormat misses an argument?

    - by rocity
When I run this code: - (NSString *)description{ return [NSString stringWithFormat:@"(FROG idle:%i animating:%i rect:%@ position:%@ tongue:%@)", self.idleTime, self.animating, NSStringFromCGRect(self.rect), NSStringFromCGPoint(self.position), tongue ]; } I get the following output: (FROG idle:0 animating:0 rect:(null) position:{{1,2}{3,4}} tongue:{5,6}) This is wrong because it seems to be skipping the rect format string and placing everything displaced by one. So idle and animating are what I expect, then rect is skipped, but the result from NSStringFromCGRect(self.rect) is placed into position, then the result for position is pushed to tongue, then tongue is not displayed at all. I'm at a loss.

  • mysql left join

    - by user1019538
I have two table one is index and another is the price structure as under table : index : column : trandate ,indexcode Table : price : Column: trandate, symbol, price i want to know the missing price. I issue the query select i.trandate,i.indexcode,p.trandate,p.price from index i left join price p on i.trandate = p.trandate where p.symbol='ABC' and indexcode="New" the above query does not show the null date even though various price in missing in price table. Only reason i understand is that the index table does not have the symbol field that's why...but as per theory if you want to show all the rows of one table and only the match value of another table then use the left or right join query...please anybody can help

  • Convince teammates to follow standards

    - by folone
There's always one or two guys, who think, they are great programmers, and they don't need any literature/specifications/etc. They usually write awful code, that makes you want to hurt them. They catch and suppress Throwable's, return null's, concatenate String's in large loops, do other stupid stuff. So the question is — How do I make such a person follow best practices and specifications? He does not listen (cause he's the best programmer), team lead does not give a damn ("It actually works, so why changing it?.."), and I'm actually tired of rewriting that awful code on my own. What do I do? What would you do?

  • Database design: objects with different attributes

    - by Álvaro G. Vicario
I'm designing a product database where products can have very different attributes depending on their type, but attributes are fixed for each type and types are not manageable at all. E.g.: magazine: title, issue_number, pages, copies, close_date, release_date web_site: name, bandwidth, hits, date_from, date_to I want to use InnoDB and enforce database integrity as much as the engine allows. What's the recommended way to handle this? I hate those designs where tables have 100 columns and most of the values are NULL so I thought about something like this: product_type ============ product_type_id INT product_type_name VARCHAR product ======= product_id INT product_name VARCHAR product_type_id INT -> Foreign key to product_type.product_type_id valid_since DATETIME valid_to DATETIME magazine ======== magazine_id INT title VARCHAR product_id INT -> Foreign key to product.product_id issue_number INT pages INT copies INT close_date DATETIME release_date DATETIME web_site ======== web_site_id INT name VARCHAR product_id INT -> Foreign key to product.product_id bandwidth INT hits INT date_from DATETIME date_to DATETIME This can handle cascaded product deletion but... Well, I'm not fully convinced...

  • Calling this[int index] via reflection

    - by tkutter
I try to implement a reflection-based late-bound library to Microsoft Office. The properties and methods of the Offce COM objects are called the following way: Type type = Type.GetTypeFromProgID("Word.Application"); object comObject = Activator.CreateInstance(type); type.InvokeMember(<METHOD NAME>, <BINDING FLAGS>, null, comObject, new object[] { <PARAMS>}); InvokeMember is the only possible way because Type.GetMethod / GetProperty works improperly with the COM objects. Methods and properties can be called using InvokeMember but now I have to solve the following problem: Method in the office-interop wrapper: Excel.Workbooks wb = excel.Workbooks; Excel.Workbook firstWb = wb[0]; respectively foreach(Excel.Workbook w in excel.Workbooks) // doSmth. How can I call the this[int index] operator of Excel.Workbooks via reflection?

  • passing paramters to component in flex

    - by dubbeat
Hi, I've got 2 files, my Application and a custom component. In my component I have a httpservice and a string named _requestUrl that is bindable. The httpservice uses this. <mx:HTTPService id="srv" url="{_requestUrl}" result="parseHttpResult(event)" resultFormat="xml" method="GET" useProxy="false"> </mx:HTTPService> In my application file I make an instance of my component in the onCreationComplete function. In this function if I say mycomponent._urlRequest ="http://mysite.com" the httpservice throws a null url error but if I say mycomponent.srv.url="http://mysite.com" it works fine. Why is this?

  • Filling a LOV in Oracle Apex based on data in another text box

    - by Martin Pugh
I am fairly new to Oracle Apex, and have a problem. Our application currently has a method of entering data, with several text boxes and Optional List of Values. I would like to have an LOV based on information in another text box like so: select APPOINTMENT_ID PATIENT_ID from APPOINTMENT where PATIENT_ID = :P9_PAT_NUM where P9_PAT_NUM is a patient number in a text box. However, this would apparently only work if the text box has already been submitted, else it assumes the text box is null. Is there any way to get this working with an LOV, or perhaps some other method?

  • Overriding the default error message for a ModelForm

    - by Jude Osborn
Is there any way to override a error_message text for all the fields of a ModelForm's, without having to include all the field info in the ModelForm? For example, let's say I have a (very simple) model like this: People(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=128, null=True, blank=True, help_text="Please type your name.") age = models.IntegerField(help_text="Please type your age.") I don't like the cut and dry default messages, such as, "Enter a whole number.", so I'd like to change them to something a bit nicer like "Please type a number." Ideally I'd be able to add an "error_message" property in the model, but the model does not support that property. So does that mean I have to basically duplicate all the model info in my ModelForm, or is there a way around that?

  • Returning pointer to a certain value in a macro?

    - by Andrei Ciobanu
Is it possible to write a macro that has a type and a value as its input parameters (MACRO(type, value)), and returns a valid pointer to a location that holds the submitted value. This macro should perform like the following function, but in a more generic manner: int *val_to_ptr(int val){ int *r = NULL; r = nm_malloc(sizeof(*r)); *r = val; return r; } Where nm_malloc() is a failsafe malloc. The Macro usage should be compatible with this usage: printf("%d",*MACRO(int,5)); Is it possible to achieve that ?

  • pass parameter from javascript to another jsp

    - by gautam
I want to pass parameter from a Javascript function to another JSP page. Currently I am doing like this: function viewapplet(strPerfMonPoint) { var dateSelected = document.forms[0].hdnDateSelected.value; document.forms[0].hdnPerfMonPoint.value = strPerfMonPoint; var win; win = window.open("jsp/PopUp.jsp?GraphPerfMon="+strPerfMonPoint+"&strDateSelected="+dateSelected, strPerfMonPoint,"width=800,height=625,top=40,left=60 resizable=No"); } I added hdnPerfMonPoint hidden variable and tried to acces in PopUp.jsp using request.getparameter(hdnPerfMonPoint) but it is giving null. I want my window.open like: window.open("jsp/PopUp.jsp", strPerfMonPoint,"width=800,height=625,top=40,left=60 resizable=No"); Please suggest solution.

  • How can I output the fitted values?

    - by zenbomb
    Sorry if this is a novice question, but I don't understand it. I am fitting a sigmoid curve to my data with glm(). This works, I can plot the output and I see a nice sigmoid curve. However, how do I get R to return the final values it has fit? As I understand it, R fits the data to logit(y) = b0 + b1x, but when I do > summary(glm.out) I only get Call: glm(formula = e$V2 ~ e$V1, family = binomial(logit), data = e) Deviance Residuals: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 -0.00001 -0.06612 -0.15118 -0.34237 0.20874 0.08724 -0.19557 Coefficients: Estimate Std.   • parsing Two-dimensional array in c

    - by gitter78
I'm trying to parse an array that looks like the one below: char *arr[][2] = { { "1", "Purple" }, { "2", "Blue" }, { "22", "Red" }, ... }; I was thinking having a loop as: char *func(char *a){ for(i = 0; i<sizeof(arr)/sizeof(arr[0]);i++){ if(strstr(a,arr[i][0])!=NULL) return arr[i][1]; } } char *out; const char *hello = "this is my 2 string"; out = func(hello); In this case, I'm trying to get the second value based on the first one: Purple, Blue Red, etc.. The question is how would go in parsing this and instead of printing out the value, return the value. UPDATE/FIXED: It has been fixed above. Thanks

  • How can i pass a single additional argument to array_map callback in PHP?

    - by Gremo
    How can i pass a single additional argument to array_map callback? In my example i'd like to pass $smsPattern (as a second argument, after current element in $featureNames) to the function array_map with $getLimit closure: $features = $usage->getSubscription()->getUser()->getRoles(); // SMS regular expression in the form of ROLE_SEND_SMS_X $smsPattern = '/^ROLE_SEND_SMS_(?P<l>\d+)$/i'; // Function to get roles names and X from a role name $getNames = function($r) { return trim($r->getRole()); }; $getLimit = function($name, $pattern) { if(preg_match($pattern, $name, $m)) return $m['l']; }; // Get roles names and their limits ignoring null values with array_filter $featuresNames = array_map($getNames, $features); $smsLimits = array_filter(array_map($getLimit, $featureNames, $smsPattern)); With this code i'm getting a weird warning: Warning: array_map() [function.array-map]: Argument #3 should be an array. Of course di reason is for reusing $getLimit closure with another regular expression like $smsPattern. Thanks.

  • Can I enable PreviewClick using InputBindings in WPF?

    - by No hay Problema
I want to detect when a user clicks on an item on a listview, without using events as I do command binding and I don't like all the nonsense of the behaviours. I have tried this: <ListView x:Name="MainList" Margin="2,8,6,8" Background="Black" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=AssetsVM.Data, Mode=OneWay}" BorderBrush="{x:Null}" > <ListView.InputBindings> <MouseBinding Command="{Binding Path=AssetsVM.SelectActivo}" CommandParameter="{Binding ElementName=MainList, Path=SelectedItem}" MouseAction="LeftClick" /> </ListView.InputBindings> This works fine if I click on the listview but does not work on the items, what I need is either a way to enable "Preview" or have a MouseAction/Gesture that behaves as preview, is it possible? Thanks

  • Add up values from a text file

Hi Guys I have a text file that contains Amounts at Substring (34, 47) of each line. I need to sum Up all the Values to the End of the File. I have this code that I had started to build but I do not know how to proceed from here: public class Addup { /** * @param args the command line arguments */ public static void main(String[] args) throws FileNotFoundException, IOException { // TODO code application logic here FileInputStream fs = new FileInputStream("C:/Analysis/RL004.TXT"); BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(fs)); String line; while((line = br.readLine()) != null){ String num = line.substring(34, 47); double i = Double.parseDouble(num); System.out.println(i); } } } The output is like this: 1.44576457E4 2.33434354E6 4.56875685E3 The Amount is in two decimal Places and I need the result also in the Two decimal Places. • Storing Instances of Classes in Flex Shared Objects

    - by babyangel86
Is it possible to store instances of a class in a cookie or in shared objects. Basically in my application I have an object "Diagram" that the user can create. If they hit save, I want to store the current instance as a cookie and allows them to reload it later. Alternatively, I could see about getting them to store the saved version on the hard disk. But even then, all I want to save and retreive is my actionscript object. Is this possible? I've tried storing the object to SharedObject.data.diag, but when I try to retrieve the object from the cookie doing SharedObject.data.diag as Diag returns null.

  • Why does this C++ code result in a segmentation fault?
