    My application has two node types: a parent node which can hold recursive child nodes. Think of it like the post-comment system in SO, but comments can be recursive: parent_1 child_11 child_12 child_121 child_3 parent_2 child_21 child_211 child_2111 Important to note that the parent nodes have different attributes and behavior than the child nodes. What is the correct (and presumably most efficient) way of modeling this relationship in Django?

  • How do I hook a git pull on the remote?

    Is there a way to hook when a git pull happens on the remote (similar to a pre-receive or post-receive). Basically I'd like to be able to cause the remote to commit whatever it has when there is a pull. In my situation, whatever is live on the remote is an authoritative source which may get modified without a git commit. I want to make sure when I pull I'm always able to get the latest of whatever is live.

  • C++ Array Initialization in Function Call or Constructor Call

    This question is related to the post here. Is it possible to initialize an array in a function call or constructor call? For example, class foo's constructor wants an array of size 3, so I want to call foo( { 0, 0, 0 } ). I've tried this, and it does not work. I'd like to be able to initialize objects of type foo in other objects' constructor initialization lists, or initialize foo's without first creating a separate array. Is this possible?

  • PHP uploads file - enctype="multipart/form-data" issue

    Hi all, I have this upload code. there are no problem running it individually, but when i try to add into my other codes, it did not get the $_files parameter. Im guessing it was becoz of enctype="multipart/form-data" in the form tag, based on this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1695246/why-file-upload-didnt-work-without-enctype the enctype is needed.     I have a controller: twitter_status with two functions: tweet_post tweet_comment in routes.rb I have map.resources :twitter_status In my show post view, I have a partial: _show and _show_comment In _show I have: tweet_post_twitter_status_path (...) and that works fine. But in the in _show_comment partial I have: tweet_comment_twitter_status_path (...) but I have a NoMethodError in the show.html.erb view. Any ideas?

If you keep the process a background process, however, is there any way to achieve this behavior?
