  Hi Guys, I have this css styling and was wondering what I need to change in order to collapse/hide html tables that are empty. • UITableViewCell selected subview ghosts

  Hi all, I'm learning about the iPhone SDK and have an interesting exception with UITableViewCell subview management when a finger is pressed on some rows. The table is used to assign sounds to hand gestures -- swiping the phone in one of 3 directions triggers the sound to play. Selecting a row displays an action sheet with 4 options for sound assignment: left, down, right, and cancel. Sounds can be mapped to one, two, or three directions so any cell can have one of seven states: left, down, right, left and down, left and right, down and right, or left down and right. If a row is mapped to any of these seven states, a corresponding arrow or arrows are displayed within the bounds of the row as a subview. Arrows come and go as they should in a given screen and when scrolling around. However, after scrolling to a new batch of rows, only when I press my finger down on some (but not all) rows, does an arrow magically appear in the selected state background. When I lift my finger off the row, and the action sheet appears, the arrow disappears. After pressing any of the four buttons, I can't replicate this anymore. But it's really disorienting and confusing to see this arrow flash on screen because the selected row isn't assigned to anything. What haven't I thought to look into here? • c# Truncate HTML safely for article summary

  Hi All, Does anyone have a c# variation of this? This is so I can take some html and display it without breaking as a summary lead in to an article? http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1193500/php-truncate-html-ignoring-tags Save me from reinventing the wheel! Thank you very much ---------- edit ------------------ Sorry, new here, and your right, should have phrased the question better, heres a bit more info I wish to take a html string and truncate it to a set number of words (or even char length) so I can then show the start of it as a summary (which then leads to the main article). I wish to preserve the html so I can show the links etc in preview. The main issue I have to solve is the fact that we may well end up with unclosed html tags if we truncate in the middle of 1 or more tags! The idea I have for solution is to a) truncate the html to N words (words better but chars ok) first (be sure not to stop in the middle of a tag and truncate a require attribute) b) work through the opened html tags in this truncated string (maybe stick them on stack as I go?) c) then work through the closing tags and ensure they match the ones on stack as I pop them off? d) if any open tags left on stack after this, then write them to end of truncated string and html should be good to go!!!! -- edit 12112009 Here is what I have bumbled together so far as a unittest file in VS2008, this 'may' help someone in future My hack attempts based on Jan code are at top for char version + word version (DISCLAIMER: this is dirty rough code!! on my part) I assume working with 'well-formed' HTML in all cases (but not necessarily a full document with a root node as per XML version) Abels XML version is at bottom, but not yet got round to fully getting tests to run on this yet (plus need to understand the code) ... • SSH connection times out

  Given: vm - a WinXPsp3 virtual machine hosted by a Win7sp1 physical machine alice is the user on vm srv - a Win2008R2sp1 server bob is the user on srv quake - a linux server mark is the user on quake Both vm and srv have the same new installation of cygwin (1.7.9) and openssh. I think the problem is in its settings, but I have no idea where exactly. The Network Adapter is set to Bridged. EDIT2 All the machines are located in the company lab, I think all of them are on the same segment, but I may be wrong. Below is the ipconfig /all output for each machine (skipping the linux server). I have deleted the Tunnel adapters to keep the output minimal. If anyone thinks they matter, do tell so and I will post them as well. In addition ping output is given to show that DNS is correct. Something else, may be relevant, may be not. • Recover RAID 5 data after created new array instead of re-using

  Folks please help - I am a newb with a major headache at hand (perfect storm situation). I have a 3 1tb hdd on my ubuntu 11.04 configured as software raid 5. The data had been copied weekly onto another separate off the computer hard drive until that completely failed and was thrown away. A few days back we had a power outage and after rebooting my box wouldn't mount the raid. In my infinite wisdom I entered mdadm --create -f... command instead of mdadm --assemble and didn't notice the travesty that I had done until after. It started the array degraded and proceeded with building and syncing it which took ~10 hours. After I was back I saw that that the array is successfully up and running but the raid is not I mean the individual drives are partitioned (partition type f8 ) but the md0 device is not. Realizing in horror what I have done I am trying to find some solutions. I just pray that --create didn't overwrite entire content of the hard driver. Could someone PLEASE help me out with this - the data that's on the drive is very important and unique ~10 years of photos, docs, etc. Is it possible that by specifying the participating hard drives in wrong order can make mdadm overwrite them? when I do mdadm --examine --scan I get something like ARRAY /dev/md/0 metadata=1.2 UUID=f1b4084a:720b5712:6d03b9e9:43afe51b name=<hostname>:0 Interestingly enough name used to be 'raid' and not the host hame with :0 appended. Do you have some advice for me? I have most of the data on that disk elsewhere, but I've put a lot of hours into sorting and merging it to this disk, so I would prefer to getting this disk up and running again, without formatting it anew. I don't think that the hardware is damaged since the disk is only a few months and since I can't see any I/O errors in the dmesg output. Now its the time to start the file downloads. Here is what I need, a logged in user search and browse for Images and they should able to add the files in to a download basket (Let's say its a Download Shopping Cart). • Is there a Windows equivalent for eventfd?

  I am writing a cross-platform library which emulates sockets behaviour, having additional functionality in the between (App-mylib-sockets). I want it to be the most transparent possible for the programmer, so primitives like select and poll must work with accordingly with this lib. The problem is when data becomes available (for instance) in the real socket, it will have to go through a lot of processing, so if select points to the real socket fd, app will be blocked a lot of time. I want the select/poll to unblock only when data is ready to be consumed (after my lib has done all the processing). So I came across this eventfd which allows me to do exactly what I want, i.e. to manipule select/poll behaviour on a given fd. Since I am much more familiarized with Linux environment, I don't know what is the windows equivalent of eventfd. Tried to search but got no luck. Anyone can help me, please?

Every time a postback is made, the server event execute correctly, but when the page is rendering I get this error : Error : Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: SetPartialRenderingMode can only be called once. A search with SetPartialRenderingMode on google was unsuccessful. It seems it is related to AjaxControlToolkit. I have created a simple demo project that reproduce the problem. I need to implement a (advanced)search functionality, and the results are loaded in the jQgrid. When use pagination, how to specify a complex query in the post data? In the serverside (grails) it it represented as an object, which is mocked below class searchCommand { String val1 List<long> ids //from the multiple selection } the above members can be null, if the user doesn't select any. Without saving the state at the server, I guess the only way to make the pagination work is to pass the query object back and forth with the correct offset, index etc. if that is the case, how best to represent it in jQgrid side. I saw a parameter postData to set additional values, but not sure how to represnt the data (JSON??). Any code snippet on (retaining) converting it from the last result to postData would be helpful. thanks in advance.

  I'm using Git Extensions and it pre-installs and sets up KDiff as the diff tool to solve merge conflicts. I'm very fond of Winmerge though and would like to replace KDiff with Winmerge. In the Git Extensions settings, there are settings to change the Mergetool, but I can't seem to figure out what syntax I should use and why. There seem to be 4 variables: $BASE, $LOCAL, $REMOTE, $MERGED. It seems that I should pass these to WinMergeU.exe, but with which command line parameters? I've tried to search for this a few times, but there is no answer that actually seems to work.

But it looks like blackberry doesn't have an internal api for creating single line Edit field. I have created a Custom Field by extending BasciEditField overriding methods like layout, paint. In paint i am drawing a rectangle with getpreferred width and height. But the cursor is coming at default position (top-left) in Edit Field. Can any body tell me how i can draw it where my text is(i.e in middle of Edit Field by calling drwaText()). Thanks,

  Hello all. I am about to embark in using a report viewer in my .net page. I have a page that will search for a catgory, upon a button click, the category chosen will pass into the parameter of report viewer. Now, given that I am a newbie to both SSRS and .net, I'd just like a bit of advice on how to tackle this. Should I make the report in SSRS first and include the parameters in this report or can I make the report without the parameters specified, then programmatically enter this in the codebehind? Basically, I know what I would like to do but not sure the best approach to take. If anyone can offer advice, I would be most grateful.

  I'm experimenting with LINQPad to use LINQ to query the Netflix OData. I'm trying to search for all films with a particular actor in. For example: from t in Titles from p in t.Cast where p.Name == "Morgan Freeman" select t.Name this results in: NotSupportedException: Can only project the last entity type in the query being translated I also tried: from p in People from t in p.TitlesActedIn where p.Name == "Morgan Freeman" select t.Name which results in the following error: NotSupportedException: The method 'Select' is not supported I've tried a few other approaches, such as using Id's in the where clause, and selecting different things, but have got nowhere.
