I finished that pending windows update. but no help. I googed to find that should re-install .net framework 1.1/2.1, i tried but nothing good happend, this error always here. I even spent 4 hrs to re-install vs2010, but still cannot solve this. If i need to re-install WIN7 for this , i will be crazy at all... How this happened? and how to overcome it? • Why would Basic Auth not work with my WCF client to Java SOAP Web Service?

  I have a Java based web service that requires basic authentication to communicate with it. If I type the WSDL url into my browser I'm prompted for Basic Auth. Which I can get by entering the correct credentials. However using my WCF client doesn't work.   Hello, I just like to give JSF 2.0 (MyFaces 2.0) a try using Tomcat 6.0. I am completely new to JSF. I just put a completely static xhtml as test.jsf in the application root. • Auth problem on Facebook using Ruby/sinatra/frankie/facebooker

  Hello guys, I'm using sinatra/frankie/facebooker to prototype something simple to test the facebook api, i'm using mmangino-facebooker the more recent version from github and I cloned the most recent version of frankie. I'm using sinatra 0.9.6. • Seperation of notification confirmation+storage and handling notification asp.net mvc

  After a payment from my web application to a 3rd party the 3rd party sends, next to the direct confirmation message, a notification message. This notification message is stored in my database for future use and I have to send a notification confirmed back. For this purpose I currently use a: return Content("received") Which is standard protocol for the service. Currently, I process the incoming notification by first storing it, than handling it (updating account credits etc in my application) and in the end sending a response. This all works well. But I want to seperate handling the notification and storing+responding to the webservice. The problem is that the "return Content()" is ending my controller method and therefore I cannot simply first send the confirmation message back to the webservice and than call my handle_Notification() method. So the solution would be to replace the return Content() part with something equal which doesn't involve a "return", is this possible, as I do not now the complete URL calling I cannot easily create a simple HTTP POST web request (I tried, might have made an error but did not work). Another solution would be to have some kind of timer or listener which either periodically checks for new notifications in the Database which have to be handled or a listener listening to DB new notifications or something. What is the standard procedure on this, if any?

  If I have a raw HTTP response as a string: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Tue, 11 May 2010 07:28:30 GMT Expires: -1 Cache-Control: private, max-age=0 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Server: gws X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block Connection: close <!doctype html><html>...</html> Is there an easy way I can parse it into an HttpListenerResponse object? Or at least some kind .NET object so I don't have to work with raw responses. What I'm doing currently is extracting the header key/value pairs and setting them on the HttpListenerResponse. But some headers can't be set, and then I have to cut out the body of the response and write it to the OutputStream. But the body could be gzipped, or it could be an image, which I can't get to work yet. And some responses contain random characters everywhere, which looks like an encoding problem. It's a lot of trouble. I'm getting a raw response because I'm using SOCKS to send an HTTP request. The program I'm working on is basically an HTTP proxy that can route requests through a SOCKS proxy, like Privoxy does.

  I have a WCF REST Service which accepts a JSON string One of the parameters is a large string of numbers This causes the following error - which is visible by tracing and using SVC Trace Viewer There was an error deserializing the object of type CarConfiguration. The maximum string content length quota (8192) has been exceeded while reading XML data. This quota may be increased by changing the MaxStringContentLength property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader. • UpdatePanel doesn't load correctly on second try

  Ok, I've got two UpdatePanels on a (relatively simple) CRUD-management page, and I'm having some issues with them. The first updatepanel fails the second time it's updated (infinite loading popout, page doesn't change, request comes back properly but apparently isn't used). The second updatepanel fails if the first updatepanel has updated first, or if a certain internal trigger is pressed twice. Interestingly, the first updatepanel can be called multiple times with no problems if the first has yet to be called. layout example: <updatepanel> <table> <trigger> </table> </updatepanel> <lightbox> <updatepanel> <multiple triggers> </updatepanel> </lightbox> The use of the second updatepanel is required for the lightbox to function correctly (so it can't just be one big one). The first updatepanel exhibits this behaviour regardless of whether the second is present on the page or not. Has anyone ever experienced similar problems/have any ideas?

I simply added the service by right clicking project, selecting add service reference, giving WSDL url for the service and clicking OK.(After clicking ok asked for credentials and i provided them) Then when i tried to call a method from the serviceclien object i got the error message below: The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'.   I have a tricky one. By means of a <cfoutput query="…"> I list some records in the page from a SQL Server database. By the end of each line viewing I try to add this in to a record in a MySQL database. As you see is simple, because I can use the exact variables from the output query in to my new INSERT INTO statement. BUT: the rsPick.name comes from a database with a different character set and the only way to get it right into my new database is to read it from the web page and not from the value came in the output query. • How can I get controller type and action info from a url or from route data?

  How can I get the controller action (method) and controller type that will be called, given the System.Web.Routing.RouteData? My scenario is this - I want to be able to do perform certain actions (or not) in the OnActionExecuting method for an action. However, I will often want to know not the current action, but the "root" action being called; by this I mean I may have a view called "Login", which is my login page. This view may include another partial view "LeftNav". When OnActionExecuting is called for LeftNav, I want to be able to determine that it is really being called for the "root" aciton of Login. I realise that by calling RouteTable.Routes.GetRouteData(actionExecutingContext.HttpContext), I can get the route for the "root" request, but how to turn this into method and type info? The only solution I have so far, is something like: var routeData = RouteTable.Routes.GetRouteData(actionExecutingContext.HttpContext) var routeController = (string)routeData.Values["controller"]; var routeAction = (string)routeData.Values["action"]; The problem with this is that "routeController" is the controller name with the "Controller" suffix removed, and is not fully qualified; ie it is "Login", rather than "MyCode.Website.LoginController". I would far rather get an actual Type and MethodInfo if possible, or at least a fully qualified type name. Any thoughts, or alternative approaches? [EDIT - this is ASP.Net MVC 1.0]

• WCF sending the same exception even if the service endpoint address is valid

  Hi, I'm running into a really strange problem with WCF. I need to implement some recovery behavior for WCF service if not reachable endpoint IP address received or service can not bind. The flow is simple if the application fail on exception on service creation it terminate it and request from user another IP address and perform another attempt to create the service. (The code snippet below). If the address is not valid I get "A TCP error (10049: The requested address is not valid in its context) occurred while listening on IP Endpoint=.121.10.11.11" exception, but for any reason if I try the second attempt with valid address I've got the same exception with wrong IP address from previous attempt. • C# mvc2 client side form validation with xval, prevent post

  I'm using xval to use client side validation in my asp.net mvc2 webapplication. Despite the errors it's giving when i enter text in a nummeric field it still tries to post the form to the database. The incorrect values are being replaced by 0 and saved to the database. But instead it shouldn't even be possible to try and submit the form. Can anyone help me out here? I've set the attributes as below; [Property] [ShowColumnInCrud(true, label = "FromPriceInCents")] [Required] //[Range(1, Int32.MaxValue)] public virtual Int32 FromPriceInCents{ get; set; } The controller catching the request looks as below; I'm getting no errors in this part. • ServiceRoute + WebServiceHostFactory kills WSDL generation? How to create extensionless WCF service

  I'm trying to use extenionless / .svc-less WCF services. Can anyone else confirm or deny the issue I'm experiencing? I use routing in code, and do this in Application_Start of global.asax.cs: RouteTable.Routes.Add(new ServiceRoute("Data", new WebServiceHostFactory(), typeof(DataDips))); I have tested in both IIS 6 and IIS 7.5 and I can use the service just fine (ie my extensionless handler is correctly configured for ASP.NET). However, metadata generation is totally screwed up. I can hit my /mex endpoint with the WCF Test Client (and I presume svcutil.exe) -- but the ?wsdl generation you typically get with .svc is toast. I can't hit it with a browser (get 400 bad request), I can't hit it with wsdl.exe, etc. Metadata generation is configured correctly in web.config. This is a problem of course, because the service is exposed as basicHttpBinding so that an old style ASMX client can get to it. But of course, the client can't generate the proxy without a WSDL description. If I instead use serviceActivation routing in config like this, rather than registering a route in code: <serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true"> <serviceActivations> <add relativeAddress="Data.svc" service="DataDips" /> </serviceActivations> </serviceHostingEnvironment> Then voila... it works. But then I don't have a clean extensionless url. If I change relativeAddress from Data.svc to Data, then I get a configuration exception as this is not supported by config. (Must use an extension registered to WCF). I've also attempted to use this code in conjunction with the above config: RouteTable.Routes.MapPageRoute("","Data/{*data}","~/Data.svc/{*data}",false); My thinking is that I can just point the extensionless url at the configured .svc url. This doesn't work -- the /Data.svc continues to work, but /Data returns a 404. Anyone with any bright ideas?

• TimoutException occurs over a network but not locally

  I have a program with three WCF services and when I run them locally (i.e: Server and Clients are all on localhost) everything works. However when I test them across a network I get a TimoutException on two services but not the other. I've disabled the firewalls on all the machines involved in the test. I can both ping the server and access the wsdl "You have created a service" webpage from the client The service that works uses a BasicHttpBinding with streaming and the two which don't work use WSDualHttpBinding. The Services that use WSDualHttpBinding both have CallbackContracts. I apologise for the vagueness of this question but I'm not really sure what code to include or where to even start looking for the solution to this. The solution works until it's deployed to Sharepoint. • Setting httponly in JSESSIONID cookie (Java EE 5)

  I'm trying to set the httponly flag on the JSESSIONID cookie. I'm working in Java EE 5, however, and can't use setHttpOnly(). First I tried to create my own JSESSIONID cookie from within the servlet's doPost() by using response.setHeader(). When that didn't work, I tried response.addHeader(). That didn't work either. Then, I learned that the servlet handled converting the session into a JSESSIONID cookie and inserting it into the http header so if I want to play with that cookie, I'll have to write a filter. I wrote a filter and played with setHeader()/addHeader() there, again to no avail. Then, I learned that there's some flush/close action going on in the response object before it gets to the filter so if I want to manipulate the data, I need to extend HttpServletResponseWrapper and pass that to filterChain.doFilter(). This is done but I'm still not getting results. Clearly I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what. I'm not sure if this is at all relevant to the question at hand but no html document is being returned by the servlet to the browser. All that's really happening is that some objects are being populated and returned to a JSP document. I've sort of assumed that The Session object is turned into a JSESSIONID cookie and wrapped -- along with the objects added to the request -- in an http header before being sent to the browser. I'd be happy to post some code but I want to rule out the possibility that my difficulties stem from a misunderstanding of the theory first.

• ASPXAUTH cookie is not being saved.

  Hi, Im working on a web project in ASP .NET MVC 2. In this project we store some info inside an ecripted cookie (the ASPXAUTH cookie) to avoid the need to query the db for every request. The thing is the code for this part has suddenly stopped working. I reviewed the changes made to the code on the source control server for anything that could be causing it, I found nothing. I even reverted to a known working copy (working on some other persons PC, same code, etc) but after debugging, it seems the .ASPXAUTH cookie is not getting saved anymore. Instead the ASP.NET_SessionId cookie is being set... (wich before wasn't) I changed the web.config file to turn off the sessionState. This eliminated the ASP.NET_SessionId cookie from being set, but it is still not saving the auth cookie. Ive recently installed some Microsoft Windows XP Updates, but the other person (whos PC runs the application just fine) also did. After googling, some info i found pointed out to a problem with the expiration date of the cookie. Ether cus the pc didnt have the right time/date (this was not the case) and others cus of the cookie expiration date being wrongly set. (I checked and it is being set correctly)... The problem persists with other browsers besides the one im using (Chrome) i tried it with IE6. Any ideas on why this is happening? Ill continue to post any helpful information i can find.
