  • orbean forms bulder + custom persistance api: Why does it call /crud/.../data/data.xml?

    I am currently implementing my own persistence layer for orbeon forms. As far as I have understood the virtual hierachy of data, creating a form with form builder in the application "myapp" with the name "myform" should cause the form builder to call /crud/myapp/myform/form/form.xhtml, passing the newly created form as HTTP-PUT data. Thus I created a spring method annotated with: @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.PUT, value = "/crud/{applicationName}/{formName}/form/form.xhtml") public void saveForm(@PathVariable String formName, @RequestBody String putData) I expected this method to be called with my form. But this method does not get called. Instead the method @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.PUT, value = "/crud/{applicationName}/{formName}/data/{uuid}/data.xml") public void saveInstance(@PathVariable String uuid, @RequestBody String putData) gets called. Put data contains the full xhtml form. Why is this happening? I thought that the second URL would only be called for saving an instance, more specifically the <xforms:instance id="fr-form-instance"> part of a form, once I fill in values for a form.

  • how to use a PHP Constant that gets pulled from a database

    Can you read out the name of a PHP constant from a database and use it inside of a php variable, to display the value of the constant for use in a menu? For example here's what I'm trying to accomplish In SQL: select menu_name AS php_CONSTANT where menu_id=1 the value returned would be L_HOME which is the name of a CONSTANT in a php config page. The php config page looks like this define('L_HOME','Home'); and gets loaded before the database call. The php usage would be $db_returned_constant which has a value of L_HOME that came from the db call, then I would place this into a string such as $string = '<ul><li>' . $db_returned_constant . '</li></ul>' and thus return a string that looks like $string = '<ul><li><a href="#" onclick="path_from_db">Home</a></li></ul>'. To sum up what I'm trying to do Load a config file based on the language preference query the db to return the menu name, which is the name of a CONSTANT in the config file loaded in step one, and also retrieve the menu_link which is used in the "onclick" event. Use a php variable to hold the name of the CONSTANT Place the variable into a string that gets echo'd out to create the menu displaying the value of the CONSTANT. I hope this makes enough sense...is it even possible to use a constant like this? Thanks.

    Hi, I've downloaded the dll's for ImageMagick and am wondering if anybody knows of some example code to accomplish a simple task: I have generated an image in C++ and have the buffer in RGB format. I need to convert it to PDF format (without writing to a file) before sending it over a TCP socket. Is this doable with ImageMagick (or any other library)?

  • BufferedReader no longer buffering after a while?

    Sorry I can't post code but I have a bufferedreader with 50000000 bytes set as the buffer size. It works as you would expect for half an hour, the HDD light flashing every two minutes or so, reading in the big chunk of data, and then going quiet again as the CPU processes it. But after about half an hour (this is a very big file), the HDD starts thrashing as if it is reading one byte at a time. It is still in the same loop and I think I checked free ram to rule out swapping (heap size is default). Probably won't get any helpful answers, but worth a try. OK I have changed heap size to 768mb and still nothing. There is plenty of free memory and java.exe is only using about 300mb. Now I have profiled it and heap stays at about 200MB, well below what is available. CPU stays at 50%. Yet the HDD starts thrashing like crazy. I have.. no idea. I am going to rewrite the whole thing in c#, that is my solution.     I've built a UserRepository interface to communicate with my LINQ to SQL Data layer, but I'm trying to figure out how to implement validation. But I haven't the foggiest idea on how to implement both client side and server side validation on this. (I think I would prefer to use jQuery AJAX and do all of the validation on the server, but I'm totally open to opinions)

  • Trying to run multiple HTTP requests in parallel, but being limited by Windows (registry)

    I'm developing an application (winforms C# .NET 4.0) where I access a lookup functionality from a 3rd party through a simple HTTP request. I call an url with a parameter, and in return I get a small string with the result of the lookup. Simple enough. The challenge is however, that I have to do lots of these lookups (a couple of thousands), and I would like to limit the time needed. Therefore I would like to run requests in parallel (say 10-20). I use a ThreadPool to do this, and the short version of my code looks like this: public void startAsyncLookup(Action<LookupResult> returnLookupResult) { this.returnLookupResult = returnLookupResult; foreach (string number in numbersToLookup) { ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem(lookupNumber, number); } } public void lookupNumber(Object threadContext) { string numberToLookup = (string)threadContext; string url = @"http://some.url.com/?number=" + numberToLookup; WebClient webClient = new WebClient(); Stream responseData = webClient.OpenRead(url); LookupResult lookupResult = parseLookupResult(responseData); returnLookupResult(lookupResult); } I fill up numbersToLookup (a List<String>) from another place, call startAsyncLookup and provide it with a call-back function returnLookupResult to return each result. This works, but I found that I'm not getting the throughput I want. Initially I thought it might be the 3rd party having a poor system on their end, but I excluded this by trying to run the same code from two different machines at the same time. Each of the two took as long as one did alone, so I could rule out that one. A colleague then tipped me that this might be a limitation in Windows. I googled a bit, and found amongst others this post saying that by default Windows limits the number of simultaneous request to the same web server to 4 for HTTP 1.0 and to 2 for HTTP 1.1 (for HTTP 1.1 this is actually according to the specification (RFC2068)). The same post referred to above also provided a way to increase these limits. By adding two registry values to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings] (MaxConnectionsPerServer and MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server), I could control this myself. So, I tried this (sat both to 20), restarted my computer, and tried to run my program again. Sadly though, it didn't seem to help any. I also kept an eye on the Resource Monitor (see screen shot) while running my batch lookup, and I noticed that my application (the one with the title blacked out) still only was using two TCP connections. So, the question is, why isn't this working? Is the post I linked to using the wrong registry values? Is this perhaps not possible to "hack" in Windows any longer (I'm on Windows 7)? Any ideas would be highly appreciated :) And just in case anyone should wonder, I have also tried with different settings for MaxThreads on ThreadPool (everyting from 10 to 100), and this didn't seem to affect my throughput at all, so the problem shouldn't be there either.

Each cell has within it a UILabel and a UITextField, so one cell is: Name <enter name> ^ ^ UILabel UITextField Now, I'm trying to populate the UILabel and the UITextField from a NSDictionary (from a plist), where it's organized like so: Root Type Value Name String Address String City String etc But in order to get the right labels and textfields in the cellForRowAtIndexPath method, I would have to refer to the Dictionary numerically. Is there any way to do that?

    I am going to implement the database access layer of the Window application using C#. The database (.accdb) is located to the project files. When it comes to two notebooks (clients) connecting to one access database through switches, it throws DBConcurrency Exception Error. My target is to check the timestamp of the sql executed first and then run the sql . Would you please provide me some guidelines to achieve this ?   • Why am I getting a ClassCastException here?

    I'm creating an android application and i'm trying to use a PreferenceActivity. I'm getting the java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String error when it gets to this line return PreferenceManager.getDefaultSharedPreferences(context).getInt(USER_TERM, USER_TERM_DEF); I thought it might be because I'm not converting it properly from it's string value in the EditText box to the int I need but I can't figure out how to fix this, or is that even the cause? I'm flummoxed.   • Getting an updated location in Android

    Hi, I'm using the code shown below to get an updated value for location every time a button is clicked. When my activity is resumed I get an update every second, so that when I call getLastKnownLocation I expect to have a location that have been updated in the last second. Is that the correct way to do that? I would expect the onLocationChanged event to be triggered every time I execute a 'geo fix' command (or max after 1s since I request update every 1s), but it's only triggered the first time. Why? Any help/suggestion welcome!     I'm trying to output the main_menu in to a custom theme on the page.tpl.php template however nothing is displaying when I add <?php print theme("links", $main_menu) ?> However when I do a var_dump on the $main_menu I get array(2) { ["menu-218"]=> array(2) { ["href"]=> string(7) "" ["title"]=> string(4) "Home" } ["menu-335"]=> array(2) { ["href"]=> string(6) "node/1" ["title"]=> string(4) "Home" } } What might I be doing wrong? I'm new to Drupal so be kind please :D
