    I building a web application in ASP.NET 3.5 and C#. I have a method in my project which sends emails to the users. But for some reason the smtp send method is taking 3 to 4 seconds to execute: SmtpClient smtp = new SmtpClient(); smtp.Send(msg);-----> This is the line of code which takes 3 to 4 seconds to execute What could be the reasons behind this delay?

I do understand that it is not possible to completely stop users from printing. But atleast disable the context menu or just the print option and the copy option.     Here's a simple migration I'd like to run : class AddTimeOfRevisionToBrandWikis < ActiveRecord::Migration def self.up add_column :brand_wikis, :time_of_revision, :datetime end def self.down remove_column :brand_wikis, :time_of_revision end end Here's what I get when I try to run it : $ rake db:migrate (in /Users/kouak/Documents/workspace/wtb) You have 1 pending migrations: 20100404115341 AddTimeOfRevisionToBrandWikis Run "rake db:migrate" to update your database then try again. What's wrong with rake db:migrate ?

    Can anybody please tell me the registry setting(s) that are affected in Windows Mobile 6.1 when a user selects Start - Settings - Connections - Wi-Fi and then changes the value of the "My network card connects to" drop down list on the "Network Adapters" tab? I have a device that seems to default this to "The Internet" when in fact the Wi-Fi connects to the corporate network and I would like to be able to change this programatically rather than expecting 250+ users to have to do it manually every time they reboot their devices.     Hi I would like to create a text box which loads xml files and let users edit them. However, I cannot use XmlDocument to load since the files can be very large. I am looking for options to stream/load the xml document in chunks so that I do not get out of memory errors -- at the same time, performance is important too. For example, in my python script I'm just trying to use os.chdir("/Users/aaron/Desktop/testdir/") But would like to use os.chdir("~/Desktop/testdir/") I'm getting a no such file or directory error when trying to run this. Any ideas?

    I have made an ActiveX control and have made its .cab file for automatic installation on client machine using Internet Explorer.. It working fine of Windows XP, but on windows Vista and Windows 7 its installation is blocked by UAC (User account control), and when I disable it, all things works fine... I have signed my .cab file with a certificate for development enviornment... What is the way to over come this problem.. I don't want to tell users to disable their UAC module...
