  I'm trying to use sloccount from within hudson to gather statistics on our codebase, however by default sloccount collects information on all files, even those which are "hidden" (eg. .hideme). This means the statistics are skewed since they include numbers from files within the .svn directories. Is there any way I can tell sloccount to correctly ignore any files/directories which start with a .?

  When initializing a new Date object in JavaScript using the below call, I found out that the month argument counts starting from zero. new Date(2010, 3, 1); // that's the 1st April 2010! Why does the month argument start from 0? On the other hand, the day of the month argument (last one) is a number from 1 to 31. Are there good reasons for this?

I evaluated several products and found acrobat x pro , which gives a save as option where we can save the document in word/excel format. • iPhone Launch Image zoom animation not working on physical device

  I have developed an iPhone app with a launch image. When starting the app in the simulator, the image zooms in as expected. However, when the app is deployed to my physical device, the zoom animation is very short and sometimes completes instantaneously. I'm sure it's nothing to do with my app start up as I put a sleep call in applicationDidFinishLoading to slow it down and this occurs after the zoom animation has completed.

I have a simple application in mind that needs a GUI but I want to make sure it's portable to Linux/Windows/Mac equally well and with minimal (no) change for each platform. wxD is looking like the contender of choice because I know the wx toolkit already.   I have read about python sched (task schedular), it works like a cron. but I have a question : lets say if i schedule a function to ryn after every 2 hours and in the mean time my system gets shut down, then I again restart the system...did the schedular automatically starts and will run the function after 2 hours? or i have to start that again after shutting down the system? did sched work like a deamon?
